If it were an American public school I would be VERY careful in disclosing ANY negative information about your child to them. Australian schools I don't know enough about.
Most schools have filtering devices to prevent porn, but I would make your son aware that the school is MUCH more tech savvy than he is, and the consequences could be severe if he is caught there.
This is the age we live in. Children can't have a dozen or so innocent years to be children. They are inundated with worldly lusts at every turn. There is pretty much soft porn on just about every TV channel. ALL roads lead to sexuality online. A simple search like "football" can eventually lead you down that path.
Unfortunately he has now been exposed to harder core porn. It will be VERY difficult to put that genie back in the bottle. The images are in his brain, and he can recall them without actually viewing them again. There is evidence neural pathways can be altered in the brain after a single exposure.
Although deprivation of availability is certainly a tool to help combat this, understand it will NOT be the ultimate answer. But for his terribly young age it IS probably the best course to take.
I am praying the Lord will guide you and cut off this growing monster in your son's life. Be at peace brother.
