Amen! These many people (unbelievers) in Matthew 7:22 had the wrong foundation. They were trusting in their works to save them and NOT IN CHRIST ALONE. Jesus NEVER knew them which means they were NEVER saved. Their hearts were not right with God, so their attempted external obedience was stained with sin.

*Seeking salvation by works is not the will of the Father (John 28-29; 6:40).

John 17:3 - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him, not merely theoretical knowledge. These many people were not true converts.

Without faith it's impossible to please God and are workers of iniquity no matter how many "alleged" wonderful works that these many people in Matthew 7:22 set out to conjure up through the flesh. This is why Jesus referred to these unbelievers as WORKERS OF INIQUITY/PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS! These self righteous, unbelievers remain in their sin.
Don't you agree that daily or weekly repentances are "works"?

It's not about "what works" or "how many works" does it take to have a saving relationship with Christ. It's about works which are produced "out of" faith "from a saving relationship with Christ."
Like...resisting temptation?

Well it is , it`s different from transgressing...Iniquity is planned, then acted out with no remorse, the conscience becomes harden to turn back to God and repent...I believe iniquity is like a 3rd stage of sin if that makes sense ...When we sin, our conscience normally would tell us straight away that we have sinned against the Lord, so we turn to God and confess our wrong doing, and we are forgiving and washed clean in the living water, transgressing Ii think is the next step where people will climb over a fence that clearly says DO NOT CLIMB, but we climb anyway, and then once we climbed we are troubled so much that we can not help but turn back to God for cleansing and never to climb that fence again...

But iniquity I believe is the 3rd stage, where one and two have no effect on our mind, we do not take notice of God calling us back through His chastening, we ignore to the point we are now living in our own will, God has left us to ourselves, our hearts started with pebbles and then ended up as stone, it`s a terrible place to be, how can one turn back from that, I dont know, I would hate to think I would ever be in such a place, but it happens :( , forgetting our first Love...xox...
Sin is sin. There are no stages of disobedience to God.

As mentioned earlier; The disciples can meet everyday it is great but where in God's Word does it say in God's Word that God's 4th commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? Fact is that there is no scriptures for this.

Who do we believe God or man? It is s fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. He we forgive all that seek him in repentance and ask his forgiveness. Known Sin will keep you out of God's Kingdom.

It is not about worshiping God on any day. It is about following him who loves all by faith that works by love.
Hey, listen, you PLAINLY said we are breaking God's command to worship on Sunday, so I would like to see the verses that proclaim Sunday worship to be a sin/breaking a commandment. If there are none, simply admit you were wrong and we can move on.

Yet you deny God by breaking the commandments of God to follow the traditions and teachings of man that break the commandments of God? Jesus says If we knowingly follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9). Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that breaks the commandments of God. Faith that works by love is indeed the victory that overcomes the world (Eph 2:8; Romans 13:8-10). However if our faith does not have the fruit of obedience we are still in our sins.

Who should we believe God or man? Who should we follow the word of God or the traditions of men?
I have never seen a verse that prohibits/commands against Sunday worship. Please provide them so we can verify what you say. There are those that tell us to rejoice and give praise continually, which would by necessity include Sundays. You need not show us those :)

Do you deny that Jesus conquered sin while in the flesh?
Jesus was God made flesh,he was not a man that was exactly like us to give such an insinuation is ridiculous,Jesus was the only man who man and God,so therefore did not sin, quite a difference, even though we abide in christ,we are not made the same as him,we are set free from the constant influence of sin through him, this means through him we can resist sin and even some sins no longer do at all,but not all sins can we even perceive during a day,for example, some of the most common yet not so easily perceived sins are being prideful or hurtful towards, sure a person can say"well I don't do either of those" but think on it have you said an insult(not necessarily ar curse word)to someone or drawn attention to yourself instead of God during a day?
noone here is insisting for anyone to sin but rather telling the truth that noone, not you,not me,not any man, woman,or child on earth is perfect,it is God/Jesus that is perfect not anyone of us on even this entire Christian chat site,it's the cold hard truth.

Gradual sanctification is another false doctrine developed by those insinuating sin into the body of Christ.
You are completely sanctified when the blood of Christ is applied to your body...while you hang on the cross with Jesus.

I don't remember hanging on the cross with Jesus. When dying on the cross Jesus died alone. Even his father turned his back on him. Dying on the cross is not a group activity. Only Jesus was qualified to die on the cross for our sins because He was without sin. You weren't there and neither was I. How arrogant.

Belief is acted on, and evidenced through faith, which produces good works, which shines a light into the darkness of this world, in a way that glorifies God, at times through confession of sin, rather than hiding them as those who walk in darkness do, because they know their deeds are evil, and they do not wish to be found out.
Right-on, right-on, right-on!
I think you've got it.
But I'm sure you know...if the "actions" are unGodly, (worthy of confession)...doesn't that mean the faith is corrupt?
If it isn't producing "good works", it isn't faith or belief.

Hey, listen, you PLAINLY said we are breaking God's command to worship on Sunday, so I would like to see the verses that proclaim Sunday worship to be a sin/breaking a commandment. If there are none, simply admit you were wrong and we can move on.
Then your misunderstanding was clarified in post # 43689 with;

It is not about worshiping God on any day. It is about following him who loves all by faith that works by love.

Jesus tells us that if any are following the traditions of man that BREAK THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD they are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9). It is the breaking of God's commandments that is the problem.

If you wish to follow the traditions of man, and your not breaking the commandments of God (Ex 20:8-11) then everything is ok and there is nothing to worry about for you. If your tradition however leads you to SIN by breaking God's commandments (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20) then you stand guilty before God and are still in your sins........................

