We are definitely having a potluck. There's no way I would ever try to guess at or take requests for what everyone wants, expects, or can/can't have! This way everyone can bring something they can have and would like (even if it's boxed mac and cheese -- I'd actually have some of that!)

Footing a bill and then asking people to chip in NEVER seems to go well (at least not in my experience), and at least with a potluck, there is never any danger of running out of food.

(Plus, I sadly missed out on a pie-baking contest a few months ago, and I'm still looking for something to fill that multiple-pie-sized void in my heart.)

Yay for people bringing lots of pies! My favorite kind of pie is round.

I would also eat up all the fruit, including the prunes. I can eat, and have eaten, 2 lb of dark cherries at once with no serious repercussions.
 
Someone obtain a bunch of money, in a legitimate business practice, and make it happen.

I would probably flake and make up some excuse why it's not possible to go. lol

Now if it's a CC winter snow party with lots of ski lifts and mountains of snow, we need to do some serious planning.

We'll need to start some serious fund raising or we could just recruit some rich christian philanthropist to join CC and donate lots of money for this good cause... lol
