Due to circumstances completely within my control (but also absolutely Not under control), it seemed necessary to set my alarm for 4:10 this morning. Thanks to time change shenanigans, and my own procrastination, I lost three hours of sleep that I wouldn’t have gotten anyway. And now it’s 5:30, and I’ve been sitting here with cold coffee and I now have an hour and twenty minutes less to do whatever the heck I woke up so early to do.

The time change messes with me too. Actually, I got up at 4:10 this morning for work. I should've been 3:20 so I lost an hour of sleep in the shuffle. Last November at the switch back to standard time we should have gotten an extra hour but I screwed up the clocks and instead of setting an hour backwards I set the clocks an hour ahead. So instead of getting an extra hour of sleep I loss 2 hours. I'm down with that cold coffee too.

For those who are suffering time change blues... y'all need to move to a great place like Saskatchewan where we don't submit to such solar silliness.

We should just stop the day light savings time. We only been doing it since WWII. Many towns and atleast one state doesn't participate in this insanity.

I agree. I don't care what the clocks are changed to but after doing it don't ever change them again. I think Ben Franklin came up with this crazy scheme. There are those that actually believe that the sun is shining an extra hour. Those are probably the flat earth peeps. Those flat-liners are certainly amusing in their erroneous beliefs.

Yeah, Ben Franklin suggested it, but I don't think he was the first. I know it was implemented during the war to give farmers an extra hour of natural light. When the unconditional surrender was signed on the Missouri, that should have been the end of it.

Time change blues had nada to do with this dark circled bag eyed woman...

It's all my fault. When the lights go out on the kiddo...this momma likes to have grown up time! I decided to stay up with a few friends from CC last night on skype and messenger until it was time to get prepped for church. I've yet to fall into slumber...but I laughed so hard last night I peed my pants several times, my facial muscles froze in a permanent smile, and I used my broken popscicle stick to hold my eyes open easier most of the day! It was soooooooo worth it!

I left work early today and went straight to the clinic. The last few weeks have been very demanding. I have all day classes on weekends, and my new job gave me three projects to work on, on top of my regular scope. I'm just about to crumble and I'm getting really dizzy just typing this.

Times like this gets me thinking, what's the point of all of this? I just want a happy life for me and for the people I love. Jesus is more than able to give me that, I don't know why I'm struggling for something He freely gives.

No wonder scripture tells us to labor into rest. Sometimes, the hardest thing is to rest from all our troubles and cares. Even if we know Jesus has authority over everything and we are co-heirs with Him, sometimes we just can't sit back, relax and be still and know HE is God.

I have another presentation for school this week, and another essay due next weekend. I still have all day classes next weekend and the thought scares me. How can I let go? How can I cast all these cares to Jesus? *sits in a corner and cries

He never will get tired of hearing you pour your heart out to him that's what he is there for. Cause he loves you more then words can describe.
