I totally dig a man who cleans!!!
Sorry this is off-topic a bit, but I think I would classify myself as a semi-germophobe. My Mom has such a clean house that it borders on OCD. I just visited them recently and part of our agenda one day was dusting the floors--she has a special type of duster for each type of flooring (i.e., carpet, tile, wood, etc.) and a set time each week for each "stage" of cleaning--dust, vacuum, mop, etc. And those are just the floors.
One of my brothers would be exactly like her if he had the time--he yelled at me once for not sweeping all my hair off his bathroom floor when I came for a visit.
My other brother is the exact opposite--I went to check on him once in college--every inch of counter space was filled with something dirty, and he hadn't changed his cat box (two cats) in a month (or more). I couldn't stand it. Even though I was only there one night, I washed all his dishes, hosed down his counter, and (GULP) changed the cat litter (which was about as close to nuclear waste as you can get.)
Afterward, I promptly hosed down my feet and ankles with Lysol (it was THAT bad), then washed again with soap and water as hot as I could stand (twice).
I consider myself to be somewhere comfortably in the middle... I like to have things clean, organized, and yes, sanitary (as you can tell, I have a penchant for Lysol,) but they don't have to be absolutely sterile. (You could seriously perform major surgery on my Mom's kitchen counter... and her toilets are probably cleaner than most restaurant sinks--she cleans them 2-3 times a week, again, with special tools, cleansers, and accessories for each "stage" of cleaning.)
I guess this will loop around to being back on-topic after all--one plus about being single is not having to clean up after anyone (or be yelled at if I have any strands of hair on the floor.)
