To the Canadian Family here:

For a few personal reasons I have always liked Canada. Until recently it has just been an aquaintanceship, but recently there has been a big change in my life here online.

I have discovered the Rick Mercer Report, and I am an avid fan. I have seen the OPP, the RCMP, the many services including forestry, marine and land protectors, not to omit the sky folks, the Canadian AF.

I always liked Canadians, but now the more I see of them and hear them, the more I fell I prefer them to most. I know I should not be partial, but with Canadians it is hard not to be.

Oh, my one undle, deceased, was the head of the Canadian shooting group that went to Japan in the last century. It was an associated event at that time. No matter, may you all be the same always as regards your beautiful humanity. God bless Canada and the wonderful people......j
Banff National Park in Canada is my favorite.

Should a Christian fear the coronavirus the same way the world fears It,giving the virus utmost Importance like not going to church for fear of getting the virus?
Rather than fear the coronavirus if you were prone to fear than be fearful of the common flu strain in the US which has affected 19 million and resulting in 10,000 deaths. This current 'crisis' is an exercise in political correctness in the extreme. If anything, fear the government which has the power that imposes unnecessary restrictions that severely disrupt the quality of life and will ruin people financially for years to come.

I have always loved seeing images of Banff. Something I have joyfully noticed about the great C is how people who have immigrated from countries other than the UK usually maintain their family names. It seems many do these days in the US also, but this has not always been so.
Watching the very informative, yet at times downright comic, reports from R Mercer, I have had my eyes opened more and more. I also like how in the series, "Mrdoch Mysgteries," learning how William Murdoch invented so many of our familiar inventions used today (just kidding.). It is a good show.
Thanks for seeing..

I say avoid cbn for awhile too. It's all Corona this and that and the commenters are all having "Prophetic dreams" about the end times...just like last year and the year before that and the year before that...

I was curious to what you meant by political correctness?

The latest terms such as social distancing, self-quaranteen, etc. People that promote that try to make people feel guilty if they chose to step out into the world such as going to work or even shopping. Whole thing is a bunch of crap and will accomplish next to nothing except to cause a recession. 10,000 confirmed cases of coronaviruis, 150+ deaths, mostly elderly in poor health. Current flu strain in the US - 19,000,000 confirmed cases, 10,000+ deaths. That's the real health emergency and it's ignored by the media, probably because it's not as glamorous as coronavirus. Much ado about nothing.

I hate to hear such a dark and negative view of a disease no one understands being called political correctness when people listen and do what doctors are telling them to do.

Remember a young person can have this virus and not know It and go around someone old that may be their grandmother that they love and cause them to get morbidly Ill.

love covers a multitude of sins.

I think people are taking precautions and thats a good thing, not trying to make people feel guilty.
We had fair warning about it.

It is heading into cold/flu season anyway, this time last year I remember I started having it. And this was BEFORE the govt recongnised it would be a problem...we simply dont have enough sick days when it hits. 5 days is not enough days to recover from it, it can persist up to two weeks, and by that time, it spreads even further. Every year there will be some new strain that we dont have a vaccine for yet, and our most vulnerable, the elderly are susceptible.

Speaking of the lock-down.

Today is day 14 of the lock-down here in Spain. I walk my dog every day well before sunup. Aside from that and working around my bungalow within the confines of my padlocked garden, I have not gone anywahere since day two.
The fact is, being retired, I hardly go anywhere far ever these days. Ordinarily I make one to three trips a week to various grocers, howeve4r that has been due to taking advantage of sales and keeping a well stocked larder.

I have scheduled my next grocery shopping for Tuesday next, Yahweh willing. Looking for bargains during this lock-down is out of the squestion, so I will simply fill in my larder vacancies as best possible.

One thing that is so very pleasant is the quiet and lack of traffic on the streets. No people out when walking the little one, and dthis is reassuring that so many, almost all, are staying in to avoic spreading contaminations or getting them.

Praise God for He is worthy no we. Thank Him in all matters, even when they look most glum…..He has His ways and His will is always good. God bless all in Yeshua-Jesus, and all who will come to Him, amen.

In the 1880s Dodge City had several Tea Rooms and an Ice Cream Parlour where rich Victorian Ladies met together.
Sadly there is no record of Wyatt Earp and company popping in for Tea and Cakes.
