Three Things You (Probably) Don't Know About Islam

For every opinion or belief someone may hold there will be another party who just as strongly opposes that idea. Both sides usually claim to sit with the best arguments, the real facts and the correct world view, and (ironcally) both sides regard the other as being indoctrinated, blind to the obvious and outright stupid.

Most people only expose themselves to information that matches their own worldview. It is uncomfortable to do otherwise. Still, we would like to give you some surprising information about Islam. We also urge you to look further than only mainstream media, and if you can find the time for it, read the koran yourself.

To get you started, we'd like to present you three things you probably did not know about Islam.

1. Islam has not been hijacked. That Islam has been hijacked is what non-Muslims naturally assume, because they assume all religions are the same. The reason non-Muslims are so easily confused is that most of us don't realize the difference between the Qur'an and every other religious book we are familiar with.

The Christian Bible is a collection of writings from various authors written sometimes hundreds of years apart, with parables, advice, and dreams, all collected together into one book. Same with the Jewish Torah.

Even those of us in the west who are neither Christians nor Jews, are still familiar enough with these religions to know this much, and therefore we assume the same is true for the Qur'an. But the Qur'an is only one book written by one man in his own lifetime. It is meant to be taken literally, and it is not full of symbolism or vague analogies. It is mostly direct commands.

Of course, the Qur'an contains contradictory statements just like other religious books, but the Qur'an itself provides the reader with a way to know what to do with the contradictions. It's explained in the Qur;an that if you have two passages that contradict each other, the one written later supersedes the one written earlier.

Most westerners are unaware that the peaceful tolerant passages were written early in Mohammed's prophetic career. According to the Qur'an, those passages have been abrogated by later, more violent, and less tolerant passages. So when most westerners hear jihadists quoting violent passages from the Qur'an, and then peaceful Muslims quoting peaceful passages, they interpret that the way they would if someone
was quoting the Bible or the Torah. They think to themselves, oh, there must be many different and contradictory passages, like there are in other religious books, so Muslims can pick and choose what they like and justify whatever actions they want to take.

But the Qur'an is nothing like that. There is no picking and choosing. It says very explicitly and in no uncertain terms that a Muslim must not alter or ignore any part of its very clear and direct message, or they will burn in a fiery torment forever.

Point number two @ 3:12 Striving to institute sharia law is a religious duty. I have already transcribed and posted this part, which you can find on the first page, post #5 :)

Haha, when the pharisees argued with Jesus, I cant remember a time where He ever said something along the lines of "friends, cant we get along? We have no need to dispute what is right and true", He completely used scripture to put down their arguments : p
I never understand when people say "only love will change anything, not venomous arguments", debates have helped many people come to Christ. Facts have helped many people come to Christ. People with the ability to argue their point and defend their stance have helped many people come to Christ.

I really cant see how any of this is evil : p Im certain that people just use these kind of arguments against people they dont like : p You can tell someone that they are wrong, that the teachers they listen to are wrong, and still love them.

God did not command us to show respect for false prophets.

Will someone please rep my young brother for me? He speaks so much truth that it amazes me and gives me hope for the future.

But, He did say to love them. And, that is a little difficult to do without any respect for them... as people.
Loving them and saying they were wrong and taught terrible things are not separate, you can do both of these things.

If a Muslim told a group of people asking about Jesus that Jesus was just a prophet who did not die for our sins, would you call him out on it?

Does that make you a hateful person?

Eventually the world and the religion of Islam will clash,to the hurt of the religion of Islam, and their countries, for they will be plucked up by the roots by the man of sin(Daniel 7:7-8,23-25),nuclear weapons(Revelation 9:13-21),because they are so pushy, and aggressive,in the world, and they will be in much defiance of the way the world operates at that time,in which they will no longer be able to push their religious agenda,no more pushing of their laws, they will not be able to have any influence with their ways at that time, for the world has a certain way it operates, and that is it,and it will be a hate crime to try to convert someone to your religion, punishable in the international court system, for all religons are vaild, and equal, and whatever path you want to take for spiritual evolution, and there is no God exclusive to only a certain group of people, and the religion of Islam will say it is an insult to Allah, and it will result in the worse war ever in the history of mankind,in which a third of the population of the world perishes, which is when government collapses, and the world accepts the man of sin, beast,to help them to achieve peace on earth.

The religion of Islam might be a little pushy now,but that will cause them to pay the price down the road.

But.

