To this day Jewish people believe they keep Sabbath.... now what is the difference between that and any of us trying to obtain righteousness with GOD by doing so? What is it if a man never commits adultery? Will this save him? No. The Messiah is the only way to be redeemed so adhere to His instruction and he will guide you home. Let it be through Faith not works.

Good day, also please read what I wrote. Romans 14:5 was not me teaching any not to keep Sabbath... it is a reminder to us not to judge others... each will give account of themselves. If we adhere to the Testimony of the Messiah we can't go wrong.
Hello loveme,

My apologies if I misunderstood your post. Some people try to use that text to say that you can worship God on whatever day you feel like which is not what that verse is talking about. Even though we worship God everyday, God has given us a day of worship and his Word says it is the 7th Day Sabbath. Thanks for the update.

God bless you friend

I would never teach against Keeping Sabbath... I'm simply sharing what I was taught by the Holy Spirit.... inwardly Faith brings works.... works can not bring Faith inwardly... Faith in the Messiah being sent by Heavenly Father to bring us Salvation... through this will you be changed and Baptized with the Holy Spirit.. it leads and comforts.. it corrects us. Glory to the Almighty GOD. Any man who boasts of his works is yet to believe. Boast of your Heavenly Fathers works and mercy for He is Faithful and True always. Nothing and no one compares to our Creator. Magnificent and True. Your will be done Heavenly Father. So be it.

Absolutely! Great post loveme1. It seems like God is really teaching you. This is also part of the new covenant promise that God has for us. God wants to be our teacher personally as we study His Words and seek him and ask him what His Words mean. Great thoughts! I believe the same as you. We are all sinners in need of a savior and there is nothing we can do in our own strength to save ourselves. It is only as we have complete faith and dependence on the Word of God to do what it says it will do that allows God to work in us to will and to do of His own good pleasure. He changes our heart to love Him and our fellow man so we can follow Jesus. This is why I love God's Word so much. Thanks for sharing.

God bless you

The word Sabbath is not a time sensitive word .It simply means the rest we do have in Christ as the lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world .Today is as any day if we hear His voice and harden not our hearts we have already entered that rest.

The Jews required a sign before they would believe .Signs are for the evil generation in Adam.prophecy for those who do belive to the salvation of their souls There is no work we could do outwardly that would guarantee a person has the Holy Spirit inwardly.

Judaizing was obviously a big problem in the early church.

In order for Christianity to separate from Judaism they wouldn't all worship on the same day and for the same reason.

Obviously, (should be), since Christians aren't under the law they would choose to worship on a different day. Probably on the day most important to Christians. The Day Christ Rose.

So now there are 2 groups. Those that are under the law, saturday keepers. And those that are not under the law but under Grace. These that are under Grace aren't under the law and worship on sundays mostly.

That's pretty simple isn't it?

Hi Garee, so nice to chat with you.

How are you today? It is not about work's my friend. God has asked us to "Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy" (Ex 20:8). This is a commandment of God. If we believe and love God then he asks us to follow him. We love Him because He first loved us. (1John 4:19), Jesus says If you love me keep the commandments (John 14:15)

God bless you garee

Careful with what is labeled Judaizing.

The words for Judah from Leah's mouth when she named him were I will call him Judah for I will praise Yah (God).

I believe that makes all who praise God (Yah) a Jew by translation.

Israel also describes all who will be with God (Yah) forever if they are in Yeshua, Jesus.

Hebrew, again, describes all who will be crossing Jordan into the Promised Land forever with G9od, for Hebrew means from across teh river.

We may be called by so many names if we translate them......BÇenjamin is another, "son of the right Hand." Are we not components of the Only Son of Goe, Jesus Christ.?

Is it judaizing to encourage all who are saved by grace to honor God by being obedient according to teh teachings of Jesus Christ?

I know there is nothing I have done, do or ever will do that adds one iota to the free Salvation by the Blood of Jesus Christ, but to encourge obedience to the wisdom of teh Father is not a crime. It is a crime to discourage it.

Now if you do not know what obedience is, look to our Savior and model your behavior after His as best you are givn to be able. You will not be perfect.

The owrk of your perfection and min was begun by God when we repented, adn will not be finished until He finishes it. Meanwhile the Holy Spirit will bring us all to good works. Do not let the word, good works, mak you turn to condemning any who do them for the works are God' actionthrough willing servants.

Do not dicourage the family in Yesua, Jesus. That is wrong.

Its pretty obvious what Judaizing is.

Its looking to the OT and trying to work at it in your own understanding. Picking and choosing which laws you like best. Teaching others to do the same.

1 Timothy 1:5-7
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1 Timothy 1:5-7
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Amen!...we need to keep the gospel pure!

Paul who knew the law better then anyone had this to say about the purpose of the law.

The purpose of the law was :

1) To reveal our sinful state - Rom 3:20

2) To inflame sin - Rom 7:8

3) To minister death in us - Rom 7:10-11

4) To lead us to Christ - Gal 3:24

The law is good, holy and spiritual but we are in the flesh. Jesus fulfilled all the law!
When we read the law we should be seeing Jesus in it. Jesus did not save us so that we could go back to the law.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is how we live now, and the law of liberty in Christ Jesus and the law of love, the law of faith
( the Law is NOT of faith - the just shall live by faith ).

The law of Christ - Himself is how we live now in the New Covenant.

But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.

Christians are dead to the Law, been released from the Law and are NOT under the Law. It can't get any plainer than that.

People are free to do whatever they want in relation to the Law - it does not make one righteous nor is it for salvation.

If someone wants to observe a particular day , festivals or eat or not eat some kinds of foods..etc - then they are free to do so.
These have no bearing on one's salvation or righteousness as all that is based on the finished work of Christ.

