I was taught as you have shared, that the gift of salvation is the same for everyone regardless of when in life someone comes to Christ. That said, I also like with others have shared about this parable ~ which happens to be my favorite.
yes I was wondering because I wanted to offer a thought that many of the different parables are about the same subjects sort of repetitive to create a pattern of thought in us
whereas some might think each parable is teaching a completely different thing about a different subject. I’m not sure if that makes sense , but if it does , one could see how this would greatly simplify , the complexity of what Jesus is really teaching us in his words that he sent into the world
what I mean is repetition and diversity of example is the best teacher
“
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
Isaiah 55:3 KJV
“Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
Isaiah 51:4-5 KJV
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him:
he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles….: he shall bring forth
judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged,
till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.”
Isaiah 42:1, 3-4 KJV
“But he answered and said, It is written,
Man shall not
live by bread alone, but
by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

“
It is written in the prophets, And
they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father,
cometh unto me.”
John 6:45 KJV
“Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:24 KJV
“He that
rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:
the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
For I have not spoken of myself; but
the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
John 12:48-50 KJV
“It is
the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
…..Then Simon Peter answered him,
Lord, to whom shall we go?
thou hast the words of eternal life.”
John 6:63, 68 KJV
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free.
… Verily, verily, I say unto you,
If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.”
John 8:31-32, 51
“Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is
the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 14:23-26 KJV

this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Matthew 24:14 KJV
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even
unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Therefore they that were scattered abroad
went every where preaching the word.”
Acts 8:3-4 KJV
“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day,
witnessing both to small and great,

that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should
shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”
Acts 26:22-23 KJV
“And
Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
Acts 28:30-31 KJV
Sorry what I’m saying is it’s a repetitive simple message that Gods been saying all along rather than complex message we need to figure out I’m not sure I’m making myself clear but anyways sorry for the length I think it’s a good thought to consider how repetitive the Bible’s message is for us to hear and believe what God said will give us life
