"I'm glad you brought this to the table for discussion, it is good to let the Holy Spirit search our hearts in the area of our faults, and change them." God Bless you!

In this time of terrorism and difficulties with certain makes of cultures, I think of ten years ago when people hated Russians, and now that has calmed; fanatics not withstanding. But my point is this: We cannot live on emotional enthusiasm. We must live on the basis of the Word of God:

Matthew 5:43-48New American Standard Bible (NASB)

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may [a]be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?48 Therefore [b]you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

*So let's love the sinner and hate the sin.Let's not judge the hearts of men, for only God can judge the hearts of man. And let us not harbor up hate in our hearts lest we face God for such
negligence.

You wont find one person on this thread who disagrees with that.
But, we can absolutely judge Islam.

if you understood what the muslim religion taught you need to be careful

theres a different between culture differences and a belief that tells you to murder man and women who dont obey a false God

i have no problems with the middle east
no problems with russians

no problems with any arabic person

but muslims need to be watched and you gotta be weary around a people that would feel justifed beheading children and worshipping a pedofile

Ok, I understand your concerns in this, but how does that change God's policy to love the sinner but hate the sin? If sin is coming to kill you, protect yourself! But that still doesn't mean I stop loving the one attacking I only need to protect myself. God has never said we cannot protect ourselves. But these things are issues of our hearts, and that is where spiritual battles play with our minds. Thus, I love the sinner and hate the sin........Protection not withstanding!

Explain to me what you mean: .."...we can absolutely judge Islam." Do you mean the people? The place? the ideology? All of these? What?

God never asks us if we don't hate anyone; He asks us if we will love as He loved. The question, (and not accusation, for I never accused you of anything) becomes do you love your enemies? You can do pleasant things for them, well that is very moral of you, but you need to ask yourself do I love them, as Christ first loved me? You need not answer that question to me, only God.

To be honest, I'd have to say, "Not very often."

We might find ourselves surprised at our lack of open and welcoming honesty if someone asked us to provide shelter in our homes for a persecuted Child Molester. The "qualifications" we would immediately put on our answer (before working seriously to find some way to permanently get out of such a thing) just might shame us a little.

Ideology.

Islam is not a people. It is the teachings of Muhammad.

What if they weren't a child molester, what if they were just an ordinary
every day Muslim who wanted to know what you believe. what if they happened
to be a leader in their local mosque who said he felt lost and didn't know if his
religion had the answers any more. What if he started to ask you about Jesus.
What if he asked you to pray for him and started crying.

The above happened to me a couple of years back when I got a lift in
a taxi to church. We ended up sat outside of church in his taxi for 20 minutes while
I showed him passages from the bible and he asked me to pray for him.

Ive also given several bibles to Muslims. Funnily enough i haven't gone out of my
way to share the gospel with Muslims. I have just been open to the possibility
if the opportunity arose.

God used that and brought Muslims who were open to the gospel across my path.

Actually overseas {certain countries} usually are not as picky as Americans about cleanliness. My cousin was stationed in Germany and they stayed at a womans house there. She would get mad when they asked to wash their clothes once a week. She always said "who Americans always cleaning everything". Perhaps they dont have the water supply we do. I know Israel has found a way to make salt water drinkable.

Mohammed's interpretation of Islam is all that matters. Mohammed, the
adulterous war mongering pedophile, is held up as the ideal person in Islam.

Too bad people want to stick their heads in the sand (or elsewhere!) and
pretend that if Sharia law is allowed to take hold in your neighborhood, you
will be free to preach the gospel there. While they are busy building their mega
mosques in preparation for your submission, if you were to want to build a
Christian church in any of their countries, you would possibly have your head
cut off... literally :) I am vilified by some because I wish to see a preservation
of our shared Christian values, and our freedoms that have been so hard won.

There is nothing new under the sun. Jesus said I would be hated for His sake.
I am willing to stand up for the Truth of God's Word, and stand despite the lies,
some of those very falsehoods coming from others who claim the title of Christian.
Whether they all are or not, I cannot say. I stand for His sake, and not my own.

I stand for the sake of the persecuted Church also, which Kayla mentioned
in a previous post, and which I have brought attention to in days gone by.

I am not so deceived, though, to think that by simply telling people of
Jesus
Christ, that they are going to readily relinquish their false ideologies.

All
are needed in the field, sowers, planters, waterers, harvesters.
Are you a harvester? Do you want to be a harvester? Good for you.

Stop vilifying those whose till the soil and help prepare others,
through
education, of what is entailed in the nature, culture,
background, beliefs,
and prejudices of the people we encounter
in our spiritual battles for the Lord. Do
you really wish your
brothers and sisters to face these people in total
ignorance?

I don't.

What if the prophet they believed in was a child molester?

A man who claims to be teaching the Word of God, while commiting an act forbidden by the very God he claims to speak for?

Shouldnt they know about it?

Miri, if you believe that the people on this thread are claiming that all Muslims molest children, then you are confused on what the conversation is about.

Muslims are people just like you and I.

The only difference is they claim to follow a prophet of the God of Abraham, and this prophet commanded violence against the unbeliever, and slept with a 9 year old girl, and commanded that Muslims bow before a black rock.
