That's not weakness, that's love. If you think you love a woman and you don't think about her constantly or wouldn't do anything for her then you're not really in love.

Yea but love is expressed because it makes you vulnerable, unfortunately people use that to take advantage of people so in that sense it could be dangerous. SO you act like you are never vulnerable and try not to get too involved until you can trust them, at least that's how i am i got trust issues lol.

Attention women folk..

Sure we are the weaker sex, made from a man, deceived by Satan. And yes, we are called to be helpmates, servants and mothers.

Have you ever thought about this though? Maybe there is strength in this to be had...

I mean where is God's strength perfected? In weakness, right? If we have more fragility, there is more room for His strength. Sure, maybe our nurturing softer hearts, need His strength more. Maybe that's how we are able to be mothers, servants and helpmates. Those of us women that don't get that role, maybe they get even more strength to get through it.

I'm not suggesting that we are better, or have more because we have less. I just want us to remember to walk in His designed victory of our designed role centered around service and humility.

We must see that God uses us too. That we have a place and matter too. We are part of His plan. Let's not think less of our weakened estate, or of Him or them because of it. Let's step out of egos way, so He can use us to His advantage.

God Bless you, Sisters in Christ...💛🙏 :D
The Bible refers to women as weaker vessels and 1 Peter 3:7. The Bible also states that a virtuous woman is clothed with strength and dignity.
Proverbs 31:25

The weaker vessel phrase is quoted often, but the fact that a virtuous woman is clothed with strength frequently gets overlooked.

Respectfully, that's infatuation, not love.

So you wouldn't do anything for the woman you love?
Well, you’d cook dinner for the person you love, but you wouldn’t jump off a cliff for them, would you? Lol.

“Doing anything for the woman or man you love” is subjective.

If I loved a woman and had to lay my life down for hers I'd do it. There was a guy in the Aurora theater shooting back in 2010? who jumped in front of his girlfriend and shielded her so she wouldn't get shot and he died protecting her. I would do the same if it was someone I loved.

So you wouldn't do anything for the woman you love? And you don't think a lot about someone you're in love with?
This isn't the BDF, so I'm going to go easy on you this time. You have misconstrued and misrepresented what I wrote.

I did? If you say so. I don't see how that's even possible, and would love to know how I misconstrued it, but if you don't want to explain, that's up to you.

So you're just going to accuse me of being wrong and not even tell me why? That's not very nice of you.

Welcome to Bible Discussion Forum where every topic can and WILL become an argument.

What? We're not in BDF? Funny, I could have sworn we were... It's getting so hard to tell the difference between BDF and Singles these days.

I would quote voddie bauchem " love is an act of the will, accompanied by emotion, on behalf of it's object". I forgot to add that to what you said earlier but basically Jesus loved us, He also loved the Father but He didn't want to go to tge cross, He didn't really find joy in us cuz we're idiots He loved us cuz he just did he even says that to Israel at one point. Love isn't an emotion, although it comes with it, it's more of an action you CHOOSE to love people. What we call love is usually just a mixture of greek mythology involving cupid and confusion that comes from desire and lust. Emotion is part of love but it is not the basis of it because if it was then when you don't feel so good, like when Jesus was sweating blood while praying to the Father, that means we aren't being loving and if that were the case Jesus wouldn't be perfect. SO love is best understood, for me, by Bauchem's definition and things we call love tend to be, like Dino said infatuation.

I'm sure we tend to get offended or somehow feel disrespected when people say we are wrong but it's not a bad thing just another chance to learn. Maybe we are wrong, inevitably we will be at times but we shouldn't freak out, we should hear the other person out and try to learn something. If they are wrong we should share our knowledge and hope they give the same respect we had. If not we should respectfully explain more or change the topic, maybe we should leave at times so we don't do anything foolish. We are bound to disagree but it doesn't have to be aggressive or argumentative, we just all have to be humble and hear eachother out, it's not easy but being like Jesus never is.

Wise words for a young person.

We are all one in Christ. We're not less than to men.
And any woman who has given birth knows for sure we're not the weaker sex. If men gave birth we'd have a lot less human population populating the earth. :giggle:
We are not lesser than men, but we are told to submit to our husbands. That is a role we are obliged to take on. We are still equal heirs to the kingdom.

I certainly do agree with your estimation on women. They tend to keep the guys out of trouble. :)

I can't say anything in this thread. I've already been far too complimentary about women in the "what do you think about _____" thread. If I say anything else in this thread it will sound like I'm sucking up.
I get accused of that, being a suck up, all the time, (I love expressing to folks what I like about then or what they say, almost to the point of irritating. Folks discount ones authenticity when one does that too much, dag nabbit). You, kind sir, I doubt would ever have anyone question your authenticity.

That was true for and remains true for many Jewish women of the day.
Christian women are told there is no divisiveness due to gender when we are in Christ. We are all one.
Ephesians 5:31
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
