Actually most of the above is correct. A person under age 16 can be in the left seat as long as the PIC is in the right seat. It is quite common for someone to celebrate a 16th birthday by making his/her first solo. I know of no "solo licence". A person either has a private or commercial certificate (or ATP). I have flown many GA planes and have never heard of a solo license.

Flying can be one of the high points in a person's life.
It is mine......Fly safely and blue skies always!

Note: Instead of the word "lying", a better word would be misinformed.
What he's calling a solo license, or a student license is the flight medical cetificate one must get. That medical is the stand in for a license. I had to get one when I solo back in the 90s. I didn't have the funds to get past that...... but it is common to call the medical certificate a "solo or student" license.

My bad using the word "license". I knew you had to be 16 in order to solo and mistakenly assumed that a certificate was issued.

A friend of mine in high school spent his 16th doing his first solo and then rushed to the DMV to take his drive test.

more info on this picture here:

https://www.sott.net/article/339352-Spectacular-rare-morning-glory-roll-cloud-photographed-over-Australia

While these invisible waves in the sky occur elsewhere, it's the cloud accompanying it which is so rare.Their distinctive fat sausage shape is due to water vapour rising to form the cloud then evaporating back again to the ground.

"Wave clouds can form anywhere on the continent but they are only called the Morning Glory when they form across the Gulf of Carpentaria, Neil Bennett, a Western Australian spokesman for the Bureau of Meteorology told news.com.au.

Mr Bennett said the wave clouds formed because the air effectively "bounced" around in the sky.

"Wave clouds form in a stable atmosphere where the cloud itself isn't able to develop into a vertical state because it is in the air that is cooler around.

"As it descends, the warming process that naturally occurs causes this bouncing effect of the air and until that is flattened out you get these rolls of cloud that are evenly spaced."

Wave clouds usually form over mountain ranges but weather conditions have to be just right.

In what is amounting to something of a wave cloud season, the rows of white were also seen on the Bureau's satellite over both Tasmania and New Zealand on Wednesday.

On Wednesday the distinctive rippling of the wave cloud could be seen over Tasmania.

Another zombie thread.. :/
No, I'm not a zombie, I'm fairly alert. I just found being too informative on a subject makes you look like a know it all.

Besides, I already have Navy seals in !y house wearing invisibility cloaks. I get poisoned in the air I breathe and our foods have corruption in them. :)Peace!

Funny! The grocery stores that I can shop at, (aren't trying to steal my spiritual gifts) don't have "organic" options. Besides, I'm not sure I trust that word...it ends in "ic". :)

Even organic food has traces of pesticides from other fields. I only buy organic fruit and vegetables if the price is close to non-organic. Trying to stay away from canned food and eat fresh when I can. Processed foods contain preservatives which I'm sure is not very healthy if consumed over a period of years. The processing removes a lot of nutrients also. Fresh produce taste better and is healthier for you. Of course, it does take time to prepare as it doesn't come out of a can. Walmart has a few organic choices. I live in Florida and mostly do my grocery shopping at Publix which is the biggest chain in the state. Very good organic selection there, but again, more costly.

Thank you, I rarely(twice a year) eat meat, but I mostly eat vegies and rice with potatoes and other grains like lentils and barley etc. I try to stay away from large corporations. IGA is where I try to shop, but nearest one is 25 minutes away.

Those trying to steal spiritual things such as garments, birthright etc, take advantage of this and set out bad food at my stores, defeating the whole purpose of vegie diet.

I get very discouraged. The only reason I can even shop at those few stores, is because I got a jump on "them" and asked the owners of the stores if there were any hidden costs to their foods.

I shouldn't complain, but rejoice because God made provision in these stores. God said in the world ye shall have tribulation, but to be of good cheer, be ause He has over come the world!!!!

Years ago, I remember seeing planes flying and leaving trails in the sky that actually formed a grid of little squares. Didn't know what it was then, and I still don't.

How is it possible to "steal ones spiritual gifts"???

By selling you a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter??

I'm not sure I understand how that having well stocked grocery stores nearby counts as 'tribulation'

In Norway we have something called the internet and shops where you can buy ecological rice and lentils online and they bring it to you... I guess we are spared from the great vegan tribulation :p
