I have a dear friend who is from Eritrea. When she comes to visit she brings green (raw) coffee beans (not sure what kind other than that).. and she first roasts them as well as a small handful of dried ginger root pieces in a small pan, bringing them to me afterward to smell because that is also part of the ceremony of having coffee. Then she grinds them well and pours then down the spout of an earthen pot where she also adds the water and puts it on to brew. Not sure about her particulars for judging when it is ready but then she serves it with warmed milk and sugar in a special coffee set. Not only is it a joy to experience her culture and act of friendship, but it's by far the best coffee that I've EVER had!!! Wish I could have it everyday, but then it wouldn't be special so...

When I make it myself it's Folgers Classic brewed in my Mr. Coffee knockoff -- and served with plenty of sugar and 2 small tsp of coffeemate. (occasionally a flavored kind of creamer... or even a flavored coffee just for something different. Recently I've been adding dry pumpkin pie spice mix into the filter with the coffee and brewing them together. It is SOOOOOO good!!!)

Part of my Christmas present was a coffee grinder and several small bags of whole coffee beans from various places and roasted various ways for me to try. I can hardly wait!!! :p

Oh wait... what was the question?!?!?! LOL I just heard "coffee.." and took off!!! :D LOL Probably can't tell I like it at all, huh?? ;) lol
I drink Folgers Classic too that is brewed in my Mr. Coffee. I am drinking a cup right now even as we speak. It's not so bad if you think about it.

REAL MEN take their coffee one way!

A couple of beans between the cheek and gum, AND DON'T SPIT!
