We were made to Love Him first and then one another. It is so important that He died for it.
Why do you suppose it is so hard to even like one another sometimes, let alone love one another. Does it come down to how we define love, or is it because there is only so much time in the day?
What does brotherly love look like to you?
Oh btw, I am NOT addressing online forum interactions. Personally, I believe debates done logically and wisely, and with brotherly love (something I often see) can be a great pastime and profitable to our faith and growth. I so enjoy coming together to reason, fellowship and laugh.
I think the message of love is at the core of our faith, and also the most difficult to do. Even those we are closest to presents great effort to our flesh from time to time.
I know brotherly love isn't all rainbows and sunshine, all warm and fuzzy, but it should be considerate, merciful, and honor our Father.
So what does brotherly love look like?
In proverbs we have this verse…
A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
