About 10 or 15 years ago God spoke to me...
yes

He spoke to YOU

He also speaks to others. I am sure we all do not receive understanding that is universal and this forum is proof enough of that

I do wish people would quit thinking God has given them a message for everyone when quite possibly it may be something the person is dealing with personally. For example, if I 'feel' God wants me to never eat chocolate again, (ok maybe not too much) is that something everyone should follow?

If someone wants to HEAR personally from God and receive PERSONAL instruction, they have a Bible...God's gift to us wherein He speaks to us and the Holy Spirit reveals to us the truth therein

and if God said to me, "only one of you can be saved, out of me and you", i would choose you.
I do appreciate the sentiment, but Jesus died for all who believe, so we both can be saved. 😊

No need for you to make a sacrifice.

Jesus already did.

(Please note this thread is just for fun and is not intended to be taken literally)
So lets say you have USD $1000000 in your bank account, what would you do with all that money ?
I would never keep that in any bank account

and neither would anyone else with that kind of money

that much money could be a blessing or a curse depending on a person's truth and whether or not their commitment to Christ is real

So, I am not a Bible expert, and thank God for that.

And I gave up the Old Testament after God opened my eyes to the Mount of Transfiguration and Jesus cursing the fig tree.

But,

pretty sure in the 'Bible' God didn't speak to Abraham after he was about to sacrifice Isaac.
He was then called a 'friend' of God, not a 'child' of God.
God don't want no robots! - what good is that? - where is the LIFE in robots?

And Moses had to take off his sandals to stand on hallowed ground but Jesus wore sandals...

I don't think God would have someone give up the Old Testament, since the Bible is the Word of God, and we are warned not to add or subtract anything from it. (Rev. 23:18)

In fact, the Bible says that if we take away from His words, He will take away from our place in the Book of Life.

God!, it's so simple.

But no one gets it.
that, is called a false dilemma

what you are saying, is either everyone believes in you, or they are lost and do not know God

this type of 'argument is entertained by those who have only one viewpoint...their own and most people see that, and just shrug

either God has saved others besides you, or you alone know the truth...which would kind of upset the writers of scripture who believe that Jesus holds the option on that one

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. -the Word of God is JESUS, not the Bible.

and in doing that, He saved us ALL.

Jesus saved EVERYONE.
Only those who believe in Him

otherwise, the term is called universalism and that is not in the Bible

Jesus died for all but not all accept Him

Revelation 22: 18, 19 -- For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

2 Timothy 3:16 -- All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Yes, Jesus is the Word Made Flesh, but Jesus's life and death is not meant to do away with the presence or validity of the Bible, because the Bible is the written Word of God.

Two different versions of God's Word, but both having the same source (God), with neither one cancelling out the other.

No

You're wrong.

He died for all of us, no matter what.

And that is why I love Him and can't wait to meet Him.

If anyone did get left out, then I won't be there, I'll be with the one who was left out.

Do you get it yet?

I will do my best to take only what I need,
And I will love my neighbor as myself.

And if God wants something different from me...
Then He is my enemy!

perhaps try reading without bias

I said Jesus did die for all, BUT not all have or will accept Him

if you think everyone is saved, as some do, that is called universalsim and that is not what scripture teaches

so tell me and anyone else we are wrong, but you simply magnify your own lack of knowledge and actual scripture
