At our best, we still miss the mark.

Romans 3:23-27 (CSBBible)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] God presented him as an atoning sacrifice in his blood, received through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be righteous and declare righteous the one who has faith in Jesus.
[SUP]27[/SUP] Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By one of works? No, on the contrary, by a law of faith.

Do you think Paul was seducing us with..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)
Believe it.

1 John 1:8-10 (CSBBible)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] If we say, "We have no sin," we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] If we say, "We have not sinned," we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Galatians 5:4 (CSBBible)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.

Romans 3:12 (NCV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] All have turned away. Together, everyone has become useless. There is no one who does anything good; there is not even one.“

Romans 7:18 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

It looks to me like you never crucified the "old" you. (Rom 6:3-6)
The result of faith in those verses yields..."For he that is dead is freed from sin."

You give us reason to doubt if you ever let the Holy Spirit birth the new you.

The worst liars are the working for? ... rephrase that to working because of.. and if any be lying GOD will deal with them accordingly.

Any here who be bold with GOD’s Word with evil and malice intent will not escape unoticed.

Let us state our Faith in Christ without the slander and despise.. it will get heated as we contend.. but the loudest and meanest will never equate to the Love and Truth.. for it is not of the Holy Spirit.

I don’t doubt because the belief and desire to do good through Faith in Christ and the love is shining..

I new thought
Do you think the sanctuary (revealed in old testament) was symbolic or a typology of salvation and is there a sanctuary in Heaven?

If our love for GOD and His Son separate us from those that say they are Christians too with a different belief then each continue in their Faith and let the Lord separate us in good time.. but I really would not advise anyone to teach against Keeping the Commandments.. it puts you in direct opposition of GOD and His Son’s Testament. Be not guilty of that for your own sakes.

Paul would despair to think his writings were being used to preach disobedience to GOD.

Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Joh 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

"for without me ye can do nothing".
All the works we do are a result of abiding in Christ, a result of Christ working in us. No glory to us, but the works are a witness of our relationship with Christ.
No works = no connection with Jesus.
1Jn_4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

With Jesus and by Jesus we will overcome.

If peace and safety and so called love, calls us to disobey God, we have to choose between Man and God. God is Love and peace and safety greater then this world can ever know, so i choose to obey God rather than mans ways.

Galatians 3

1O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it beyet in vain. 5He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Here we learn that believers who had received the spirit through Faith were now being deceived by those under the law to be circumcised and partake in the Old Covenant.. Paul is stating that someone is bewitching them and they are not obeying the Truth..

So will the outward circumcision work change you inwardly? No.

Will believing in the Messiah change you inwardly? Yes.. GOD grants those that believe in His Son a New Holy Spirit. By GOD’s Grace and mercy you will be made alive through Faith to Love GOD and each other.. you will be set free under Grace to Obey Christ.. yet you won’t be burdened for the Love shed abroad within you will move you... you continue to obey the Truth and the Power of GOD keeps you because you believed. That belief grows as in grow in Grace and knowledge of Christ.. your new seed is watered by the words of the Messiah.. if you depart from the Faith and start believing that you have to be under the law to please GOD then yes.. you will have fallen from Grace.. you become an unbeliever.. which is worse now for you.

Now Faith that worketh by love really starts because GOD loved us First in an absolute act of love through offering His Son as our sacrifice.. when you think of all the evil goings on of people offering their children to pass through the fire.. GOD went above and beyond because He is above all things.. a True and Righteous GOD to be feared.. and that fear cast out and Love appears.. yes that is through Faith in Christ alone.. but that Faith would be dead if it had not the works instructed by the Lord Himself for us.. we are being guided and lead to the narrow gate and all I can say is believe the Lord’s Testament.. have not doubt or reach for a verse to understand.. no.. believe and obey the Truth.. and live by Faith.

