Paul obviously disagrees with you. He called the 10 commandments
the ministration of death and condemnation that was to be done away with.
But if the ministration of death written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance, which was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation [be] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious. 2 Corinthians 3:7-11
I think Paul disagrees with your understanding of what the
ministration of death means. WHY? God's LAW is the ministration of death because it
reveals what SIN is and the
wages of SIN is death and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
God's LAW is not death as he says it is Holy, Just and Good. 2COR 3 is about the NEW COVENANT, SIN death penalty and walking in the SPIRIT.
God's LAW is the ministration of death because it points out what SIN is and the wages of SIN is death. God's LAW points out what SIN is and SIN is death not God's LAW.
God's LAW is not death but the ministration (showing) of it.
.................
What then is to be done away with? The ministration of death! That is SIN and the penalty of SIN through FAITH in Christ by walking in the Spirit of God's LAW written on the heart to LOVE through FAITH (Heb 8:10-12; 2Cor 3:2-3) . God's LAW is not done away with it is the death penalty and SIN that is done away through FAITH in God's WORD. God's LAW is Holy just and Good and through the LAW is the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is (Romans 3:20)
This is further explained in Romans 7
.................
ROMANS 7
[6], But now we are delivered from the law, being dead to that in which we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
[7],
What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, you shall not covet.
[8], But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, worked in me all manner of covetousness.
For without the law sin was dead. <Romnas 3:20 God's LAw gives a knowledge of sin>
[9], For I was alive apart from the law once:
but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
[10],
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
[11],
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
[12],
Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
[13], Was then that which is good made death unto me?
God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.
[14],
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
[15], For that which I do I know not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
[16], If then I do that which I would not,
I consent unto the law that it is good.
[17], Now then it is no more I that do it,
but sin that dwells in me.
[18], For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
[19], For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
[20], Now if I do that which I would not, it is no more I that do it,
but sin that dwells in me.
[21],
I find then a law, that, when I would do good,
evil is present with me.
[22], For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
[23],
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to
the law of sin which is in my members.
.................
CONCLUSION: It is God's LAW that gives a knowledge of what SIN is that we might be justified (FORGIVEN) through FAITH and leads us to the foot of the cross to believe on the GIFT of salvation through God's dear son. Those that repent, confess and BELIEVE receive the gift of the Spirit to walk as he walked in love who first loved us (Romans 8).
It says that which was engraven in stone was done away with, ie, the 10 commandments. The Greek word that is translated done away means to nullify the power of. Jesus nullified the power of the law to condemn us by making us dead to the law. Law exerts no authority over dead people.
You are confused if God's LAW was done away with then there is no KNOWLEDGE of SIN if there is no knowledge of SIN there there is NO need of a Saviour if there is no need of a Saviour you are still in your SINS if you are still in your SIN you have NO SALVATION if you have NO SALVATION, you are LOST because the wages of SIN is death!
v11 The scripture is talking about the MINISTRATION of DEATH being done away. That is
the death penalty for SIN being done away not God's LAW. God's LAW points out SIN it makes nothing perfect.
Your understanding of 2 COR 3 disagrees with the rest of the NEW TESTAMENT, the teachings and Jesus and all the Apostles and the Gospel and will keep you out of God's KINGDOM if you live a life of SIN.
Glory to Glory v11 is God's LAW, giving us the KNOWLDGE of SIN. The KNOWLEDGE of SIN leads the sinner (us) to Christ for FORGIVENESS of SIN and DEATH through FAITH. The scripture does not abolish God's LAW it is the death penalty the law puts us under.
................
SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
................
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).
If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).
