Yea, people are debt crazy now. I know about that. But I was talking about what I would do, not what all guys should do. I am very careful with my moneys..

To the OP Question... When I was married, my ex and I shared a primary bank account and a credit card account. Fortunately, we didn't have problems with money being spent mysteriously, but I would be very cautious about having that arrangement again. It was a pain to undo after the separation.

I would suggest that each have a personal account, and a shared account they both can access. Money for shared bills gets transferred to the joint account and paid from there.

Yes Melita, communication in relationships is what it is all about. I was married twice 16 and 20 years respectively. I always expected, and got, joint accounts because I felt it showed trust. My first wife was a spendthrift and couldn't stand to hold on to money. We made very good money so I eventually opened up a savings account in my name only and hid some money there. It didn't hurt us any. When she finally found out, one time when I came up with some needed cash, she was pleasantly surprised. She knew money burned a hole in her pocket so she didn't mind that I would stash a little.

In my second marriage, my wife told me she could never manage a bank account and I would have to do it. I told her I could do it just fine, but being as how she needed the practice, she would do it. I said I would be around to help until she got the hang of it. She was never taught to be independent. Today, she is independent and manages just fine.

My wife and I share bank accounts and we have both started with nothing and have both contributed to what we have now. My wife and I are good about saving money and she is very good at managing our bank account. If you don't trust your spouse or you are afraid they will spend all the money, then it's probably better to not marry them.

When I'm using CC my phone (which is almost neveer), the thumbs-up symbol is the only one available. On my desktop or laptop there's a bunch of others to choose from.

not true. I am on my phone. And I just gave you an agree. You simply hold your thumb a bit longer on the thumb, and you get all the reactions you need.

If you are on a PC place the curser over the like symbol and the other symbols will appear. Not sure about smart phones but if the curse hovers over the like symbol the other options will be available.
