Are you a leader?

Jesus is my Leader..

I would not say i am a good follower,,, But good or bad follower Jesus is still my King of Kings..

When it comes to other people i don't seek to be a leader and i rarely see any human Being worthy to follow..

That is probably way i ended up single.. Most people either was to lead in a relationship or follow..

Leader? No, I might a good pointer though.

of the' glass'...~I tried my selfish way for over four decades...and, I didn't do well...believe it!
And, I also know all the 'lessons' on earth are useless....without APPLYING the instructions...
reading 'lessons' feels good, pumps me up, etc. etc....striving to APPLY the 'instructions' requires
daily maintenance and inventory of myself, and helps me grow spiritually, as part of God's realm
of things...here in the now...spiritual and worldly harmony are essential in keeping in tune with
God's 'presence' of the Holy Spirit within...me....so what is the purpose, if I am not right with my
spiritual well being...of Christ In Us."....look around folks....where is the Spirit of Christ our Lord God..
many mean well by their opinions and discussion....is not in tune with God's Divine Spirit of more
relevance in these UNCERTAIN times...and...from this side of the 'glass'...I believe so."...

We all look to Jesus, Yeshua, as the Head of all the Body Members, yet, while He is away, there are appointed varied works for all, not all are teachers, not all are healers, etc, yet there is order withing th Body.

Otherwise we would all be running helter-skelter without any organization other than caotic anarchy. Many people within the framework of this forum have guided me over the years in Yeshua, Jesus, and I m not ashamed nor doubtful in any manner that this has been by His design. If a person nees no guidance within the Body, then that person is perfect in himself.

There are leaders who are corrupt and who got their position through evil ways. There are also those who are wise and appointed by God. As for me, I can see myself as a leader and I think God is leading me to that path. I have been praying the prayer of Jabez (1 chronicles 4:10) It is to help me find God's will in my life and for protection and to enlarge my influence. My willingness and weakness + God's will and supernatural power = my expanding territory/influence.

Honestly, I consider myself a bond-servent for Christ, a follower of Him. I have always been a better Indian than a chief, as I tend to be meek. I def do not command respect. I do think we should give that to everyone, though, because of who we are called to be not because of others. I do want to be an ambassador for the cause of God. Do you consider yourself a leader of leaders?

My grandma used to sing this with words "Heart of Jesus meek and mild..." Somehow the words stuck with me.. you wouldnt think or see me as a leader for i would whisper more than speak. Long ago, actually in Gr. 4, unfortunately!, our class voted me as class president, while my seatmate, our vice president. (Or was that just a dream now i think of it!) I was too soft spoken and did not want to preside. I'd ask her to speak for me at times. Miserable days you're expected to speak, when you'd rather hide under your table hehe. By high school, thankfully our music teacher let me join glee club. And while i still did not relish speaking in reports, for ex., i could at least sing in a group before crowds, which somehow raised my confidence even a bit=).

No, i dont see myself as a leader of leaders now, but that is a goal for us, along with being a kingdom-builder and ambassador for Christ...

I know of many people in my time that are "leaders" in the spirit though seemingly not so. This is where we ust learn the teaching of not to judge by appearances but with right judgment.

A very early example in my walk was a wonderful lad from a "ghetto" area where I was sharing the Word. He could not read so he had to hear the Word. I shared all I could with him and others with joy.

After a few days he came to me to tell me something. He was beaming and smiling big time. He said do you know what, Jack? I am David. Well, my first thought was he was on something other than hot coffee. Then he went on to say, "I am David, we all are, and I pick up a stone, (one of those five), and I slay Goliath with It. Goliath is Sastan and the Stone is Jesus."

I weep for gladness even now as I recall how humbling it was for me. learned to try to see our Lord everywhere because of this illiterate, beautiful child. Please pray he remained in the way, that was in 1969.

Thanks for the share, jack. This reminds me of our pastor in a southern province. He was a small, dark handsome fisherman. But he taught us about God's Word. And there was this shoeless evangelist who roamed around also speaking God's Word. (They knew what they were talking about and that was more important.) He did not wear shoes because of deformed foot. But people listened to him.

You are right, we are called to, I suppose. I reckon, He puts us where He can most use us, all for His Glory. It does make our purpose so awesome being Kingdom-builders and ambassadors for Christ. Thanks to all who read and responded. When Israel was told to be the head and not the tail, it meant they were to lead, right? I hear and read abt people not really thinking or dreaming of leading, but when God called, how could they not obey? From Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah.. and Paul was not eloquent either, just as a few i hear abt on radio. When we're commanded to go to all the world and make disciples... and we teach and train another, discipling is also abt leading, is it not? As some here have said, even mothers have that leadership role which is not always obvious, but is there.

I wish i could reply individually to more here, but will find time, hopefully later. To han, yes, Jesus is our best example of a leader to follow. I hope He really is that leader we follow today.

Deut 28 v 13. the chapter about blessings and curses. Basically God said if they
followed and obeyed they will be blessed, if not they will be cursed.

I’ve often heard this verse mis used in all sorts of context, usually by the
prosperity gospel.

It’s not anything to do with salvation we can never earn salvation, or leadership I don’t think.
Many people were positioned without doing anything - Saul/Paul, Cyrus, for example, many also
just by birth into a royal family. That still happens today.

Even David said why do the evil seem to prosper.
The early Christians were fed to the lions and there is still perscecution of Christians.
Jesus turned it on it’s head He said blessed are you when men curse you and do all
kinds of evil against you! Why. Because we know Jesus and they do not, we have eternal
life they have eternal death. We have hope they have nothing.

We are no longer blessed by obeying works based religion. We are blessed by Jesus
who gave His life. We obey out of love and a desire to know God and follow love itself.
We are cursed by not believing and eternal death.

That said, all things do still work together for good for those that love the Lord, even
if there is hardship along the way. 😊

Sometimes I lead because I know what to say or do.....other times, I follow because I don’t know what to say or do!! Lol!

I don’t think I have qualities for a good leader, but I notice I have a tendency to take the lead in starting things sometimes. Whether it be conversation, activity, ect. So it may not sadly be that I’m a leader but that I can be controlling. 😅

Thankful to have had the chance to read thru another book by John Maxwell, who wrote The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Allow me to share some quotes from his book The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork: (Whoo, so much to learn=)