It's where people are saying "You must observe these things or do these things in the Law or you are not obeying God" - that's where the twisting comes in and it is a perversion of the gospel of the grace of Christ.

This is an anti-Christ belief system religion which has the "appearance" of good but it is really denying the Lord Jesus Christ's finished work and replacing Christ Himself for the law. Hebrews 4:10

The written code kills........not always. But it does without the Holy Spirit.

I avoid a lot of cutting and pasting because when I post I am posting from decades of meditation and prayer with rerading and learning the little I have gleaned from it. It is enough to have given me tolerance of just texts being repeated to me without a demonstration of true understanding.

I have never suggested anyone go to the law in lieu of Jesus christ for his or her salvation, but the word, obedience always conjurs up that accusation, and to accuse someone recommending and teaching obedience as par of the conduct of the saved of being a "jkudaizer" is a stretch.........a big stretch. It could even be said to be a lie, depending upon who is leveling such a charge.

I love all family members who love Jesus christ as their Savior. How they believe is not for me to judg, nor would I, but when brethren share how each believes, others should exercise the longsuffering and patience of the Holy Spirit when exchanging commentary.

Am I judaizing when I encourage all to be obedient as according to the example and teaching of Jesus Christ.?

Am I judaized because I really love to say His Hebrew name, Yeshua?

Am I judaized because I know that when God said I Am that theoriginal word was Yahweh, only in Hebrew letter?

Am i judaized because I know Jesus Christ is teh Bread from Heaven and I give credit that His birthplace is aprophecy fulfilled of this fact, Bethlehem which means house of bread?

It seems that all who delve into the Word in faith and go a little beyond just parroting what the tradiions of man being taught as commanment from God are it is too much for the psyches of many, but never for childre, not God' childre.

As I just mentione I have done nothing, do nothing, nor will ever be able to do anything to help in one iota my salvation, but my love and gratitude to the One Who save us all inspires me to ook to Him as my example of obedience and to encouraqge all to be childre of obedience as is taught inthe Word....

Hello Grandpa,

How are you today? Hope you are well my friend. To be under the Law means to not accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior and seeking salvation through your own works and rejecting the salvation that is by faith in Jesus. Those that are under the Law are in this position because without Jesus we are all just sinners (the Law shows sin). To be under the Law means to be judged by the Law because the Law only shows us that we are sinners but does not provide a cure for sin.

No one that I know of here is saying that we receive salvation by the works of the Law. This has just been the assumption or misunderstanding of some that come here and do not understand what others are really saying here. It is only as we come to Jesus as sinners in need of a savior and by faith in God's Word that salvation come to each and everyone of us and by faith, it is God's Word that changes us so that we can follow him who loved us and washed us in His own blood. We follow and obey Jesus not for salvation but because we love Jesus and Jesus wants us to follow him (John 14:15).

We are not following and worshiping God if we replace God's commandments with man made traditions like Sunday worship. Jesus says It is vain to worship him, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Mat 15:9; Mark 7:7-8) Another words it matters to God if we replace His teaching with man made traditions. If we do this God's Word says it is (vain) or not truly worshiping God and not following His Word.

It is God who asks us to "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy" (Ex 20:8). It is one of the 10 commandments of God and it has been replaced by the man made tradition of Sunday Worship. There is no scripture in God's Word that supports this change yet people everywhere are following this tradition. As a christian, if I believe God's Word I must follow Jesus not because I believe this is my salvation but because of my faith in Him and because I love Him and this is what God has asked me to do. Do you love and believe Jesus Grandpa? Just my thoughts. I am thinking you do and you want to follow Jesus.

God bless you my friend.

Did the Lord Jesus ever ask you to emulate the people of the OT?

Did He say to you "Congratulations, I have saved you, now go back to your work at the law"?

No. Those were your ideas. But your reasons are hypocritical. You don't follow all of the law. You just choose the ones you like best. The ones that are easiest for you, and make you feel the most righteous, I suppose.

Exodus 20:22-24
22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

Isn't that Gods Law by your own definition? But you don't do that? Because the Lord Jesus has fulfilled it.

At some point the light bulb should turn on.

Yes, that is pretty much Judaizing.

Hebrews 7:18-19
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

If you are going to preach the Lord Jesus Christ you might as well go "all in".

Why try to blend Judaism with Christianity? Why try to blend the carnal with the spiritual? Why try to blend your "obedience" with the Lords Obedience?

Because you want to justify your work. I wish I could too. But our righteousness is dirty rags before God. Its not even close.

If that is judaizing it must really terrorize those who belive the sam when I confess I know the Throne of David is named for Jesus christ.

You see David means Beloved, and who can be said to be more Beloved than our Lord and Savior?

It is ad to be put on the inquisition's block for having a desire to truly delve into the Word of God, even if it means also confessing to be a son of Abraham

By the way, Abraham is translated fully to mean Honored Fathe of Nations. Yes, Abraham is my father, and acording to Jesus christ our faith is the same as his, the faith of Abraham.

You're not on the inquisition block.

You just place more importance on the shadow than on the True Light.

You place more importance on your knowledge and your work at "obedience" instead of the knowledge that is contained in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Work and Obedience.

And you encourage others who would work at the same thing you do.

It doesn't bother me that you do things. I just want others to know that this isn't Christianity. Its a blend. Its double minded.

The next thing is your going to say is "But I don't do it for my salvation"... lol

I think the same thing about you.

I really do.

I just have a different point of view. I see the danger of falling back into works. Because it is the first thing that I tried to do when I was saved.

You are an inward Jew. Circumcised inwardly of the heart. In spirit and Truth.
