Jesus minister of circumcision

Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Ephsians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Romans 15:
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

Matthew 10:5-6
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

The sign nailed to the cross said "King of the Jews" Our Lord and Savior.

Zechariah 14:9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
my pastor usually preaches on circumcision every firstfruits, and sometimes mother's day too. he's pretty seeker-sensitive
((tho i'm not sure he shares a common definition of that term))

Romans 2:28 - For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. (y)

I would offer from my experience the biggest problem is the division that men have added wrestling against other flesh and blood as if corrupted literal blood had a value other than used as a metaphor .

Gentile against the Jew as if there was any profit whatsoever. Or one replaced the other as if God was served by the corrupted hands of men from any nation.

If flesh and blood is not something the wrestle against then it sure is not something that could support us. .What we do wrestles against is spirits and principalities in high places,

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

But in time God removed the unbelievers and grafted believing gentiles into their place. So we are also those whom Jesus ministered to.
The Holy Spirit never did create a difference between a Jew and Gentile other than in cerinimoinal laws as shadows. Some worship the shadows and bring confusion. Corrupted flesh and blood is corrupted flesh and blood. Jew and gentile alike

Even the Son of man said his corrupted flesh profits for nothing. It is the unseen work of the Spirit that can and did profit

Acts 15:8-10 King James Version (KJV) And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, "purifying their hearts by faith". Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Above we are informed men are tempting God by putting a division between the corrupted flesh of one nation against the corrupted flesh of another . Why tempt God rather than walking by the faith of God that works in us to purify our hearts called the hearing of faith?

The time of the 1st century reformation has come. What are some waiting for? Another outward demonstration of the unseen Holy Spirit?

Circumcision made one a physical Jew and physical member of Israel. Jesus abolished it on the cross. So after Paul's generation of Jews died off, nothing remained to make anyone a physical member of biblical Israel. Today you have biblical Israel the Church of believers only. And secular Israel who can only be reattached to biblical Israel by faith in Christ.

But the Gospel of the Kingdom was being preached by Christ at the beginning of His ministry, and also by Paul at the end of his ministry (in the last chapter of Acts). So that is a fallacious argument.

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. (Acts 28:30,31).

We need to see that the Kingdom of God and those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ are inseparable.

1. Christ taught (in the Gospel of John) that only those who were born again would enter and see the Kingdom of God. And that the New Birth was an absolute necessity.

2. Christ also taught that during the Church Age, the Kingdom of God is within you.

3. In order for the New Birth to take place, the gift of the Holy Spirit was a necessity. Therefore He was poured out on the day Pentecost, and every believer was born again when he or she received the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2).

4. When Peter went to the home of the Gentile Cornelius, all Gentile believers also received the gift of the Holy Ghost. But because of the Jews there, they were also caused to speak in tongues supernaturally (Acts 10).

5. The Bible says that while Christ is the one who baptizes (immerses with) the Holy Ghost, it is the Holy Spirit who baptizes (immerses into) the Body of Christ those who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit: For as the [human] body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one [human] body, being many, are one [human] body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body [the Body of Christ], whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

6. Thus Jews and Gentiles were placed into the Body of Christ on the day of Pentecost, and shortly thereafter. And also ever since. And the distinction between Jew and Gentile was abolished at the same time: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:27,28)

Now while Paul brought out these teachings much later, the spiritual reality of these truths was already there shortly after the crucifixion of Christ.
The kingdom of heaven has to do with the earthly kingdom of Israel and its restoration. This is what was taught mostly in the four gospels. Most prophesies point to this. The Jews were hoping for the fulfillment of their promise to restore the nation with the rightful king sitting on the throne of David. Jesus told them to seek the kingdom of God first and His righteousness and it would be added. God’s righteousness is Jesus and His shed blood on the cross which they rejected. The kingdom of heaven was postponed and the spiritual kingdom of God continued only. Both will be realized at the Lord’s second coming.

The above statement reeks of bias and also in very sly way casts doubt on Paul and the words he was inspired to write......Pitting Jesus against Paul is pitting Jesus against Jesus <--this is satanic and not of God!
Why do the Lord teach Paul through an abundance of revelations things that were never made known if Paul was simply preaching the things Christ taught at His first coming? Further revelation had to be given because times had changed. The body of believers, made up of mostly Gentiles, had to be taught how to live in this fallen world. Things that were never taught in the four gospels to the Jews.

I see Circumcision a little differently more that Jesus fulfilled it as a shadow of the old testament ceremonial law . And not so much abolished it.

It would seem to have its foundation as a ceremonial law as one of the two signs given . It was used to represent, Christ the Son of God.

The cutting off of the flesh to represent cut off from the land of the living,(flesh and blood) as Jesus drank the cup of wrath and cried out being strengthened by the father to finish the work.. (the gospel )

He used Moses to represent the law giver that kills. When Moses was being led back to Egypt with his gentile wife Zipporah and son Gershom which means; "dwell, be a stranger": Because Moses did not honor the sign to the whole world represented by Egypt in that parable. He used as a figure like that of Abraham and Isaac. The gospel hid in the parable. . a mediator was needed or death .

