He tells us to study to be approved.
Who is he?
And how does studying anything
wins the approval of God?

If anything I would have to say
to win the approval of God
your love for Him has to be in
Spirit and truth.

So if you are going to study anything
then study how to love God
in your heart mind and soul
in Spirit and truth.

Let everything you say, think and do be in Spirit and truth
and you will win the approval of God.

It is a good thing for you that you do not have to love me.
You would be a failure in the eyes of God.
Love and truth are two sides of the same coin. Telling you the truth is showing love. Blasting people with demanding questions is not showing love.

Salvation is a free gift from God.
Therefore you do not have to do anything
to win the approval of God for your salvation.

True or false?

This you have stated has errors and flaws within it.

I would advise you to proof read
whatever you say to me and remove all the errors and flaws
from it before you say it to me.

Then you will be in truth.

Charli,
With respect, "study" in the verse you reference (2 Tim 2:15) was a 16th-century term. It doesn't mean "study" as we use the word today. Its meaning is closer to "work". :)

Not altogether a statement of truth because you must seek forgiveness of your sins and allow the Holy Spirit to work through you in the repentance process. I believe though that once you are born again you have the blessed assured hope of salvation for eternity even though you are still imperfect in your spiritual walk. It's like it says in the book of Isaiah, "Come now, and let us reason together...line upon line, precept upon precept. A little here, a little there...". Salvation is a free gift but came at a heavy price that Jesus paid for us. We certainly cannot win the approval of God for our salvation.

You contradicted yourself several times in your attempt to condemn me.
It was not a statement of truth it was a question.

There are no contradictions in the truth.

Oh thank you, see this helps me. My favorite responses to me and to others are ones that inspire me to more study. That study I just used is meant the way of searching a matter out.

I would have to disagree with you.

The best choice if you had one
would be to love God with all your heart
your mind and soul
everyday.

I am sure God would put your love
for Him over everything else.

But you do as you see fit.
I agree with that, for sure. Our Love for Him, our Faith in Him is most important. His word agrees with you, for sure. I derive much joy and rejoicing when I eat from the word, it is nutrition for my soul. My heart and soul seek to reach for His Almighty Majestic, set apart, self. God Bless you in whatever your ministry is.

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
The saved will love you as Jesus loved them.
The condemned will not love you as Jesus loved them.
Is there any errors or flaws in this I have stated to you?
If so point them out to me.
Please no theories or doctrines or theologies
or your opinions of what you believe as the truth.
Just point out any errors or flaws you can find within
the statements I made to you.
Thank you.

Why? You didn't say all that much............ Telling me you went to all the trouble to search the interweb, find, and join a Christian Web Site to post this?

John
Chapter 16:13

Howbeit when he
the Spirit of truth
is come
he will guide you into all truth
for he shall not speak of himself
but whatsoever he shall hear
that shall he speak
and he will show you things to come.

1 John
Chapter 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you
and ye need not that any man teach you
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things
and is truth
and is no lie
and even as it hath taught you
ye shall abide in him.

If you have
the indwelling of the Holy Ghost
then why do you have to
study God's word to know it?
I don't need to, I want to. It is my honor and my privilege. I am so grateful for His word. I think the knowing comes in praise and worship and that reading the word is a component of those.

i know atheists that know the word of God more than you.

And God seeks praise and worship in Spirit and truth.

If you can not find any errors or flaws
in what I have said here on this thread

why argue against it?

You cannot win so why try something that is in vain from the beginning?
