I really think there's a learning curb, in understanding exactly how prophecies are fulfilled.

Or not understandung or not seeing a prophecy in the old testament.

Isaiah is famous for prohesy one being the coming of the lord.😊

Look I'm going to explain it one last time
Prohesy and a true story in the old t
Isaiah 10
Woe to those who make unjust laws,
to those who issue oppressive decrees,
2 to deprive the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,
making widows their prey
and robbing the fatherless.

Notice the words unjust people above forcing unjust laws,
Which is also refering to unjust Judges, then notice widows not being treated appropriately or unbelievers.

Now let's look where this prophecy was fulfilled.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow luke
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth.

Now can you see that this parable is a true story not fictional.
Not a perception of a idea but actually Jesus speaking through those unjust Judges.
No, Jesus is pointing that LOOK, Evil, can do the Right thing if Evil is being bothered.
But GOD, our Father, wants to do for us because He Loves us, not because we are a bother to Him. He Died to Prove that Love.

you are, ummmm, practicing deception.

Peter walking on water was a literal event recorded in scripture. it was not a Parable. You asked what I thought was a "Parable" if it was fictional.

"Some people are suggesting the parable of the op is only fictional."
What's your take on that. ?

Jesus said why he spoke in parables, you will find that in Matthew chapter 13.

10 Jesus’ disciples came and said to him, “Why do you use parables when you speak to the crowds?”

11 Jesus replied, Because they haven’t received the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but you have.
12 For those who have will receive more and they will have more than enough. But as for those who don’t have, even the little they have will be taken away from them.
13 This is why I speak to the crowds in parables: although they see, they don’t really see; and although they hear, they don’t really hear or understand.
14 What Isaiah prophesied has become completely true for them:

You will hear, to be sure, but never understand;
and you will certainly see but never recognize what you are seeing.
15 For this people’s senses have become calloused,
and they’ve become hard of hearing,
and they’ve shut their eyes
so that they won’t see with their eyes
or hear with their ears
or understand with their minds,
and change their hearts and lives that I may heal them.[a]

16 “Happy are your eyes because they see. Happy are your ears because they hear. 17 I assure you that many prophets and righteous people wanted to see what you see and hear what you hear, but they didn’t.

THe reason for Parable are what Jesus said :) Nothing more, nothing less.
A parable is also a story that teaches a spiritual lesson, that is also discussed in a manner of somebody who lives by a set of morals, that's a spiritual truth.
Jesus was explaining his morals in the parable.

His morals had been broken and he brought justice.
His parable was spiritual truth based on Isaiah 10.
The spiritual truth was Jesus visited those unjust Judges in spirit and spoke through them.

The parable starts with in a certain town certainly. Then it finished with listen to what the unjust judge said.
No where in this parable does it state, no justice was brought or it never happend or it was a fairy tale.

Have you ever seen an unjust cough befor they spoke, then he spoke differently changed his mind, I have.

I asked you about Peter to make you see the spiritual truth somewhere else.

Which is Jesus can do anything, he is the keeper of souls, he can take you anywhere in spirit, even walking on water.

You wouldn't walk on water in body, it would be in spirit.
You couldn't do that alone.
Which means
Jesus can take control of your spirit which is also your mind and tongue.

This is how prohesying works.
Jesus literally talks through your mouth.

Isaiah 10 probably had Jesus talking through his mouth.

Then Jesus talked through the mouths of the unjust Judges mouths, and woe.
The people got Justice at long last.

I'm sorry for not fully revealing the prophecy sooner, the lord told me to withhold.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow Luke.
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ ( this lady was also praying for God to speak).

4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”

6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says (the born again athiest where The spirit had spoke through him.);. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Here is where the true story is found.

Isaiah 10

Woe to those who make unjust laws,
to those who issue oppressive decrees,
2 to deprive the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,
making widows their prey
and robbing the fatherless.

See above you see the unjust and widows.

Ok friend😊 is it still fictional now.
How is this prophecy?

That there will be unjust people?
That they may through deceit feign goodness to their own vain ends?