Decon brother ignore the man . He is a tad on the passive aggressive side . He attacks and when he crosses the line he fabricates a excuse that makes himself out to be a victim. That behavior among others he has shown here are plain toxic, and can only poison any conversation he seeks to engage in . I suggest we pray for this man . Trying to have a conversation with PJ is just pearls offered to swine .
Blessings
Bill
What I really appreciate, and I want to thank you for, is your decision to be so open.

I wonder which pearls you feel I am trampling on, and how I am attacking people?

Let us look at scripture.
And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
2 Thess 3:13

So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us.
3 John 1:10

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.
James 4:13-16

Now our standing before the Lord is merely as servants, His children, all equal and worthy
of His grace, which He lavishes on us.

Now please tell me my friends, where is my evil, wickedness etc. that you so want to say
I am full of. If I am following Jesus and His word, what is your argument?

Or are you really the condemner whose nature is to find fault and undermine, and destroy
the people of God, yet he becomes an instrument of God to help refine their love for one
another and to bring glory to Christ our Saviour. For nothing can separate us from the love
of God if we follow Him. Halleluyah.

Whether they Verbally insult us Veterans, or INSULT US By taking an knee during the playing of the National Anthem, it is the SAME sickening kind of disrespect Veterans got coming home during the Vietnam Era, many were even spit on. No difference at all. I was lucky our plane landed at 1:00 AM, and the Stewardess told us, "You are lucky, the Protesters already went home." My Dad was a Mechine Gunner in WWII, in the Thick of it crossing the Rhine. My Grandfather was in the Navy in WWI. I am proud to have served in the USAF for four years. FOR GOD AND COUNTY.
Is the hatred of haters worse than the haters themselves?

Racism? If you hate racism so bad, with anger, bitterness and resentment, you see it
everywhere.

If you hate persecution of groups, or a label, so you must thrust it infront of others to
provoke a response, you see it everywhere.

Veteran dishonour.

It is a sensitive subject, and I in no way dishonour people who serve their country and
die or risk their lives to honour the service. God is over all, and brings honour to faithful
men and women as they do their duty.

One thing one learns from war, is it is pointless. It is defeat for both societies and often
leaves both groups in a worse state afterwards than when they started.
But it is inevitable, if one group decides to impose their will on another group.

Think of the Berlin wall, and how many died crossing it. Yet it fell because of economics
and now we have peace and a community working together.

So my friends, you are hurt and disappointed, but you need to exercise forgiveness to others
if you wish to be free from this antagonism.

Come Nov 11 I will honour the dead of the wars, and the fallen, and praise God for the men
and women who serve and have served to bring peace and maintain order, from the lawless
and the evil of this world. Amen.

You give us reason to doubt if you ever let the Holy Spirit birth the new you.
vco - you share a conviction of the heart which is true.

Yet the words you are speaking are so judgemental. Walking in righteousness and holiness is
our inheritence. It is why Jesus came from heaven to earth to show us the way.

It is why the transformation of peoples lives is the testimony to God working in the hearts of
people on earth.

Somewhere along the line, this transformation and walk has become evil in your mind.
It is this that brings confusion and disobedience as a mark of honour.

I never thought I would read a believer saying their daily sinful behaviour proves how honest
they are, rather than how rebellious they are and unrepentant ( another member, not you )

Sin destroys people and peoples lives. It is not passive but brings death into the world.
We are Gods people, called to dwell with Him, and walk in love. And this love fulfills the law.

That is the gospel and the Kingdom Christ brought to earth, Amen, Halleluyah.

We are called to live a Holy life, in everything to be Holy. It cannot get more plainer than this.

here we go again, Another deciever and slanderer. When will you people stop with this nonsense? No one here it teaching it is ok to sin, Well except for the legalists who excuse their own sin while judging others of their sin.
Now eg is speaking his version of nonsense. It is the use of abuse against someone,
without addressing the issues. He is literally the example of saying sin cannot be resolved.

And people are teaching sin cannot be defeated, overcome, and is hypocracy to say we can
walk in the ways of Jesus.

