Well I opened up to my family about the bulimia. I was scared to but I asked them for prayer. I hope and pray that I receive healing.

I am really embarrassed for telling them...but I felt like I needed to. I need their support.

I feel like this time things will be different. The nutritionist said Keto would do me good and my urges to binge should go away. I haven't binged and purged in 5 days!

It's weird b/c I didn't even know I had bulimia. I'm not exactly a size 2 lol. But the doctor explained to me what bulimia was and when I told him what I did, he knew I suffered from it.

Keep me in your prayers ya'll, it's gonna be a long road for me.

Oh Molly, don't worry so much about your weight. You're beautiful and you're pretty. If I was still a young man and we knew each other I'd ask you out.

I'm not going to argue with the doc about the keto diet, but i think it might be a good idea to add some non-sugary snacks as a substitute for the sugary ones that you'll be avoiding. That's what they did in that study and the kids lost 22% liver fat in 9 days even though they didn't lose any physical weight (but they were eating stuff that was still full of calories, just didnt have added sugar in them - the doctors didn't want to change their calorie intake numbers). But its up to you of course. I'll pray for you.

I will pray for you. You did a brave thing sharing this here and with your family. You should be proud of yourself. It sounds like you are blessed by having a good and wise doctor.

Take care and try to enjoy life the best you can. And you are beautiful both inwardly and outwardly! (although I wouldn't like to date you ;-) )

God bless you for being so open and honest to us. Maybe we can help be some of your accountability partners.

Do you mind if someone PMs you about this?

Addictions hold their power in secrecy (yes, Bulimia could be considered an addictive behavior). This was a good first step to kicking the habit.

Thank ya'll for the support. I don't mind PMs for accountability. That's why I had to tell my family. I needed them to hold me accountable. :)

Zt, it's not just the weight that bothers me. What bothers me more is my eating habits. I don't know if you know what bulimics usually do. For me, I would binge on sugary foods and then have to purge it. It was bad. I would use a toothbrush and my throat was always in pain. Honestly, it still kinda hurts. But it's getting better. I started when I was 14 and then I stopped within a few months. I did it again for about a year or two in my early 20s. Then about a year ago, I started again. This third time it's been worse and more frequent than the other two. I knew I needed help.

This is what I've been working on for the last couple weeks.

https://app.box.com/s/j68dzaveuzefpylgmy1gaxwzpxvn838x

Please don't judge the vocal too harshly... it was made late at night with a laptop microphone and a voice that had too much egg nog today (non-alcoholic, but dairy does bad things to my sinuses.) But I recorded off a quick vocal to play against the instruments and give an idea where you are in the song.

All the instruments are actually virtual, "instrument" plugins that I loaded in my computer and "played" through a MIDI keyboard.

EDIT: I should mention this is not my original song. Carl Cartee recorded this song long ago. I just made a soundtrack for it so I can sing it at church.

Did you recreate all the tracks from the original song? That must have taken so mich time! It sounds great!! You sound great. And you just introduced me to my new favourite song. I had to look it up and thankfully it’s in Spotify. I love love the message of this song. I wanna play this in my funeral if I don’t get raptured before then haha.

I had a nice dream. In my bedroom was my old korg keyboard 88 keys (somehow my room was so big in my dream), my bed and another 88 key digital piano. I was playing each alternately and I noticed my korg one was a lot softer for my fingers. I was trying to look for any differences in the way they sound and I was really having fun because it felt so real and I liked playing. Then I wondered why I had to sell my old one and felt sad.

Sorry that was rather random. I just wanted to write it somewhere.

Hi Abigail,

I hope you don't mind this but I would like to encourage you sincerely in Christ.

Other people's reactions and perceptions of you are NOT who you are and I am sorry you had to deal with such a stressful situation.

As you continue to be gracious and kind to your colleague, I am sure you recognize that when people lash out at others it speaks more about them than it does about you.

I hope she recognizes her behavior was wrong but in case there's ever a next time, (which I hope not), you can tune her out. Don't let the enemy paint a picture of you that is not true.

Be blessed and in the love of Jesus. :)

Someone, from work, hates me. Like, really really hates me. It's been 4 years and she still screams at me and I'm afraid sometimes my words provoke her (sometimes intentionally, I admit -_-) like today and she's shaking in anger when I spoke to her about a case she repeatedly messes up.

She happened to be my senior, but I got promoted before her and now I'm supposedly higher in rank when it comes to making decisions (I mean if it's just the two of us). She doesn't take my instruction and she just flat out told me "I don't care, I don't wanna know and I don't wanna talk to you."

Sigh. Some people are just too complicated for me. I give up.

I have surrendered her to Jesus, I’ll just keep swimming in the oceans of grace. I did pray she gets a better paying job at another company! That would be great.

Yes, I learned about bulimia in a college nutrition course. I know that binging and purging is what defines it and that its often, but not always, combined with anorexia and that it can destroy your teeth and damage your throat. :( I am really glad you are getting help and that you are getting better. :)

Sorry, Zt brother, I didn't mean to lecture you or anything. I just wasn't sure if you knew. My aunt and brother didn't know exactly what bulimia entails. I had to explain it to them. :)

Abing, I'm sorry you're going through that. When she's around, start praying. Say Jesus' name. There is power in his name. I hope it gets better, sister!

Y'all check this video out. The husband is literally the worst. God bless this lady and her little girl.

Calling all computer geniuses...my MacBook Pro is slowing down. Why is that? Could it be that it's old 2010...or that I have too much stuff on it?:confused::confused:

I have bad news for you.

I don't think computer geniuses use Apple computers.
