According to scripture the first day of the year is thirteen days prior to Passover, being the fourteenth day of the first month. Passover falls within March or April, depending on the “new moon” and the ripening of barley. By the year 1752 January 1st finally became New Years day according to the calendar we use today.
Eight days after the yearly reincarnation (rebirth) of Nimrod/Tammuz (same person), his circumcision was celebrated, according to “Ashtaroth/Semiramis,” both being Tammuz/Nimrod’s mother and wife, Queen of Heaven." Ashtaroth gave birth to Nimrod, and then married him also.
The eighth day after this annual reincarnation is January 1st according to the Gregorian calendar. According to Ashtaroth (Mother Earth), Tammuz dies every year just before winter begins. As I understand it, “groundhogs day” celebrates this anticipation of reincarnation in the spring, but obviously this was long before the Gregorian calendar existed. Gregory’s calendar was introduced in 1582, his main purpose was to change the date of Ashtaroth/Ishtar, i.e. Easter, but that’s a different story that I care to not introduce at this time.
“All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.” (Joshua 13:12)
“Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.” (Ezekiel 8:14)
Any other things concerning times, seasons and moons of Pagan practices that we might not be aware of, please share, comparing it with scripture, in order for all of us to know what scripture says in relation to our own religious celebrations that we observe annually. Blessings to you all.