The twisting of simple ideas, into something so aggressive and confrontational as exampled
here is non-christian.

Jesus praised the pharisees for their teaching and following righteousness.
He condemned their hypocracy in not doing what they taught.

eg and his like condemn the righteous and their teaching and call this legalism.

Shame on them, for they are the work of the enemy and do his biding.
Would it be better if people lived lawless lives and yet said they were believers?

In their mind this would be heaven on earth, while in reality would be hell on earth,
where everything was a lie, and all was betrayed yet the image would be everything
was actually ok. This approach is not from God.

Christ purchased us as a Holy people, called to live honourable lives, exalting service
and praise to our King, the Lord Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh, to die upon the
cross and rise again, to show us He has the power to raise us from the dead and
transform us into His Holy righteous people, Amen.

Time for a Psalm and I will share Psalm 25:

25 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 For thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

I don't come in here very often, and here's the reason why: character assassination.
If you notice the above post, the writer is talking specifically about DC.
Now, look below, and see what DC and his partners did with it:

How did we get to this? Why did DC pull the veterans into this when they weren't even mentioned?
One twists the whole thing to slander PeterJens, and another comes in crying "Ban him"!
Again, where did these invisible "others" come from?

Now, we see PeterJens being called a false teacher, a veteran hater, and he needs to be banned. Just because he called the owner of the thread out.
Character assassination, plain and simple.
This seems to be a habit in this thread. Someone needs to notice the abuse of power in this thread, and the lack of discipline to keep it decent and in order.
If anyone's dissing the veterans, it's those that are using them as a ploy to bash a fellow CC member for their pleasure.
I'm out of my element here, but something needed to be said.
And you could of just passed it over without carrying it on further. Something about covering with your love comes to mind.

Same as I just did to you. Carrying the issue on by making your remarks.

No, EG is not saying any of those things.

What we all are saying is to worship Jesus and simply walk with Him. Acknowledge that He is God and we are not. That He is Saviour, and we are in need of His salvation to go on in our life, as long as we live in this body. That our very own soul can betray us by habits and thinking of the old man that we continually are tripped up by when we get our eyes off of Jesus.

That no OT saint ever had a relationship with God our Father until Jesus for they stood in congregated gatherings to hear the laws and would state, yes we will obey.

That is not the body of Jesus Christ today. And that is what you all who say we must fiollow Jewish laws are trying to put on the saints who now have the privilege to walk in fellowship with Him. The Jews never had what we have.

Only Moses spoke with God this way, and he had to wear a veil to hide the glory. Now we have that very glory of God inside and it shines when we know the truth.

Nothing that being under law can bring. That is what we have! The very law, the walking Torah Himself, the Word has given us Himself to be part of Himself. His body!

When we fully get this, then we will walk as He walked, and live, move, have our very being as He directs!

We are guarding the true gospel from the brethren that Paul called false with everything we have!
The problem here is we all believe we are doing that... yet so many differences.. and only GOD knows which of the We relay His Truth.

We contend for the Faith but when the differences equate to hate and unkindness we all must examine ourselves before GOD in Christ.

Now the message in Revelation was to 7 Churches... and each a different yet similar warning. If we all declare we are of Christ then we take heed.

Is it not time to reason in love and Truth together for the glory of GOD and our Lord and Saviour? I think so.

But we all have to go individually and ask GOD through Faith in Christ our Lord for the Truth.

Now all here or most say Jesus is GOD and many make salvation binding upon that.. so by that token you will say that the Commandments of GOD are taught with Justice Mercy and Faith the important matters of the law...

New Testament by the same GOD that said He would show mercy to those that Love and Keep His Commandments.. the same GOD speaks to us through First Moses.. and we know they needed a veil.. then through His Beloved Son our Lord and Saviour.

Psalm 40:

40
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.
10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

If Love and obedience divides us then sad is the day indeed.
