I did not say Trump is a mouthpiece for the beast. I am trying to stick to the topic on whether people who advocate for lies hate Jesus, who is truth?
You keep giving a verse, though, that speaks of this, a person being the mouthpiece for the beast of Rev, and relating it to Trump, and saying also that those who support Trump, are lovers of lies. How do you make this leap, that those who support the practices and policies of President Donald Trump, are lovers of lies and therefore haters of Jesus, when by your own admission, Trump is in office by the express will of God? I am not an American, but I do see Trump as someone who is trying to protect America from forces that seek to see its destruction.

So instead of supporting and praying for an imperfect leader who is in office and therefore can make positive changes, we should do what? Drop out of political action until some "perfect Christian" is leader? Good luck finding one.

In other words, we need to live in the real world, not some utopian fantasy.

Christians should not affiliate themselves with wordly politicians who are mostly liars, adulterers, who want to rule over others, who pretend Christianity just to be elected etc.

On the other hand, when some Christians do that, I do not think it must automatically mean they hate truth or Christ. They can just choose smaller evil or they can be just fleshy/wordly.
I can agree with your perspective to a certain degree.
I just hope and pray that when the beasts mouthpiece does come around and makes prosperity so good for everyone, that I then not be too worldly/fleshy being among them who are not written in the book of life.

Try not to twist my statements; I did not say Evangelicals hate Jesus because they support the lesser of two evils. I questioned whether Evangelicals (and others) who wholeheartedly advocate for someone they know to be a pathological liar, means their hating Christ who is truth?

and yet you said this

If a certain group of people advocate for someone who casts truth to the ground repeatedly, does that certain group of people love truth/Jesus?
I would not hesitate to say that in this case, truth is hardly the decision making factor

what is truth to you, is not truth to others

so, in that case, you appear to set yourself up as judge while throwing in some scripture to sound authentic

but I am pretty sure you know that as you change your stance a little as the thread continues and people continue to call you out on your very leftist views

no they do not hate Jesus

what they hate, are the lies and deep racial tensions left by Trump's predecessor

Trump had a pen and a phone...his own words....so he did whatever he wanted to do like he was the King of Siam or something

it takes actual ability to get things passed where they become law and no so easy to erase

Interesting that there are so many non American Trump supporters here. I did not know he had such a large following outside the U.S..
And once again I am not saying that Trump is the beasts mouthpiece, only that like the little horn (aka the beasts mouth) who casts truth to the ground, so does Trump on a daily basis.

It's about whether you love truth or whether you love lies.
Well if you have lied just once your in the same bucket you seek to cast others in .

What about the rest of my post?

I just stated the fact. The reason people prefer Trum is he is the lesser of two evils. Thats why he was voted in. YAnd now your calling us christ haters..

By the way, Who would you have voted for the last election?

We live in interesting times, yes? I am not much of a political person, but the American presidential election issues of 2016 made me sit up and take notice like never before. It was impossible for me to come out in favor of Hilary, and equally impossible for me to find sympathy for those who cried about needing protection while they traitorously rioted and rampaged following the election results, while Obama sat back and did nothing. Hey, did you see Obama as being a liar? Or Hilary? What about Bill?

I think the problem with the beast from Revelation is/was that people worsphipped the beast, therefore leaving faith in the true God aside.

Its not just about some rational democratic election from various candidates, I imagine it more like following the person to some fanatical religious extent similar to Nazi Germany.

I think the reason why this topic is upsetting to some is that they are aware of the dilemma it poses with their supposed faith in Jesus (truth).
no luigi

we are simply somewhat aghast at your assumptions that you seem to believe you can call believers liars and those who hate Jesus while pretending you are not doing that by putting your claims in the form of a question

seriously. who all do you think you are talking to?

doesn't matter what you believe with regards to this thread, it is YOUR belief. and as such, is not God's word despite the many verses you have posted in an attempt to make it seem so

I'm not too interested in politics. While Jesus was on the Earth, He didn't busy Himself about politics. He busied Himself about His Father's business - the Kingdom of God that is to come.

All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus by His Father - so, whoever is in positions of authority has been placed there by God. When Pontus Pilate was explaining to Jesus that he (Pontus Pilate) had authority to give Jesus life or death, Jesus responded, "The only authority you have is that which has been given to you by My Father in Heaven."

We get to pray, vote and be active in our communities, cities, states, and countries as God leads us to do. However, politics should not divide us.

As I previously posted we should pray that our current leaders do that which is positive.

There are many Evangelicals who advocate for a certain politician, of whom they are well aware is a pathological liar.
I agree we should not dismiss any leaders lies since they make decisions on our behalf, and the fact that we all lie does not mean it is okay to lie, nor does it mean that we should not defend and push for truth in government.

Turning a blind eye to Trump's narcissism really makes Christians look bad, however one can still support his "policies" if they serve the best interest of the country.

Evangelicals are beleagured and a little too naive, just because a man waives a bible in the air does not mean he believes what is in it.
The facade is troubling though I agree. He knew he needed to have the religious right and he pandered to it.

Here is what the Bible states about those set above us. Why do you not act accordingly? You rant against Trump.
God has appointed him over us!!

Romans 13 AMPC
1 Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God [by His permission, His sanction], and those that exist do so by God’s appointment.
2 Therefore he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged [in divine order]. And those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves [receiving the penalty due them].
3 For civil authorities are not a terror to [people of] good conduct, but to [those of] bad behavior. Would you have no dread of him who is in authority? Then do what is right and you will receive his approval and commendation.
4 For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, [you should dread him and] be afraid, for he does not bear and wear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant to execute His wrath (punishment, vengeance) on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore one must be subject, not only to avoid God’s wrath and escape punishment, but also as a matter of principle and for the sake of conscience.
6 For this same reason you pay taxes, for [the civil authorities] are official servants under God, devoting themselves to attending to this very service.
7 Render to all men their dues. [Pay] taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due.

Interesting that Paul spent many days and nights in jail, so he did not always abide by the rule of unjust governors.

serious you don't know?

that's a common term applied to many but really is a broad brush name because love labels

The term evangelical derives from the Greek word euangelion meaning “gospel” or “good news.” Technically speaking, evangelical refers to a person, church, or organization that is committed to the Christian gospel message that Jesus Christ is the savior of humanity
many people now sit under that umbrella but many are not even saved . they just go to a church that sits under that umbrella

they might have fries at the church supper