Did anybody ever think that it is a set up,and let them have their way,and kind of cater to them, and let them be pushy,so they will get more confident, and push more,so the world can hate them more,be against them more, not want to tolerate them more, get the world upset at them more, blame them for this terroist act,and that terroist act, blame them for 9-11,arm them so they have more power to push, for that is their way, because of their religion, and are they catering to them on purpose,so they get out of hand,to cause the world to hate them,to set them up,and cause that hatefulness towards them, before that fateful day when they clash with the world, for that is what the man of sin wants, and he will do the same with Christianity, set them up,cause hate towards them in the world, and then the world will clash with them, for that is what the man of sin wants.

Ahh! Thank you! Yes when I see younger people who are not brainwashed by the PC crowd and stand against this false love and tolerance they try and preach,Im proud of them. Because out of one side of their mouths they preach love and tolerance and out of the other they tear Christians to pieces and criticize those who say homosexuality is sin,Islam is evil, transgender is not of God, love does not mean acceptance. You love but you do not accept their sin. But today you must accept everyone and make them feel comfortable in their sin. How surprised they would be if the disciples came preaching in the streets today,if the prophets of old were to come and walk the streets. How shocked most Christians would be. John the Baptist lost his head for telling the King,in public, that he was living in adultery. There is an old preacher that made this comment and few seem to understand it,but it is so true "preachers make pulpits famous, prophets make prisons famous". What got them into prison? Did they not have love?! Were they not sharing the Gospel properly? Were they bigots, full of hate and phobias? What got them sent to prison? Can anyone answer?

Point number three, @ 5:53

Muslims are allowed to deceive non-Muslims if it helps Islam. For non-Muslims, this principle, called taqiyya, is another surprising concept of Islam. While most other religions speak highly of truthfulness, the Qur'an instructs Muslims to lie to non-Muslims about their beliefs and their political ambitions, to protect and spread Islam. There are many examples of today's Islamic leader saying one thing in English for the western press, and then saying something entirely different to their own followers in Arabic a few days later.

Deceiving the enemy is always useful in war, and Islam is at war with the non-Islamic world until the whole world follows Sharia law. All non-Muslims living in non-Islamic states are therefore enemies, so deceiving westerners is totally acceptable - even encouraged - if it can forward the goals of the spread of Islam.

As a recent example, the Islamic American relief agency were seemingly raising money for orphans, but were in fact giving the money to terrorists. They deceived goodhearted western infidels into giving money to organizations that were actively killing western infidels.

Do the research yourself. This is not an isolated case.

Islam as a religion of peace. Muslim organizations worldwide often declare that Islam is a religion of peace. But what does that really mean? It seems easy for a Muslim to quote a peaceful verse from the early parts of the Qur'an while, by following the principle of taqiyya, neglecting to mention the fact that it has been officially abrogated by later more violent verses.

According to the Qur'an, the world will be at peace only when Islam and Sharia reign in every country - and never until then. This is why every Muslim can truthfully say that Islam is a religion of peace.

If any of these (three) points took you by surprise, then there is surely much more you still don't know. This subject will affect you in the near future, so take the chance to inform yourself now - before it does.

The Qur'an on abrogation, Sura 2:106
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?

Sura 16:101
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.

Sura 17:86
And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us.

You know what disturbs me the most about these threads? I never have seen a post on Christians being persecuted by Islam. I never hear about those being beheaded, murdered, put in prison. I have not heard threads on that. I see plenty of accusations being thrown against Christian brothers and sisters for not being tolerant and loving enough to accept Islam, but it seems they are silent about the missionaries and people living under persecution in Islamic countries. Not by terrorists, not by ISIS but by the Islamic religion. Yes,secular Muslims seem like us,but go live in an Islamic country and see how you as a Christian are treated. But I see no threads about pray for the persecuted.I started a thread on missionaries and it hardly survived a couple days. Yes, we love to argue tongues and grace and tolerance. But what of the persecuted? Why are there no threads about them? Does Jesus love Muslims? Yes! Can they be saved? 100% Would Jesus confront them with their sin and the evil of their belief? Yes!! This site has such tunnel vision, the only way to preach is the way I preach, the only way to reach the lost is the way I reach the lost, the only way to get to heaven is through my church. Its no wonder the world is so lost and most Christians with it. For all the complaining that people do here I wonder how many have left the comfort of their homes to go reach the lost? I wonder how many open air services they've taken part in to share the Gospel to the lost? Jesus commands us to GO. How many have gone to the mission fields be their own backyard or across the sea. I wonder how much is all talk? My sister was given the opportunity to go to Africa and I hope one day soon I will get the chance. Maybe not everyone can go so far,but you can reach your city. What have you done? I wonder...

Had an amazing time in church today, over the weekend mh church has
been used for a missionary conference, in which over 70 missionaries
across the world came to share encourage etc.

