Works are required.. because Faith without works is dead..
Nope. Faith is required Why? Because without faith you will not be saved, withour salvation you will not work.

See how you are boasting of your works here. Yet you just yelled at three people for declaring you boasted about your works.

Mere belief will not save anyone.. True faith saved, True faith works, We are not saved by works, we are saved UNTO WORKS. (once again you have it backwards)

Saved by Grace through Faith unto good works.. so no works would indicate no Faith...
No faith, no salvation, those people were condemned because they had no faith, not because they had no works.

A Faithful servant must obey.. was he made a servant by His work.. or did the Master make Him a servant unto good works?
a faithful servant WILL obey. When you add the word MUST, you are preaching legalism. It states you can EARN salvation. You can't. not in this lifetime, not in the next. ALL jave sinned and fall short.

boast of works... my list of good work?
You claim you must earn your salvation by works, This you are claiming your works may or will earn you eternal life.

That is boasting.

Not of works lest anyone should boast.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but by Gods mercy HE SAVED US

is is not dificult.

Only God can decide that.

I am not worthy, No one is. Even paul declared himself unworthy.

If anyone thinks their worthy, They have major issues. One, is they have not been "broken" to the point they have been made "poor in spirit" for one must become "poor in spirit" to enter the kingdom of God.

Now. Go look up the greek word for poor in spirit. Most people miss out what it actually means.. It does not mean just to be poor. it goes far deeper than that.
I do not need a Greek word... save your post toward me.. I take you with a pinch of salt now.. you have shown yourself,

i was called a calvinist before i ever knew what it was for saying i believe i was called out of my prior beliefs before i started seeking God

and called a charasmatic for saying i believe its possible for God to heal someone without the use of medicine

i wont point fingers

but if it dont apply, let it fly

lol

That seems to be the modus opporendi of CC.. And why most can not get along. and many will never understand what others believe, they have them all in categories.

Amazingly, the two men who liked you post are the biggest offenders of this, but it happens on both sides.

The word dead translated from the Greek in context James 2:17, 20) means inoperative

Universally, destitute of force or power, inactive, inoperative: τῇ ἁμαρτία, unaffected by the desire to sin (cf. Winers Grammar, 210 (199); Buttmann, § 133, 12), Romans 6:11; of things: ἁμαρτία, Romans 7:8; πίστις, James 2:17, 20 (R G), 26; ἔργα, powerless and fruitless (see ἔργον, 3, p. 248b bottom), Hebrews 6:1; Hebrews 9:14. (Cf. θνητός, at the end)

A faith that does not have works is ineffective because it does not bear witness to others which is the whole purpose of James

writing to the Jewish believers who were learning about how to live knowing that had been justified by faith in Christ.

I quoted Scripture reference as well, obviously you dismiss this so you can conveniently misrepresent while attempting to draw a dark picture? Yes, that would be a proper description.

Yes, I did allude to a book that describes you and your tribe, written by a godly man John Bunyan. Have you read it?

His allegory rings true today - there will always be grace killers such as yourself who despise others and talk about themselves while attempting to derail those on the true path onto a path of works and self.

Your long diatribe and definitions list &c is unneeded so it has been snipped off. All it does is show that perseverance of faith is true, that OSAS is true, that God will perform His good work in all His converted to the end. Yet, all you can see in that is you which is remarkable and sad to witness. We all get what "through" means. To you "through" means something different; it means you're saved by what you do - we get it. Thus you really don't know what the word even means.

Fact: Rarely, if ever, do you glory in what Christ has wrought.

Your entire M.O. is to show contempt for others, name call, ridicule, sow discord, cause division, attempt to get others off the right path, and imply that you are of good works, and that others are lost.
I'm sorry, was I supposed to get offended & mad at you now?

I never was good at acting.....always missed my cue.;)

You go on ahead with all your ranting & reveling.

It seems you know where the tools are at in the Devil's workshop, yes?

Reminds me of parable of the master and servants & how one servant did absolutely nothing with what he was given. The master called the servant wicked, lazy & threw him into outer darkness

I've spoken truly of you -- you boast of self perpetually. You've shared the testimony of Self. That you think your heart is a wonder to behold is telltale, you've claimed this, don't deny it. Self. Self. Self.

Others can attest to the fact that what has been stated here concerning you is factual.

I challenge you to speak more of Christ than of yourself and of always implying good concerning yourself. A true encounter with Christ will definitely give you a completely different portrait of self than that which you hold at this point in time.
Both you and garee should take the advice in your last paragraph.

How you abuse other Christian's is shameful.
Persons who are sharing God's word.
What are you doing here but gloating about your self righteousness?
Typical for those who believe that GOD is to serve them.
The demonic doctrine that you believe.
More lost than an unbeliever...

Jesus said that those who say they understand are more responsible and more under judgement.
Since YOU say you believe...

Pray to have half of the spirit of God that the one you undermine has.
Pray to learn the truth.

Fine then, Go on thinking what you believe. someone who does not desire to see the riches of Go word.

The greek word means bankrupt. One who does snot become spiritually bankrupt will not enter the kingdom of God.

anyone who thinks they are or can be worthy has not become spiritually bankrupt

The tax collector was bankrupt. as Jesus said, he went home justified.

All I have shown is I disagree with you and why. But hey, I guess you just showed yourself.

...unless you stop believing in a willful return to sin. Hebrews 10 makes this very clear:

"10By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another;and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THEFURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” 31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

(Hebrews 10:10,23-31 NASB)
That's the correct word of God, that cannot be changed, bro.

Boasting of the flesh...
Commending others isn't boasting in the flesh. But maybe you think that is what Paul did in Romans 16. I mean, when others boast of you and your flesh, you are not only willing to receive it, you make posts about yourself in the same manner.

Likening a "like" to aiding and abetting robbery and murder is not apt at all.
I agree...we can "like" a post that someone does and still not agree with other posts they do. This doesn't mean that we can now publicly assault them because of some other belief they have.

Sometimes in one post we can "like" certain aspects of it but not agree with it all too. We can also agree with the truth in the post but not in the "way" it was used to attack another believer in Christ.

Don't judge yourself worthy... run the race and see...
The Bible does make it clear that we are to work in order to confirm that we are among the called and chosen. But my experience over many years has shown me that very, very few Christians know about the passages that command us to do this. And when they do see them, they can only understand 'works' in one way, as trying to earn your salvation. It's very disturbing that so many people in the church can only understand works that way.

They could try in greek when the plain and simple engilsh does not suit them.
Nothing will help a person that does not have the spirit of God.

When one has the spirit of God it is visible to all.

It seem laziness is encouraged nowadays while the lord expects his people to work