Wow, lo and behold, people are wicked. they have been ever since Genesis 4 and will be till the end of the earth.

smh

I can follow the thread of your logic exactly, but I don't know the case you're referring to. A judge might give a local widow monetary relief. An unjust judge might give the relief to a foreign agent. Which are unjust, the judge, in his personal character, or the written code of laws? Why is the judge unjust? Is he inconsistent in his enforcement of the Torah? Is it his integrity, and is it that his judgements respect the individual person? Is it his way of interpreting the statutes? Is it his ideology, which may well be in the eye of the beholder? Perhaps he legislates from the bench. How is he unjust? Is he always unjust, or only unjust in this case? Who is the widow, does she have an identity? Widows and judges are equally diverse, judges are different from each other as much as widows are.

I can follow the thread of your logic exactly,
we already "know" the parameter and specifics to the Parable in question. to include your hypothesis means we don't already know everything there is to know. in this case however, we know all we need to know. that is why you should have stopped where i have you quoted.

You need to ask God this.

I'll show you something

Jesus said this to the religious leaders of His day in Matthew

23:13, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go.

Do you see the same speech in Isaiah..

Do you even see Jesus speaking through Isaiah

Do you even See Jesus walking in the old testament.

Some people don't see Jesus walking in the old testament, but I feel he was. 😊

Old Testament = Future Messiah
New Testament = Messiah has Arrived

Genesis 19:
24 and Adonai rained sulfur and fire upon Sodom and Gomorrah from Adonai out of the sky.

He was on Earth in Old Testament many places before He came as Messiah in the New Covenant.

Yes, it's still fictional. Jesus was telling a parable, not making reference to a prophecy in Isaiah.

No, it's still a parable. Yes, Isaiah prophesied against unjust judges, and Jesus used an unjust judge in His parable, but that doesn't make the parable a fulfillment of the prophecy at all.

Please, take a class on rightly interpreting the Bible.

Isaih is the major prophet whose primary message is the description of the character of the Messiah as a man, what he will be like. It is the scroll from which a Bat Mitzvah candidate reads to show that he is ready for confirmation as a Jew. Jesus must have been referring to this one specifically because he was teaching a Jewish person who should have known that and would have been fully expected to know that. He had said at His own Bat Mitzvah, after reading this scroll, that He fulfilled the character of the Messiah described in Isaiah. That was expected, that's what a Bat Mitzvah is, it's conformation that the Hebrew scholar understands the nature of the person who will save Israel and means to internalize that character and imitate that character, being like that, following those laws, and so on. Bat Mitzvah is the same as Candlemas in Christianity.

Holy smokes.

The gift of prophecy is a gift from the holy spirit,

The prophecy will only come out of your lips because it's being spoken by the holy spirit to somebody who needs help in believing in God. It will be witnessed by two atheists and the prophecy will come true. The atheists will then go on to believe in God.

The prophecy will be spoken to an unbelieving athiest. Once the prophecy has come true the unbelieving person will hopefully believe God is real.

Once the prophecy has been spoken the Gift of prophecy has gone.

If you then go into another place where somebody needs help with believing, the gift of prophecy could come to you again, via the holy spirit speaking through you.

Once the prophecy is finished the gift is gone.

So basically you have recieved a gift and passed it on. But your no longer a prophet until a new gift of prophecy comes.

Let's look to scripture where a born again athiest can also have a prophesy spoke through them from the holy spirit.

All people who feel oppressed please feel to disagree with me.

The born again athiest who speaks a prophesy.

I might dismiss it if it appeared only once, but "Bat Mitzvah" is for girls; "Bar Mitzvah" is for boys. "Bar" is son of; "Bat" is daughter of.

A Bar Mitzvah, as least in modern Jewish culture, is a coming-of-age celebration where the boy demonstrates that he knows enough of the old covenant to function as an adult within the mores of Jewish society.

Candlemas? Never heard of it.

what we should do to solve this is first find where in the OT we have an evil person doing what is right out of evil motives.
How about Pharaoh letting the Hebrews leave Egypt?

Not because Pharaoh feared God, but so that Moses and Aaron will quit bugging him and God would quit plaguing him

this seems to me to fit the pattern in the parable pretty well.

so @Fundaamental what do you think this means?