Some of them came this morning to share.

One was a converted Muslim who has since gone to plant nearly 200 churches
in Africa in Muslim areas! How amazing is that! He brought various slides
showing the churches, Muslims renouncing Allah and being baptised, Muslims
giving testimony to how they came to Christ.

He said that as a former Muslim he believed the Koran (or is that Quaran!).
That he was convicted when a Christian asked him, when you get to see God, of your
good deeds weigh exactly the same as your bad deeds, where will you end up.

Muslims believe they have two angels one records the good deeds, the other the bad.
They have no assurances they just that the good outweighs the bad they do.

He said he couldn't get the question out of his mind and he realised do didn't know!
He was convicted of sin when reading a verse in the Koran which said something about
the only way! He realised Jesus was the only way! Get it - he was convicted and came
to salvation reading the Koran. Who says God is limited by a book. Lol

Anyway as a result of all this he has 3 death threats over his life, but churcg after church
keeps getting built and more Muslims coming to Christianity.

There was a lady who explained there has been more Muslim converts to Christianity over
the past 30 years, than at any other time in history.

See next post...

No problem :) you always speak the Truth and say really good things :) one of the best people on this site :)

It's something really nice to see. Most people just follow the crowd. They don't have their own views, they don't follow God's word properly, they do bad stuff, supporting horrible stuff. But you're a good person, and pure. It's really nice to see and something we don't see often anymore.

There is a global call to prayer for Christians to pray for Muslims for 30 days during
the period of Ramadan. There is a booklet which can be downloaded for each day,
which gives more information and things to pray for each day.

WorldChristian Prayer | 30 Days Muslim Prayer Focus for Christians

This has been on going for a few years now across the world.
Will you dare to pray for Muslims that Jesus will reveal himself to them.

Testimonies were given of Muslims who get visions of Jesus, one was where a man
saw a vision of Jesus glowing white in front of him with arms held out. In an instant
he was convicted.

There was another person talking about the place in Nigeria in Africa, where all those girls
were kidnapped by Boko Haram, that each year Christians missionaries have
gone back especially near the anniversary and set up counselling and prayer.
That many in that village have been touched by the love shown and have
become Christians as a result.

Each year more and more escape or are released. Praise God.

There is no place and no heart so dark, that Jesus cannot reach into the depths.

Yup, Im usually confused by others who say "you arent doing it with enough love".
I think they take the "do all things with love" thing too far. Even Paul, who wrote that teaching, called out others for doing wrong.

10 For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. 11 They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain.12 One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” 13 This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith 14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth. 15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
Calling out false teachers isnt motivated by hate, its motivated by a desire to guide others to the right path.
If you know that a Muslim is following a path that will lead to his doom, your first concern should be helping him come to Christ. Of course theres a right and wrong way to do things, and yup we should love everyone. But if you can help him get away from a false prophet who did not know what he was talking about, you should absolutely do it.

Im aware of the stories of the Muslims having visions of Jesus, and thats awesome. But you dont get the meaning of my posts : p

No one said dont share the Gospel with Muslims.

Everyone here agrees, share the Gospel with Muslims.

But you will have many Muslims that stay strong in their faith in Muhammad. And many Muslims have come to Christ due to being shown verses in the quran and hadiths of how Muhammad was not a great man, how he did and commanded evil things. And these very former Muslims, now Christians, are happy to have learned these things, and to have come to Christ.

But if other Christians are shaming Christians who are speaking out against Muhammads teachings, how will any Muslim learn about the prophet they have placed their faith into?

Terrorists are now home grown on American soil, while political correctness seeks to dismantle your rights (especially freedom of speech, which the UN has been chipping away at for years). Recipients of Saudi tainted monies include a multitude of American post secondary schools, from the Ivy League to the community colleges, and everything in between. Even primary school students are being inculcated and indoctrinated by Islamic beliefs, while Christianity has been outlawed. This video is already five years old, but still educational :)

Just wanted to add as well, that all we are asked to do is preach the gospel,
then move over and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting.

The wind blows where he will.

In this time of terrorism and difficulties with certain makes of cultures, I think of ten years ago when people hated Russians, and now that has calmed; fanatics not withstanding. But my point is this: We cannot live on emotional enthusiasm. We must live on the basis of the Word of God:

Matthew 5:43-48New American Standard Bible (NASB)

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may [a]be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?48 Therefore [b]you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

*So let's love the sinner and hate the sin.Let's not judge the hearts of men, for only God can judge the hearts of man. And let us not harbor up hate in our hearts lest we face God for such
negligence.
