Well up to you to see if scripture supports that....

1 Corinthians 9:

23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Paul said we are in a RACE.
Look at verse 27 from the Greek:

ἀλλὰ ὑπωπιάζω μου τὸ σῶμα καὶ δουλαγωγῶ, μή πως ἄλλοις κηρύξας αὐτὸς ἀδόκιμος γένωμαι.
27 but I am belaboring my body and leading it into slavery, lest somehow, when heralding to others, I myself may become disqualified."

^
Paul said we could become DISQUALIFIED if we do not keep ourselves in SUBMISSION to God!

That proves OSAS is Baloney!

Agreed. But I would add 2 more to the definition

Knowledge – an intellectual content to believe. This includes knowledge of God, Christ, sin and faith as found in the Bible. Faith is limited by knowledge for one cannot believe what one does not know. The source of knowledge is: Romans 10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself). Some believe the message must come from men; others would say the message, though coming from man is actuated by the Spirit for otherwise it falls on death ears.

Agreement/Assent to the Truth – the wholehearted, emotional assent that the truth applies to the person himself. (Assent is conviction produced by evidence. Faith without evidence is irrational or impossible)

Trust – Faith has a volitional aspect. In the trust aspect, knowledge has passed to assent, acceptance or approval, and from acceptance/approval it goes to volitional trust, surrender and reliance. All of this is actuated by the testimony of the Spirit for it is spiritually discerned. 2 Timothy 1:12b Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. Of special and indisputable significance of the volitional trust, surrender and submission of the person who exercises faith in God is the expression “to obey,” a synonym for saving faith

Doesn't matter is something is Calvinistic. Is it truth is the important thing.

Calvinism believes: God ordains every things that happens down to each molecule. He does this by causing something to occur or permitting it to occur. (I agree with this, but I opinion doesn't make it correct though)

Hmmm ... that are a lot of other theories ... some think God created the universe and sits back and watches to see what will happen
some think God intervenes at times
In regards to salvation a majority think God looks into the future to see what happens. ( I believe this to be false as it makes God knowledge dependent upon people and God sovereignty subservient to peoples will, that it breaks the law of causality, that is contradicts scripture, on and on.... but people smarter than I disagree)

Aside: Read a couple Systematic Theology books and you will probably double your knowledge
Brother, I blieve God is in control. But, your post leaves out something that knowledge doesn’t have and this is only by Holy Spirit. Discernment.

The race is not for salvation.

I was hoping you take a shot at the question ... Does God ever laugh.

Immutable, all knowing, impassible, transcendent .... just add those to the mix.
That's getting into impassibility, and I am not up to task on that subject. There are places in Scripture where God laughing is mentioned and believe it to be an anthropomorphism.

I should study that out, but right now I do not have an answer.

Well, you are usually quite harsh with those that may not agree with you. Besides that, in my attempts at humor I can come across as a jerk at times.
Nothing I stated was harsh in the conversation or context where your remark came in.

At the same time you had to look past an awful lot of harsh posts from others to insert that unwarranted comment into the conversation.

Pretty much unnecessary on your part.

And yes, you're correct.

And was there any mention of repentance in that post you responded to? Is there a limit to God' forgiveness?

And the poster @preacher4truth slandered @Lightskin in that post who was a frequent visitor to this thread.
Someone who choose to admit his shortcomings on another thread and now he uses it against the person.
Is that not the epitome of self-righteousness!!

And the poster also slandered the OP of this thread @dcontroversal ... go back and read and you will see someone slinging mud, why because some people dare to stand up to the false tenets of Calvinism.

Yes, the poster you responded to walks in the "rarefied atmosphere" of being a member of the elite who will persevere and they are excused in all the little sins they commit each day.
Amen, sister. And for the record, @Lightskin is doing very well these days.

Try talking to Him and say something that brings Him joy.

This was supposed to be an answer to Freddy and preacher. Screwed it up. Sorry.
