Believers do understand it's you that cannot. You could but you would need to get truly born again and have the indwelling Holy Spirit. You cannot ever understand by your own intellect.

For the cause of Christ

for me because of Him, and only Him; we who are His are bondservents. For me, it is simple as that. Obedience matters, love matters, He said so. It is impossible without Him, period. We are free to walk in His spirit. Victory is in Him alone.
Do you think Jude 1:24-25 is about us and our blameless selves, actions and thoughts? I don't, I think it is about Him and His Amazing Love, Grace and Power. Ours is to seek to pay Him forward. I wish that I was pure, wouldn't that be divine. But with Him, I now want to be, because He is. Again a heart matter.
Again, His work produces and empowers our effectual faith. He also inspires us to chk ourselves so that we are NOT grieving the Spirit.
I am beating that already pummeled dead horse again, so I will thank you for this time and fellowship. God Bless you as you continue to seek His input,
Would you say that He told us not to argue, and not to lean on our own understanding. Well one could say we are not obeying, or one could say we are seeking christian fellowship and scriptural clarity as we were called to do. One is a pride issue, the other a sincere heart for His Will matter.

Agreed. My point, how can so many blatantly say abiding in Christ/Messiah/Vine is not Biblical? Laugh and scoff? It's so easy to look it up!

So God is in your debt now..... is that what you are postulating?
and fyi the opposite of free will is not "robot" it is determinism.
Charli, I'm called to teach people spiritual Truth.
Don't you think this is much needed?
of course it is important, my apologies, sincerely, if I implied or said that it was not. I was just giving my two cents, my understanding thus far.
Carry on and I appreciate the hunger for truth and for seeking and sharing Him.
Just make absolutely sure it is Bible truth. There are many spirits and many spiritual truths out there.
Actually, do those called by the LORD to teach others
still in need of hungering for more spiritual Truth?
Interesting question, don't you think?
What I do know, I am asked to share with others.
Do you believe in the 5-fold ministry of Ephesians 4:11-12 ...
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,
and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints
for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ ..."
Much warmth and love from Your Sister in Christ, Charli Bear (Renee).
Is your signature meant for all members of this forum?
FYI, not all members of Christians forums are your brothers and sisters.
I do not know the hearts of others, so to those who are not I seek to address them with hopes that they are. I reckon that I am addressing my Brothers and Sisters on this site. If one is not, I still love him/her (or seek to) and hope someday we will be family in Him. What a precious and priceless and binding gift He gives, huh? It also comes with responsibility and accountability as we are called to be good stewards of those who belong to Him.
He will seperate the wheat and the tares someday, so I just hope and pray that if they are not they will one day be.
I do realize the difference of the verses that tell us to warn them privately, then bring witnesses and then... well, that also makes sense, wise and practical in application, for the well-being of the flock and the individual running a muck.
About your 1st question...
I believe in the truth of those verses, 100%. We all are ambassadors of Christ, appealing for the cause of God, and yes He has gives and equips some with different roles, callings and responsibilities within the central calling of appealing for the cause of God. Different members of one body, right?
Sorry if I my answer was to vague with reference to the 5 fold ministry. Maybe I do not understand the question.
I do apologize, I've been ill and appear to have missed 4 pages of discussion, so I'll wait until the next topical thread comes around. I'm sure in 4 pages someone said all that needed to be said - may God be praised.
It is finished is clear......most have no idea it is an accounting term.......end of story.....these salvation losers and workers for absolutely devalue Christ, his work, his power, his promises, his blood etc.......sickening....
It would help if you would differentiate between our justification and our sanctification. With our justification, we have absolutely no part in becoming His child and being declared righteous on account of Christ.
In our sanctification, Philippians is appropriate...
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
(Php 2:12-13)
But all in all, from justification onwards, God is at the helm...
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
(Rom 5:10)
There are far too many Christians who have still not grasped the meaning of justification, and everything else which God does in connection with that. Justification does not simply stand by itself.
There is absolutely nothing in human experience which is equivalent to justification. That is why for over 1,000 years the Roman Catholic Church simply could not grasp its meaning. And when the Reformers brought it to the forefront, then the RCC resisted with all its might, and condemned them as heretics.
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
You are in error and your words ring hollow.....!!
Yes, there is a constant mixing of justification and sanctification, and as a result there is constant doubt about there standing before God by those who mix the two.
The Holy Spirit is the best Teacher!
1 John 2:27 King James Version (KJV)
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
My response will seem like a vicious attack and I promise that’s the furthest thing from the truth. It is from an extremely sad heart that I say this is one of the most heretical statements I’ve ever read. I felt my spirit pierced with grief upon reading the above words and am holding back tears as I write these words. I simply don’t know what else to say.
Do you abide in Christ?
Or do you turn away from Christ and attempt to maintain your own Righteousness?
Do you turn away from Christ and attempt to maintain your own Salvation?
If you abide in Christ you fully trust in Him to maintain your Righteousness and Salvation. You REST in Christ.
But if you preach that you must work at the law or you must somehow maintain your own Righteousness and Salvation then you are not abiding in Christ.
Paul stated all of this BEFORE he got into his dire warnings!
Try Romans 6 and Romans 8 on for size!
Throughout the NT, one group of verses DO NOT cancel out another group of verses!
