People on your friends' list are now your followers. We look like a bunch of stalkers LOL

Hey Magenta, I thought you were on my friends list. Looking just now I guess you aren't. We should be friends. What do you think?

Unfortunately when migrating the sheer volume of information from one platform to another a certain amount will end up dropped. About the only way to have avoided this would have been to have completely shut the site down for several days while the migration was underway and then reopened with the new platform.

On another note, RoboOp just let me know that all new threads (at least for the time being) will go through an approval process.
Upside: trolls won't be able to post 200 threads in BDF in a short time frame when no Admin is logged in.
Downside: if no Admin is logged in it may take a while for a new thread to hit the public page.
Perhaps, for established senior members this requirement can be waived as there are many times that a thread will be created in response to a certain post. I can see how this can be disruptive to the natural flow of the conversations in the threads. Will the member actually be notified if a thread is approved? Does this policy apply to the new chat member introductions? Seems like this will immediately discourage new members as they will not be allowed to introduce themselves in a timely basis.

There doesn't seem a way to cancel a post that you don't want to submit unless you click on something that takes you away from the post that you were going to reply to.

I believe that the peeps that were on the friends list are the now the peeps that you follow. The followers are the ones following you. Does that sound right? I removed a couple of peeps from my follow list but you will remain because you are my friend. Yes, if being a follower is a form of stalking but there is nothing wrong with tracking a peep that you care about.

This changeover is an ongoing process with a lot of adjustments to still be made. Obviously since all of that work is done by RoboOp so it's going to take some time.
