I know

But Your conclusion leads to that

read your conclusion

instead of praising God and his work as my Faith does

it states if I do this and I do that and as long as I do not. Etc etc

to much I in your conclusion
Scripture is given by God for our edification, and naturally Satan is going to oppose anything that keeps us close to the Lord. Then the opposer comes along and denies these same God given warnings. Work out in fear and trembling who is doing the opposers work among us.

I assume you are asking me what I believe about this passage.

Peter taught "Repent and be baptised".

Acts 2:38
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

And the obvious thing is so we can be forgiven of our sins, which is then sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Now some churches extend this to infant baptism, confirmation etc. which I do not follow.
Some think faith is not relevant before the age of responsibility.

Interestingly Paul talks about children being holy through the faith on one of their believing parents,
which implies they are saved up to the age of responsibility. He never went so far as to declare them saved
in the sense of the in dwelling Holy Spirit, but this creates a dilemma of is their salvation lost if they come
of age and do not express their personal faith?

1 Cor 7:14
For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy
So It appears you are you saying water baptism is required for forgiveness of sin. Yes or no?
I can guess by what you wrote. But do not want to assume

What are you referring to? Yes it is a good testimony to believe Jesus saves us. Are you implying it is not good to have faith in Jesus to save us? Because that would be odd, so I would appreciate some clarity, please, or you are not what you appear to be.
He did not just say Jesus saves if that’s all he said I would say amen praise God
he said Jesus saves only if we continue to do things ie things required to stay it maintain your salvation (works)

Did you read what he wrote?

Hey ! That’s pretty good to see the reason for banning. Serpent seed heresy.
I never heard of such a thing and yet there are people walking through life believing that nonsense. All the while those same people tell us we must maintain our salvation. Pretty incredible.

Your conclusion is your conclusion, because I did not link forgiveness of sins to baptism.
My understanding is baptism is the celebration of the forgiveness of sins we have through the death and resurrection of Jesus. But before the cross it was the symbolism of the cross in shadow form.

It appears God wanted the people to be cleansed ready to receive Jesus, the relationship. It was a common miss-conception that salvation was based on a righteous walk, when the relationship is the righteousness, the walk is its reflection.

You seem fascinated with "yes" "no" questions over complex issues.
And reading in things is dangerous, asking is much better.

Wow,
I am floored, never heard of this serpent seed stuff. It’s amazing how many cults are out there
Much of what I know of heresies within the church has been acquired in the years that I've been on Christian Chat. Typically persons who are in churches that are doctrinally strong won't have knowledge of them unless their church works to familiarize their congregation with common heresies.

I have come to the conclusion when people do not answer, they are afraid to, knowing their answer will do some damage to their system.
In cases such as this one she refused to clearly state her position because she knew what would happen.

Hey ! That’s pretty good to see the reason for banning. Serpent seed heresy.
Don't expect it to become the norm. It takes a lot more time to do it that way.

You live in an echo chamber.
Skin deep christians, easy believism, nominal faith is rampant.
One important way to emphasise the commitment of a believer to walk with Jesus all their life is to declare this.

In a marriage ceremony you pledge to death do us part. Is that then saying your love is not strong enough to last
till we die, or to show the importance this relationship has to you?

So I celebrate the commitment and enthusiasm all have for Jesus. Clearly certain aspects for you invalidate the faith.
Is that not adding to faith and its conditions.

So I saw what he wrote and I say amen to dedication and love for Christ.

I do not reject any scripture. You do. Basically I agree that once we are saved we are always saved, but at the same time I am aware it is possible to backslide, while you deny this, so opening the door to any sort of lifestyle that is not pleasing to God. I feel that while it is fairly common, at least on the internet, none-the-less it has the makings of a dangerous heresy. The Bible tells us to live a righteous life, that is pleasing to God.

To reiterate, in your own words concerning acts 2 passage

so we can be forgiven of our sins, which is then sealed with the Holy Spirit

so, if you believe water baptism is the baptism in acts 2. You pretty much said water baptism is required. However. Unlike some. I do mot want to assume so I ask

yet here you are still beating around the bush

that’s why I asked yes or no. Like you and @dccontoversial and @Oncefallen asked that lady last night. Yes or no

Why are people afraid of yes and no answers?

Which is why I have asked numerous times and why I try to show you what I see so you can understand why I aske the question
I thought that was part of discussion

The scripture that has been given is about salvation only, but there is nothing about growing in grace, the Christian life or walking day-by-day with the Lord.

You seem to contradict yourself with every turn
the man stated if he did not do those thing he would lose salvation. And although the person was once saved they are now headed to hell. Unless they repent again

Can you understand the difference between justification by works. And sanctification by trusting God to grow you?

no. I do not deny we can backslide
what I deny is a backslidden child of God ceases to be a child of God genes loses their salvation

I dusagree
continue to attack me if ignoring Gods word.

It is a question why God wants us to be baptised on coming to faith?

I just obey, because the Lords ways I will follow.

The strange place I am in, is if you say I am baptised without faith or repentance am I forgiven, I would say no.
If one says, I have come to faith in Jesus, repented of my sins, I would then say, amen, get baptised because your sins are forgiven.

Thats where I am on this subject. The reason I raised this subject because John called people to make their paths straight yet some deny its possible. If its not possible, why preach it and why did God send a unique human like no other, full of the Holy Spirit from birth.

Sorry I am not discussing what a third party said or did not say and my reaction or not to that statement.
None of this is productive and is not what I have read, so lets finish it there.
As I stated before if we cannot agree a level of interaction, there is no point.
God bless you.

It’s a question
is baptism in water required to receive remission of sin and the HS?
I would like to stop guessing and know once and for all

Hebrews 6:4-6 tells us the backslider cannot repent again, otherwise he is putting Christ to open shame. He has already lost his salvation.

I give up.
