I'd encourage you to do more than post videos. Preferably a brief summary that includes the length of the video. You'll find a lot of people won't click on the video otherwise.

Judaism did not exist until after the advent of Jesus, Yeshua...… No, it is not Zionism.

True Zionism is looking to dwell in the Zion of God, Elohanu.

Judaism is a new "religion" created after the destruction of the temple.

Surely those who practice Judaism support Zionism?

The video at the beginning shows clearly that Orthodox Jews stand against political Zionism to the extend the are prepared to be beaten up and jailed for their protests

Why would they be against Zionism?

Surely they must know that a temple in Jerusalem is vital to their religion???

Not true. I come from this background and I can tell you: Most hardline orthodox jews believe they have NO BUSINESS being in the land of Israel, because the vast majority of israel's population is atheist/secular and is living in open sin and disobedience to the Torah.

The jews who tend to be most pro-zionist are the reform/conservative/ and some non-haredi orthodox jews.

The hardline orthodox jews teach and believe that in order to inherit the land, Torah obedience is a must.

As for what you said about the temple, there is disagreement among the rabbis. There is a saying we have: Put two rabbis in a debate and you come up with three answers. :D
There is a group which teaches that the MESSIAH will come and build the temple. Some teach that we got to build it now, and then the Messiah will simply show up there.

Actually it's not, Judaism is based on a no temple system - what they "practice" is not the temple cultus/religion of the 1st century that Jesus grew up in.

So the answer is "NO, they don't know that a temple in Jerusalem is vital to their religion".

I suppose since so many are just making up their own rules as they go along Judaism might as well too.

Oh yeah, that's been the problem with Judaism all along...

The formation of the State of Israel is younger than me, and even though politics is a grubby business Israel has followed a political agenda since its inception and has spawned a variety of followers from all types of denominations including the so called Christian Zionists and strong followers of Pastor John Hagee who believes present day Jews do not need the Gospel and to teach them the Gospel in his opinion in antisemitism. The Orthodox Jews follow the Torah which is why they protest against the Zionist state of Israel and even though they reject Jesus they believe the Jews are still in exile.

If I remember rightly Judaism no longer believes in a coming Messiah - I'd have to dig around to find out to confirm that.

False.

They do believe in the coming Messiah. And are infact PATIENTLY waiting for one to appear, and many believe its close.

Unfortunately, the christ they will be getting will be a false one... the antichrist.. That is until God will set them straight and many will be saved before the second coming of Jesus and they enter the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world.

YEAH BUDDY

I thought they needed a temple for that, too.

Yes. Some believe they have to build it themselves. Others believe the Messiah will build it when He comes.

Not necessarily. In fact Orthodox Jews are/were opposed to Zionism, which is purely secular and political. Orthodox Jews believe in their Messiah, and that he will come to earth as prophesied (which will then be the Antichrist, since Christ has been rejected).

Zionism was a 19th century political movement by primarily Eastern European Jews to carve out a homeland in Palestine with the assistance of the British.

'Political Zionism stressed the importance of political action and deemed the attainment of political rights in Palestine a prerequisite for the fulfillment of the Zionist enterprise. Political Zionism is linked to the name of Theodor Herzl, who considered the Jewish problem a political one that should be solved by overt action in the international arena. His aim was to obtain a charter, recognized by the world leadership, granting the Jews sovereignty in a Jewish owned territory. The Basle Program, drawn up in accordance with these principles, states that Zionism aims to establish “a secure haven, under public law, for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel.” Organizational and economic mechanisms (the Zionist Organization [ZO], the Jewish National Fund [Keren Kayemet L'Israel], the Jewish Colonial Trust and so on) were established to carry out this program.

There is also so-called religious Zionism, which is to promote Judaism with a focus on the Torah. But Judaism is the same as the religion of the scribes and Pharisees, where the traditions of men have been written down in the Talmud (which is generally more important than the Torah, and clearly rejects Jesus as their Messiah).

MATT. 22:32.
I Am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
