I believe Jesus knew what He was talking about when he told His apostles that one of them was not clean. Asking if others believe what Jesus is recorded as saying does serve a purpose, but it seems some do not like it. My guess is they do not like being asked because it exposes their lack of belief in the Truth of God's Word.

Stop being so so high minded you and I were filthy sinners without Faith in the Messiah. By the Grace of GOD and nothing else..

GOD knows all things indeed..

but all condemned and only believing in the Son of GOD can save us.

If if you think you betrayed not the Messiah then you are mistaken..

He was on the cross for your sin as much of the rest of us....

If not then we are dead In our sin.

Judas Repented himself and took the money back.. He came to believe.
You make a lot of assumptions and add things that have nothing to do with the discussion but your own bad attitude. I suppose you would also say that anyone who commits suicide has repented of their unbelief. You can see what a ridiculous stance you would hold to say suicide equals repentance unto belief, but that is what you say amounts to. Jesus knew the heart of Judas. You assume to but do not. Jesus said Judas was doomed to destruction. Judas was lost to Jesus. Judas was unclean, unlike the other eleven apostles. Jesus said so but you do not believe what Scripture says. "None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled."

I believe scripture and he must of believed differently to what he believed when he betrayed the Messiah.. because he took the money back... and hung himself.... he knew he betrayed Innocent blood....

The Scripture said those things Magneta.. not me... yes the same Scriptures that declares what you share... but someone had to play that part for Scripture to be fulfilled...

And I have never equated suicide to repenting of unbelief... we are reading what Scripture tells us about Judas...

We are both guilty of assumptions it would seem....

The part of Judas was doomed to destruction. Jesus said it, I believe it. Jesus said He lost Judas before Judas committed suicide, and God knows the end from the beginning. Judas was unclean. Taking the money back and hanging himself says nothing of coming to belief. You add that part. Perhaps you need to look up the term "son of perdition." It has a very strong meaning which you seem to overlook completely.

You have repeatedly equated the suicide of Judas with his coming to belief, and now you deny it? Go back and read what you have said. I have assumed nothing.

I added no part... it is showing us this through His action and word... Judas was destroyed by suicide but not before he repented himself.. and returned the money etc...

GOD knew I was unclean and needed cleansing through belief.... but that does not mean I did not come to realise the Jews did not kill the Messiah... no we all did because we sinned... and His blood must cover them.

We are taught not to draw back to perdition but to have Faith to the saving of our soul.

No... i equated him repenting himself.. and taking the money back to a change of belief within him... he was prepared for a price to betray but then took the money back...

Scripture was fulfilled and Judas had that part.

Do you believe Judas was saved? A simple yes or no will suffice.

He then killed himself so it was all part of the change of belief.. from not believing to believing.. but I think this is futile.. I have shared my beliefs as have you.. to continue the back and forth is not leading anywhere other than a spectacle.. So i bid you Farewell Magneta.

im sure we shall converse elsewhere.

It was leading somewhere, because many here claim that Judas was saved when there is no evidence for it, while on the other hand there is much evidence to say he was not. But I understand your backing down at the critical moment. Suicide does not equate to repentance unto belief. If you believe Judas was saved, you ADD that of your own self against all the Scriptures that point to a different conclusion, line by line, precept upon precept.

I just saw this after my bid of farewell.. but will acknowledge real quick...

The Scripture does not declare he was saved so after the act of repentance I can not declare. He was lost to fulfill scripture.. and he certainly did not live long after.

I have not a yes or a no to give.. because someone had to betray the Messiah for scripture to be fulfilled.

You are relentless... He goes from to profit from betraying the Messiah.. to repenting himself returns the money and takes his own life... change of belief... if I ever I see one...

One minute you say one thing and the next you deny it and then again repeat it and yet again deny it. It is worth noting.

I believe he went from unbelief to belief... only GOD knows if he was saved... so this is the last. It is not a matter of urgency to debate sooo much..

peace to magneta.

Some of the arguments here are just putting one idea in the wrong clothes.

Now how are we the Children of the Most High, not called to walk in His ways and do His will,
with the tools and power He has provided. He is one of the most demanding of Kings, whose
principles and ideas are eternal and cannot be opposed. Judgement is coming against those who
stand against Him, either in private or publically, by the sin they refuse to repent of, or the
attitude of their hearts and the words and ideas they hold to.
So works are plain, they are the ways of the Kingdom. If you do not know these works, then
you cannot claim to know the King. (False doctrine - False gospel)
Your words: "He is one of the most demanding of Kings," You present and teach a different God than what the bible clearly teaches; Scripture twisters are what give false teachers sandy ground to build their false religions and divided the Church.

Jesus is our King and He say's this: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew11:29.

God is not a harsh task master as you are promoting on this public forum.
Read your bible everyone so that you will avoid false gospels like this.
God say's you are; "the apple of His eye" Zechariah 2:8

My bible say's:

1 John 3:1, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God..."

Psalm 139:17,
"How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!"

Psalms 145:8,
"The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy."

Romans 2:4,
"Or despisest thou "the riches of his goodness" and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"

Jeremiah 29:11
, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee..."

Zechariah 2:8, "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye."

Isaiah 62:5, "For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee."

Zephaniah 3:17, "The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

Isaiah 43:25, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."

I think you have a point Meggido. Magenta, I too thought it was satan but its not diabolos in greek..

~G2812
κλέπτης
kleptēs
Thayer Definition:
1) an embezzler, pilferer
1a) the name is transferred to false teachers, who do not care to instruct men, but abuse their confidence for their own gain
Part of Speech: noun masculine
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from G2813

Sounds to me like a hireling...false prophet.
Jesus was talking to the pharisees from John 9.40-John 10.21....Jesus tells them that they and their traditions and false religions and their false prophets are in fact a thief and a hireling....which comes to do nothing but to steal, kill and destroy...

The heart of hirelings and false prophets is the heart of deception which is the heart of Satan...BUT...the thief is not Satan , the thief is false religion, religious traditions and the men that promote them to receive financial gain....Satan uses and empowers his thieves to steal, kill and destroy people...But Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly....

In proper context, the thief is not Satan....now llet me ask something very pivotal....

Are there hirelings that have turned the grace of God in lasciviousness to steal, kill and destroy people?

YES.....there are....

Exactly, it is a PERSON, not religion. The following is from John chapter ten:

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Maybe the blind will see it now :)
No you love being blind...by your pride...
