That's right.

There is nothing I could read outside of the Bible that could convince me Jesus had the sin nature the rest of us have, and the Bible does not say that he did. There is a reason for the virgin birth.

But if I get bored... maybe I'll have a look.
The virgin birth was for His deity but the virgin was for His adamic sinful human nature.

Are you saying babies, who have not committed any sins yet, are sinful?
Yes, sinful in nature (selfish for example) yet not being held accountable for the sin because they are children.

I am unsure if Jesus had the sinful nature or not, but:
Mary definitely knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that He was special.
Jesus was tempted in all ways (tough to be tempted without a sinful nature)

I agree. Jesus could have our sinful nature yet He mastered it. If a sinful nature makes us sinful then babies who have died are in hell since they can't repent of their sins and have faith in the atonement of the cross.
Agreed. Jesus exampled how to live for us. The best way to do that was to be tempted by sin but to overcome it.
He kept His eye on God and stayed focused on Him throughout his life. Jesus lived His life as an example for the rest of us to follow.

Then show me the commandment babies are breaking like : 'Thou shalt not cry out when you are hungry or need to be held'; 'Thou shalt not cry out when your diapers need changing'? Otherwise I agree with everything else you said.

I believe that the sinful nature of a child should be obvious to anybody who has raised or been around children. This does not mean that they are sinners. Likewise, if Jesus did inherit the sinful nature of man through Adam it does not mean that He was a sinner, only that it would have been possible, even normal for Him to feel the temptation to sin (which, of course, as he "grew in stature and in grace", He did not sin).

Yes, I have raised children and spent many years in children's ministry. My observation, I saw all behave like this until around 11 or 12 yrs old when they didn't anymore:

Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Then explain how or where I am misinterpreting the AOG pages?
You (seem to) believe that vulnerability to death is equivalent to the sin nature. That is not specified in the AOG position; it is your twist on what those pages say.

You didn't read the pages I posted. Please read them and address specifics. You are just a waste of time otherwise.

Herosefromthedead, I have not heard back from you which probably means I am interpreting those pages from the AOG theology book correctly. It is a shame you can't admit I'm right about this.

You haven't heard back from me because you're a complete waste of time. Having a discussion with you is like trying to reason with a donkey. You completely misrepresent what those fellows say in that AOG systematic theology book.

Since you did not give an explanation lets me know I am right. It also shows now you were purposely being dishonest to quote that paragraph you did and say that quote is the AOG textbook author's opinion when clearly it is not.

Yeah you go ahead and pat yourself on the back. While you do that stand in front of a mirror so you'll have someone that agrees with you. And if you put a mirror behind you you'll have a whole crowd patting you on the back.

At least I will be around someone who doesn't discuss in a dishonest fashion.
