And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:4
Before there was any sun, moon, stars or heavens there was the heaven, the earth, the deep, waters, and darkness.
As the angels watched God said, Let there be light, and there was light.
In that “God saw the light” is a separate clause, it is implied that angels did not see the light that God did, or comprehend it as he did.
God judged the light good.
Note that he didn’t say it was perfect. The light was good for serving the purpose of God.
When the light appeared it was mixed with darkness. (diffused) So, God separated the light from the darkness. This can be understood as the establishing of the dielectric field that permeates space providing the structure light needs to be well defined and not utterly diffused.
Metaphorically the verse describes the angelic predicament the rebellion of the angels produced in heaven.
Note that God teaches eternal truths that are hidden from creatures by means of rightly dividing things assunder to manifest what is not obvious until divided. This is a common approach in the narrative of creation and forward.
Lucifer thought that he knew all things for he was the sealer of the sum of all that appeared before him.
But without God there is no such thing as enlightenment.
If the eye of man isn’t single as Jesus taught then the whole body law in profound darkness of the worst kind. For although light appears it remains darkness such that man is easily deluded into thinking he can see, when in truth he is blind.
This kind of blindness is what occurred in heaven when the angels began to follow the satanic doctrines of the Devil. And in their professed wisdom they became foolish.
This is why God created man and his lower existence for the benefit of the higher angels to be humble and learn the truth of God. For they also must have faith in the word of God.
Notice that if a man believes God as well as believing man, then the man is full of the worst kind of darkness that Jesus warned of.
The entrance of God’s word giveth light.
It is as the six water pots at Cana were required to be empty and cleansed and then filled to the brim lest something corrupt them, so must also men’s hearts be emptied of the lies of man and devil, and the false words of philosophy, to be able to see rightly.
