Sorry.

Acts 19:40 "I tell you," He said, "if they remain silent, the very stones will cry out."
As it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of what happened today. In that case we would not be able to account for this commotion, since there is no reason for it.” Acts 19:40

Luke 19:40 is about the apostles/disciples being told by the Pharisees to be silent.

Luke 19

[SUP]37 [/SUP]When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
[SUP]38 [/SUP]“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

[SUP]39 [/SUP]Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

[SUP]40[/SUP]“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Women are free to prophesy, just not unto men in the church. Women can teach other women and children as long as they are not preaching unto the man in church. Women can prophesy and spread the gospel outside of the church also. These things are not going against the word of God, however preaching unto a man inside the church is going against the word of God. It is very clearly explained.
Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth was regarding the orderly protocol IN THE CHURCH sir

and his instructions regarding speaking in tongues (though prophesying was better) was to everyone while IN THE CHURCH

so your statement that women could prophecy just not to men in the church is incorrect

These women weren’t preaching They were calling out and asking questions

thats why Paul said they should remain quiet and ask their husbands at home
Where in the BIBLE does it say this is why Paul said what he did ? Can you provide me that verse ?

I don't believe Paul made any mistakes in his clarification. Being guided by and given authority by God I believe he said exactly what he meant to say.

Sure, but even if women are excluded from this crowd, it is a different sort of silent from the 1 Cor example, and so I do wonder what the significance of that difference is.

Paul didn’t make a mistake
You did in your interpreting what he meant

heres the scriptures:

34Women[SUP]f[/SUP] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.[SUP]g[/SUP]

Fine then, we will go with your definition stating a woman cannot prophesy to anyone in the church. So then, what is your argument that they are allowed to preach within the church unto a man ?

I know what the scripture is. Where is the verse stating Paul only said this because the women were shouting and asking questions ? That is what you stated, but can you provide the verse to verify that ? You cannot because that is only your opinion. I am not giving opinions here. I gave you the verses. When she cannot speak, then obviously she cannot preach. Is this really that difficult to figure out ?

Really?
is that what I said?

i said that Paul was addressing everyone and their behavior while IN THE CHURCH

HE does not (unlike you) exclude the woman from prophesying IN THE CHURCH (like you do and have said)

i am not in a agreement with you

read these scriptures:
5I would like every one of you to speak in tongues,[SUP]b[/SUP] but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues,[SUP]c[/SUP] unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

you can follow up with verse 24 as well

when Paul says everyone do you mean to tell me he meant everyone except women?

even after finalizing his letter with therefore brothers and sisters be eager to prophesy

It does seem that the silence women were being exhorted to keep while in the assembly was to show respect for the proceedings, and not be disruptive. That would be while they were part of the congregation, I assume we assume :) Paul mentions some law about women being silent which it seems nobody has been able to identity/find. I do believe Jesus really could raise up stones to praise Him, given that He fashioned man originally from the dust of the ground :) Here is the interlinear for the 1 Cor verse: http://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_corinthians/14-34.htm[SUB][/SUB]

What is it that makes these verses so difficult for you to understand ?

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1 Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church

And still you have not provided the verse substantiating your claim of that Paul said this simply because the women were loudly asking questions. Why do you not offer that verse if it is not only your opinion ?

I am wondering the same thing about you sir

furthermore any time Paul wrote a letter it was as issues arose within the churches. And he wrote to instruct and correct. And here in Corinth the church was not behaving in an orderly manner and were not representing CHRIST before unbelievers in a fitting manner
The women indeed were calling out and men (and woman) were indeed calling out and prophesying in a disorderly msnner

JUST AS 1 Corinthians 14 states

it is why paul instructed them that only two should speak and take turns.

Not so as to prevent them from possibly behaving disorderly but to correct them because they were behaving disorderly

All of your arguments have no merit in discounting what Paul has said and it was not simply for certain churches. All you can offer is your own opinions.

1 Corinthians 4:17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

1TIMOTHY 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

1TIMOTHY 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

1TIMOTHY 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1TIMOTHY 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

The significance was that CHRIST had the right to rebuke the unbelieving Pharisees from preventing those who were glorifying the Lord from crying out

Here Paul as the overseer is obstructing the whole body of believers in the orderly fashion so that the BODY as a whole will bring glory to GOD so that the church would be a truthful witness before unbelievers with the hopes that men would turn to repentance and be reconciled to GOD

The Pharisees had no knowledge of the true work of GOD
Paul did

Thats the difference

Who is Timothy?
who is Paul?
who is Moses?
who is Apollos?
who is Cephas?

if you want to follow Paul make sure you are following Paul as he followed Christ

there's only ONE FOUNDATION sir and that alone is CHRIST

These men were used as tools to bring men (and women) to CHRIST

If Paul was obstructing the "whole body" as you claim, then please tell us why he specifically stated "women are to be silent". If he were in fact obstructing the whole body would it not have been much more appropriate for him also to include men in that statement ? As stated none of your arguments contain any biblical merit. It is all opinion and speculation on your part and the further you attempt to explain away what Paul said, the noticeably further you get from the truth.

Because they were calling out and asking questions of their husbands sir...

again it’s why Paul
said ask your husband AT HOME (but be silent in church)

understand?

should I post the scriptures again?
