I'm aware that I joined the site almost a month ago and have neglected to write an intro until now. Better late than never, right?

You can call me "Catlessi", it means Mother of Cats. I have two rescues, a calico and a siamese. The light of my life is my pre-teen son who keeps me on my toes constantly. I'm 32 years old and a single mom, my son's father passed away in Nov. 2017 in an accident. I've been in and out of churches since I was young, needless to say, I haven't found my home church yet. I do enjoy fellowship with like-minded individuals and having Christ-centered discussions. I'm alone here in NH due to a foolish mistake I made. (I relocated here for a relationship with a man I was unequally yoked with.) I work as a paraeducator at a local elementary school. I work with children from low-income families that have experienced a level of trauma in their lives, whether it came from abuse, drug-addicted family, homelessness, etc. It's a challenging job but it's rewarding. I'm also attending college to receive my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in order to obtain my teaching license. My dream is to teach 4th or 5th grade, whether it's in public school, private school, or Christian school.

Greetings Catlessi welcome... I think you will like it here in the cc... Lots of amazingly honest, and gracious, sometimes outspoken and opinionated - but always loving, caring and giving of advice for those who are seeking prayer, friendship, support or just a break from their daily routine... God Bless

I was stranded in Maine for 8 years due to relocation in a previous marriage so I can relate to this. There are quite a few single parents that are members so please know that you're not alone in this. Cats are probably the most popular animals on this site. Your dream is well worth pursuing and I am praying for God's best for you. Glad to have you as part of our family. Welcome to CC.

So happy to be here! Christmas time is my favorite time of year, it just seems so much warmer (despite the frigid temperatures). Have a very Merry Christmas, Blackbeard and a most blessed New Year!
