Got it. So, since you are unwilling to do what the scriptures instruct us to do in rightly dividing the word of truth and compare the whole Bible with the whole Bible to make sure we have correct doctrine, then what more is there for me to say? And if you consider comparing scripture with scripture as fiddling with the gospel, then, again, it seems our discussion is halted here.
Fair enough. You’re free to stop replying while I try to undo some of the damage you’ve done.

John 3:16
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
And there are people who say Lord, Lord, I believe in you but I don't believe in all you say. What pf Christ, then, is it they believe in?

As far as whether everyone who believes will be saved goes if we are to take the title of the thread at face value I would say no not everyone is. A true born again believer will flourish in love and all the fruits of the spririt they are a garden that cannot be contained always growing more and more to the brink of spilling over but there are those who are religous and this is not the same thing. Yes they believe in God and that Jesus died and rose again they know the bible they go to church they pray but they have no love in them they are like stone cold and hard on others they preach more on sin than anything else and they do not bring people closer to God rather they pull others away from him by putting them down pointing out every flaw and sin without seeing their own.
There is a vast difference between a Christian by title and a Christian by heart

Did the thief on the cross know all that Jesus said or did he just believe in Christ as Savior? I think there’s the answer. The thief went to paradise for just believing.

When we are saved our mortal body dead in sin is born again and made into a body for eternal life. Being baptized in living water explains it. We enter the water deep in sin and the living water of Christ washes the sin all away , we are a changed person. We still have the mortal urge to like sin, but Christ within overpowers it with His will not to sin and we repent. We now let Christ minister to us and lead our lives with faith in that leadership. The sermon on the mount becomes Christ taking our hand and directing our paths. That is being saved so we live eternally. The kingdom of heaven is our true home, we just reside in the world temporarily.
Not quite. When we became saved, it was only in our soul existence, our earthly body did not benefit one iota.

John 6:63 (KJV 1900)
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Only our dead soul was resurrected back to life upon salvation. We are still stuck in this body of sin and death. This is evident because true believers still die physically. This happens because death is the payment for sin. It isn't until the last day that our corrupted bodies will become incorruptible and immortal.

Romans 7:24–25 (KJV 1900)
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Until then, we have the same struggle that Paul speaks about. Or inner man desires to do good but our sin tainted corrupted flesh still wants to do evil. This is why we must discipline our bodies and bring it under subjection to the will of God, because naturally, it desires sin, even for a child of God.

Romans 7:14–15 (KJV 1900)
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

“Love your neighbor as yourself” sets the bar for loving others as much as people love themselves - meaning everyone starts their loving-their-neighbor-as-themselves career at different stages. Our judgments about how much someone appears to love others isn’t a valid standard for gauging who is a true Christian or not; just leave that up to God to decide.

There you have it. Since John 3:16 is true then the opposite can’t be true. Meaning “not everyone who believes will be saved” is your false doctrine.

We can have Bible discussions, but fiddling with the gospel is not a good idea. Let me remind you of this passage:

Galatians 1:8-9
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Scripture is true. But it seems to me you are misreading God, and that is serious. There are those who say Lord, Lord and all they are doing in the Lord's name and God doesn't even know them. To believe in Christ is to accept His word.

There are unrighteous people who go to Christ for forgiveness without repentance but hold tight to their unrighteousness, saying they believe Christ can save them. Yet scripture says
  • 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.

How is that misreading God? I’m literally saying that John 3:16 is true and that the opposite of John 3:16 is false.

These posts are not aimed at judging others or taking over what is only God's to do. These posts are Christians getting together to try working out what is the true interpretation of what the Lord says.

I see we have different perspectives. You may have started this thread, but you don’t own this thread per se. Others are free to discuss what they feel lead to say. I am on topic; the specific points I’m addressing are that salvation comes from believing in Christ with faith.

Even so there are plenty of false Christians out there that is a reality I even knew a man who is in prison now because he killed a gay person saying he was an abomination to God and to be honest some of the most judgemental and cruel people I have ever met were so called Christians. The wheat and the tare look the same but the seeds of wheat is edible while the tares seeds are poisonous

The Bible says this:

Acts 2:21
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

That means calling on the name of the Lord is a valid path to being saved. Those who call on the name of the Lord have faith in the Lord.
Not once we compare scripture with scripture and learn that in one's unsaved condition that no one calls upon God.

Isaiah 64:7 (KJV 1900)
And there is none that calleth upon thy name, That stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: For thou hast hid thy face from us, And hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

So, now the Bible forces us to dig deeper for clarity and harmony. This teaches us that taking any single verse at face value is a mistake. That's like looking at a single puzzle piece and trying to figure out what the whole picture is.

Judging how much someone loves isn’t how we determine who a “true born again believer is.”

This a bible forum here’s a thought why don’t we let the Bible Speak!
If we are going to speak about the heart shouldn’t we know what the Bible says the heart is?
Thoughts come from your mind not that pump in your chest. When the Bible speaks about the heart is talking about your Mind!

Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Mark 7:21 that was in red by the way, straight out the Lords mouth)

Love: according to wait for it the Bible!
Love: 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (grievous = not hard)
Love: 2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

So what should we do with these scriptures? You Scholars out there! Redact them?

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
What should we do with these scripture? Redact them?
This is nuts so- Christians refusing to keep Gods Laws!

Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Everything you stated here is true and has been covered in this thread. The heart is used parabolically to typify the mind. And our love towards God's work of salvation in his children is demonstrated by our obedience to his commandments.

Isaiah 64:7 is about a different context. The Bible does not contain contradictions so Isaiah 64:7 doesn’t apply the same way as Acts 2:21.

Correct. As a matter of fact, there is no way to determine who a true believer is. God describes it this way.

John 3:8 (KJV 1900)
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so
(in like manner) is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Salvation is between God and the individual whom he has saved. This is how God gives us our assurance.

Psalm 35:3 (KJV 1900)
Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

This is why we always had to hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Lamentations 3:26 (KJV 1900)
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

And in God's own time, he saved those he has chosen to save.

Are you judging people and falsely accusing them of not believing scripture. You need to read further in the word, it defines the word believe. What of Christ do you believe in?

Claiming something is about a different context is the easy way out. But if you look at it again, the context is about mankind's sinful condition who does not call upon the name of the Lord nor stir himself up to take hold of God. Therefore, since this is the condition of mankind before salvation, then something has to happen to cause mankind to call upon the name of the Lord. What is it?

We are drawn to him and for me at least it took me ebing at my worst being compeltely broken to the point I saw my life as trash and didn't care if I lived or died. Perhaps it sometimes takes a true brokeness to have a truly repentant heart
