A couple other thoughts about sending all the Lethal BDF'ers to an island inhabited only by penguins...
* They'd tell all the penguins they must submit to authority... as they waddle around on the flat, stationary earth, with their flat, little feet.
* NONE of the female penguins would be allowed to speak... or even so much as make a noise.
Can't we send the BDF'ers to another set of creatures that actually DESERVES to be punished...
(You know, like people who talk and text while they're using public toilets...)

Another CC'er calls the BDF the "Bicker and Debate Forum", which seems pretty fitting.

If I may say so...
To me, the big difference between the regular BDF'ers (oh my goodness, that term even SOUNDS like a bad word! LOL!!) who are posting in this thread and the ones to whom this poll is referring to is humility and a willingness to be taught themselves.
We all have strong beliefs and opinions--maybe that's why we all come to a chat site in the first place--so we can share our wealth of knowledge with others!!!
But what I believe sets apart the people posting in this thread from the really hateful ones is that I have also seen these same people apologize to others in the forums and even make jokes at their own expense. And this is just a part of what makes me interested in what they have to say, no matter what the context is.
To me, that's something you never see a "lethal BDF'er" do:
They NEVER say they're sorry.
... And I often wonder if the only crack they'll ever have is the one they sit on, because I most certainly couldn't ever picture them cracking a smile.

I read maybe 10% of the threads on there, and comment on even fewer.
It's got to be either be something I'm genuinely interested in,
or a train-wreck I want to watch out of morbid curiosity.
Once in a while I'll stumble upon a golden nugget of wisdom or insight.
I'm comfortable in my convictions and neither want nor need
to read peoples' dissertations on every controversial doctrine,
or whatever the Holy Spirit "laid on their heart" that day.
It's got to be either be something I'm genuinely interested in,

it's supposed to be a discussion forum which means there will be opposing thoughts which is normal and actually healthy
as I stated in the op though, there are a select few that cannot stand a different thought on anything and if you disagree with them you are apostate and not saved and blah blah blah
I think some of what people state 'the Holy Spirit laid on their heart' is actually God speaking to them but they will not receive it because they are already perfect and don't need any fine tuning. so, they decide they are a 'prophet' and God has called them to edify everyone else
they refuse any correction from scripture that indicates they are wrong and twist it and sometimes to the point of being ridiculous, but they are always serious
any correction has GOT to be for someone else
anyway........

the 'pattern' that The Holy Spirit has put us on, is that we read what The Holy Spirit leads
us to read...no preconceived, personal agenda, just plain old surrendering and following
where we are led to go and to read and to respond when necessary...no stress here,
actually it's very liberating to surrender our thoughts and bring them into the
obedience of Jesus Christ...
this has been one of the most intense learning part of our journey...

it's not my imagination
the BDF is getting worse. it may have been bad, but it's turning wicked
does not matter what subject someone starts a thread on, it is completely ignored, accusations and fighting starts with name calling and insults
what a glorious witness
it's sickening.
guess some will be telling Jesus to get out of their way at the pearly gates.
it's not CC;
CC is just providing a forum for what Jesus' wants to 'teach' so many, not all of course,
(but those whom He is drawing in this particular place and 'end-time-era in Biblical History)...
for those who get it, 'can you feel your separation and election? - and are you able to express it?
if not, has your Love increased?
it is religion, old fangled fake-churches: of course, the 'spellers, false phrophets and the money-mongers.