Zipporah moved twice by the Holy Spirit twice as two witnesses. She referred to him as a bloody husband. the husband to represent the bride the church. (Christ) She was like Gershom which again means; "dwell, be a stranger": Zipporah was a stranger from the promises. Then she found favor (faith). It is one reason why I believe we should be careful when entertaining angels or messengers of God. A person could use a blessing, or be one mutually .

Note. . . . . (Bold) below my added comment..

And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace. And the Lord said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand. And the Lord said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his (Mosses) feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. So he let him ( Moses) go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision. Exodus 4: 8-26

The same bloody husband used in all ceremonial laws that preached the gospel beforehand. . . the source of a living hope hidden from unconverted mankind.

I would think 1 Peter 1 points back to the Exodus 4 and can be applied to any ceremonial law as a shadow .It has been fulfilled and not abolished. We look back to the same glory representation beforehand . One new ceremonial law for this time period

1 Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

There are churches that teach through the Bible.

Matthew 26 tells about Jesus sending the apostles to the nations.
There are churches that teach through the Bible.

Matthew 26 tells about Jesus sending the apostles to the nations.
If your reference is Matt 26:16: Jesus is talking to Jews not gentiles. There were Jews living/dispersed throughout he world.

In Matt 28 where he actually say's go preach to All nations. This verse is post death, burial & resurrection. Prior to His once for all sin payment gentiles were without hope Eph 2:12.

Additional scriptural context:

Messiah's, earthly/walk, fleshly/ministry. Was to and only to the Jews = the circumcision.

Rom 15:8 I say that Messiah was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
(NOTE: Messiah came to preach to the circumcision (Jews only) & to fulfil promises made to the circumcision's fathers, NOT GENTILES)

Acts 10:28 Peter said unto them, Ye know how that it is an "unlawful" thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean
(NOTE: Peter tells Cornelius a gentile. "IT'S UNLAWFUL" for a Jew to keep company with a gentile)

Jews to include Jesus (the Canaanite woman Matt 15:26) referred to Gentiles as "dogs". (See Matt 7:6; Lk 16:21)

Gentiles were considered so ungodly, being in their presence could make a Jew ceremonially unclean (Jn 18:28)

Matt 10:5 Messiah sent forth the 12 & commanded them. To not go the Gentiles or into any city of the Samaritans
(NOTE: Samaritans were Jewish descendants from Ephraim and the half-tribe of Manasseh. They had inter married & were considered 1/2 breeds by the Jews. What part of DON'T go to GENTILES is unclear people?)

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(NOTE: Messiah is sent, & sends his disciples to, the lost sheep of the ""House of Israel"" NOT to GENTILES!)

Matt 15:24 Messiah answered & said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(NOTE: Messiah say's; He has been sent, ONLY, to the lost sheep of the ""House of Israel"" NOT GENTILES)

When Jesus speaks to a Jew, He is addressing a praiser of God. In other words He is addressing all who praise God……….Paul elaborates on this in Romans.

The kingdom of heaven has nothing to do with the corrupted earthly kingdoms of this world .The kingdom comes not by observation .

We can see that in a parable in Mathew 24. The disciples were continually given parables and the gospel unseen understanding hid from them .This is in order to teach how to walk by faith not looking to what the yes see . Many times that can be seen when the Son of man was here. He lived his whole life as a living parable spoken through his Son in these last days.. His life was used in that way without parables he spoke not . Again I would offer Mathew 24 is no exception. After walking out of the temple made with human hands the pagan foundation for the "last time". The disciples were confused . Like perhaps thinking Jesus did not see it all the glory of the hands of men or perhaps was not paying attention .They desired he take another look .He answered them by moving to the highest surrounding mountain to represent all the kingdom of the world. Spoken of in Revelation the kingdoms of this will become His kingdoms in the new order .The meaning of the parable

The context from the prior chapter 23 must be looked at. There the Holy Spirit is condemning what they held so dearly (1st John 2:16 of the father of lies) .The lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh , the temporal power of false pride.

The rebuke making what the eyes see the temporal temple. The abomination of desolation . A corruptible image in the Holy place unseen place of faith reserved for the unseen father in heaven opening up the way to holiness the unseen . The time of reformation had come the shadows disappeared . The Holy Spirit made that desolation that previously made like he does not exist .

Jesus never gave them a direct answer seeing he does not number them .But desire we walk by faith .Sign of the times yes just as in the days of Noah .But no sign as a wonder source of faith. He will come in Spirit on the last day like a thief in the might .We can watch knowing he is coming but he will still come in the twinkling of the eye we will be changed .

23 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. 24 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Mathew 23: 36---Mathew 24: 8

I think we could look at the passage in Mark and compare the spiritual understanding to the unseen understanding .Faith to faith. It would seem Jesus from the tribe of Judah fled to the mountains ending the series of parable in verse 1 of chapter 26.

Matthew 26:1 King James Version (KJV) And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

A picture of him defining the abomination of desolation

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
