I want to put this out there to counter the lies being propagated by others upon those who believe in the imputed righteousness of Christ, eternal security, and that all stages of salvation are already complete in us who are trusting in Christ alone, though these are not yet realized fully, i.e. glorification.
1) We do not believe that since we trust Christ we do nothing as we are falsely accused.
2) We do not love sin, want to sin, or look to find an excuse to sin, as we are falsely accused.
3) We do not shun good works nor do we believe them not to be a part of a true converts walk, as falsely accused as if we do no good works whatsoever. We simply know they add nothing nor gain a thing in our salvation.
4) We do believe in evidence of conversion that stems from sanctification.
Let me put this simply.
If you are washed clean, there is not dirt on you, you are clean.
Yet you still need someone elses cleanliness to be taken into account because
yours in not good enough.
So the cleansing you have received is faulty and still dirt remains.
But if the cleansing is false and needs to be improved, as it does not deliver
cleansing and is not acceptable.
So whatever your defence, it is clear you are in unbelief and do not think Christ
has done enough to make you righteous, you still need His righteousness to be
taken.
I hope you see you are taking doube the portion, one is not enough.
When Jesus said to those he healed, "Your sins are forgiven" do you think at that
point they were not forgiven, and He was lying?
He warned them to sin no more, which implies they were clean, pure, holy, undefiled,
but they were capable of defiling themselves again.
Now let this sink in. Jesus cleans those who believe Him. They can be defiled again
if they sin again, it is a choice.
These two principles you deny.
It is hidden in your substitution of us by Christ in everything theology.
But it just hides unbelief, not believing Christ has done enough to cleanse us.
Ironic the very crime you accuse me of, you are guilty of yourself. The enemy is always good
at this deception, so many fall for it, but in the court of the Lord it makes you empty and
powerless.
