Of Course i know about Moses and the pharao.. what about it?
sorry i wasn't trying to talk down to you... i haven't seen you around before
and on this thread we get everything from sinless perfectionist work salvation people to atheists and everything in between
the point is.....
God does indeed establish who has and who does not have "authority"
much good comes from this
but to us less than perfect beings can see "current" situations as ... silly... (women wearing pants)
or down right wicked (the pharaoh was my example of this)
but there is a purpose to all of it
that ultimately will be used for the greater good
if a saved... born again believer who happens to be a woman wears pants in france is she any less saved?
no...
but for us to be effective witnesses to those without the truth (Jesus)
we ought to obey the laws of man tied to the land we stand on
this is where the verse already posted comes into play
"Ro 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same"
if there comes a time where we are faced with doing "good"
OR
following the law of man
(choosing to do good against a wicked law is much different from breaking the law in hopes good will come)
we shouldnt be afraid to stand for whats right
sorry for my long winded response....
maybe i should have first asked
what it is you "doubt"