If anyone is living a life of known unrepentant sin are they in a saved state or an unsaved state before God....................

Hebrews 10

26, For IF WE SIN WILLFULLY AFTER WE HAVE RECEIVED A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, THERE REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS, 27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Acts 17
30, IN TIMES OF IGNORANCE GOD WINKS AT; BUT NOW COMMANDS ALL MEN EVERYWHERE TO REPENT:
31, Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of men the that has deceived many to forsake the 4th commandment. It is forsaking God's Word to follow the traditions of men that lead to breaking God's commandments leading to SIN that is the problem.

Who do we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Word of God or the teachings and traditions of man?

You knew exactly what I was talking about but tried to twist what I was saying to mean something I was not.

Who do we believe the traditions and teaching of man or the Word of God?

Only God's Word is true.

Every time he posts he posts something false...just like denying the dual usage of sanctification....Positionally in Christ spiritually and daily in our physical lives dia the transformation of the mind by the word....

ONLY a false teacher that claims to be sinless would deny the process of growth and sanctification in our daily lives as evidenced by the bible AND all the scriptures that prove it....there are only three people on this site that I have blocked because of their incessant lies, deceit and rejection of truth.....he is 1 of 3.......

Only Jesus could bear the cross that he bore.......it was his and his alone...thankfully he nailed the handwriting of ordinances that were against us to it and bore our sins upon that tree.......

AND then PJW comes back to trying in vain to set you up the very way
ALL FALSE PROPHETS TRAIN THEIR PROSELYTES.

PJW said, "Do you deny that Jesus conquered sin while in the flesh? " A trained auto response to set you up to hit you, where they think you will have to agree with their false doctrine. Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons do the same thing; but when you ask a question that they do not have a trained auto response for, they are trained to just ignore the question. Amazing how alike the various psuedo-christian Cults really are.

Romans 8:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
.
Hi VCO, I do not read any of PJW post's. When you are 63yrs of age and entrenched into a heretical cult as he is the only hope he has now is for God to show him the way. At this point I believe he is worse than someone who reject's the Gospel message because he has the bible right in front of him; his sinless perfection will not save him on judgment day.

And I agree with you, what does it benefit anyone to converse with a cultist when all they are doing is telling lies.

Thanks VCO for your message, God bless.

News flash everyone, "Sinless Perfection" is a counterfeit gospel = a counterfeit christ

The Lord states those that work iniquity will be told to depart..

What is iniquity?

I obviously have my beliefs but would like to hear what others think this refers to.

we know this type called Him Lord and did marvellous things in His name.. what then is their iniquity that means they are told to depart.

interested to see what others believe.

Thank you.
Iniquity is practicing sins.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Many will say to Jesus, why can't we dwell with you,and He will say they did not do the Father's will, which they were workers of iniquity.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They have a form of godliness, but deny the Spirit to lead them, and never able to come to the truth that it is the Father's will for them to abstain from sin by the Spirit, but they thought they were alright despite their sins.

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

The last generation before God puts down the world, that will have an attitude that is worse then any other generation before it,where the children will not want to obey parents, and aggressive towards each other, and highly selfish, and arrogant, and will heap money to exalt themselves and not care about the poor and needy, even ripping off the very people that made them rich rewarding them with higher prices, lower quality, and less quantity.

One of their attitudes is they will be pure in their own eyes, but not washed from their filthiness, and there are many who claim Christ that think they are right with God,but are not.

Not everyone that says Lord,Lord, will dwell with Jesus, which they thought they were right with Jesus for confessing Him,but their thoughts, and actions, denied Him,which the Bible says, they profess they know God,but in works they deny Him,which are works of iniquity.

Mat 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
Mat 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Mat 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

Many are called, but few are chosen, and some do not get chosen because their heart condition is not right, which happens to people in high positions on earth, like politicians, leaders, and such as regard themselves as something special above the common people, which Jesus said the Gentiles like to have authority above the people.

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

No person can say Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost, and that is to claim Jesus as God,and their authority, who has authority above all principality, and power, and dominion.

That is why many can say Lord,Lord, but not be able to dwell with Jesus, because they have been called, for their heart condition was right to be called, but they never came to the truth to be able to walk through the door.

For many are called, but few are chosen.

And when they walk through the door, and embrace truth this is what it is.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

When a person confesses Jesus as Lord this is the seal, they must depart from iniquity.

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

To be right with God we have to abstain from sins, but some people never come to that truth believing they are alright despite their sins, which there is no excuse because we can have the Spirit, but some deny the Spirit because they want to enjoy fleshy pleasures, and then believe they are right with God.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If a person hates sin,and does not want sin,by the Spirit they can abstain from sin, because a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, for they have crucified the flesh with the lusts and affections, and show the ways of the Spirit, which there are no ways of the flesh, and the God will not allow them to be tempted above what they are able, and make a way for them to escape the temptation, that they can bear it,which they will not be tempted as hard as the world, and can escape that temptation.

Therefore there is no excuse why a person that claims Jesus as Lord cannot abstain from sin, because they can have the Spirit, but some want to enjoy sins, and believe they are right with God,but they are workers of iniquity, for they profess they know God,but in works they deny Him,works that are not of the Spirit, but of the flesh.

If "Sinless Perfection" is so heretically bad, why did it take just one sin for Adam to get kicked out of the garden?

Because Adam could not keep ONE RULE,
you certainly are not an example of Sinless Perfection keeping a multitude of rules.
