Great Job! 🥪😊👍
Now I want to see you go gar fishing while hanging out with a bunch of water snakes.
🎣😄🐍🐍🐊🐍
You deserve a song request for being so bold for the public review and taste test.

LoL, thanks!! :giggle:

And don't tempt me!! Those water snakes aren't a challenge. The razor sharp teeth of the gar is more problematic, but when you think about that tasty meat it doesn't seem to matter :p

I have tried the Vegemite. I put a thin layer on one piece of toast, a bit thicker layer on another piece, and a yet more thicker layer on a third piece. I didn't feel like I was getting enough of the flavor with the thinnest layer. I went for the third piece. At first I thought it was tasty, but the third or forth bite was kinda intense. So I went for the second piece (which in the image I included in my post above would be the 'Vegemite for Regular Consumers' piece). I do not give it a thumbs down. I'm not necessarily ready to give it a thumbs up. It's not bad, but I'm not at that "I can't wait to have more" stage. I will be trying it again, with the 'Regular Consumers' amount.

I recorded myself having the Vegemite if anyone feels like watching that. I don't know how long I will keep this video up. I have not recorded a video in years and I've only ever recorded a video for one person at a time, not more than one person...so I'm a bit apprehensive about posting this. Then I thought, "What the heck."
Btw, I like being outside, so I recorded this outside. If you don't like sun rays or the outdoors, you might want to skip it.

I love! that you posted this video. I think I must've forgotten since then but, do I recall you mentioning that someone said that you sound somewhat like Julia Child? and I'd wanted to hear your voice ever since! You certainly have a very similarly smashing personality that people would definitely tune in to watch!

LoL, yes! Actually, a lot of people have said that I sound like Julia. When I used to work in retail, I'd step into the lounge for my break and get asked to do a Julia Child impersonation. One lady, bless heart, she never could remember my name so she just called me Julia
Even over the phone people would tell me I sound like Julia. I was doing clerical in accounting one day and a lady called me. She explained her problem and I'm asking her questions and researching. She stops and says, "You sound so familiar. It seems like I just heard your voice on tv, but can't remember who it was." I asked, "Julia?" She got excited, "Yes! Yes, that's it! You sound just like her!!" Okay okay, calm down lady

I was just thinking "I'm going to bring spam up as soon as I finish making this sandwich with sauerkraut," another item that will surely make no.1 on someone's list sooner than later.

I thought I was the only one. My family loves the stuff. I don’t understand how processed factory food sounds appetizing.

2. Kale
Comedian quote: "My dad's a big health nut and he's always doing stuff with kale for some reason. I was visiting one day and he said try these kale chips. You can't tell the difference from potato chips. So I tried one and immediately thought, ooooooh... You've forgotten what potato chips taste like."

4. Mayo with Spaghetti
Mayo is a poor excuse for butter, and should only be used when you want "creamy" but also want to avoid aggravating a dairy allergy. I use mayo at night, when I don't want my clogged sinuses keeping me awake all night. But I can't think of any spaghetti sauce or variation that wouldn't taste better with a little more butter.

6. Grapefruit Juice
Ah, but have you tried it in a mixed drink? Half grapefruit and half sierra mist soda, makes a wonderful drink. (What, you thought alcohol was going to come into this?) :p

3. Jelly/Jam
7. Unstirred Natural Peanut Butter without Salt
9. Pear
Good. More for me. The more people who like them, the higher the price goes, so I actually have a vested interest in other people not liking them. Especially pear jam mixed with natural peanut butter. Goes very well with my french toast.

I’ve never had a mixed grapefruit juice with Sierra Mist but I have had a squirt and they are okay. French toast is always amazing. I love that you put the comedy sketch in there. That made my night. I can officially go to sleep with a healed heart.

I don't mind it so much really, moderately portioned. I just know that isn't the general affinity towards it and, typically, one either loves it or hates it. it's not much different from hot dogs really, except a lot saltier, hence the sauerkraut pairs well with it. However, I hear tell that it is highly regarded in Hawaii, and I can understand that since Hawaii has an abundance of pineapple and imagine that goes well with spam, especially if both are sear charred.

I loved your video and it is great to see what you look like. Quite nice actually. Enjoyed your review of the Vegemite. Based on your review I am going to take a pass on trying this spread. Looks yucky. I commend your bravery on eating this stuff first and offering your critique. Definitely belongs on the Lake of Fire list.

Interesting accent there Carrie. Not Wisconsin, not Oklahoma, but quite distinctive and audible.

You have the face of one who is good at taking care of people. You have the voice of one who can get upset if you think you need to, but you don't like to. (That may not seem to make sense, but I know some people who DO like to get upset for some reason.) I get the impression you weigh your reactions before you react.
I agree with everything that you have said. Thoroughly enjoyed her video.

My family is from Hawaii which is probably why they like it so much. I seem to be the dark horse of the family or the shining light. They all like similar things and I am really picky and more strict, choosing healthier options. My family tends to shop for food like they never were educated about healthy options. So lots of sugary drinks at the house, while I have my tea area. Lots of junk food in the kitchen for them, while I have my steamed vegetable bags in the freezer. I didn’t live with them for years, as I moved into a pastors house for years and got to learn from him and his children who were my age. It was definitely a privilege that was orchestrated by God but I constantly deal with thinking I am being prideful for just having different standards. I even pay less for my food, even though I choose healthier options. I don’t understand why they and myself are so different. It’s like I was adopted… by God… haha

You're in good company if you're the "odd" one. Daniel asked for beans instead of steak, Jacob regarded a promise better than a quick lunch, and David was more worried about tending to sheep to even be aware that a line was forming for the next throne.

I sense the healing power of Jesus in these forums. I’m truly looking forward to what’s to come. You can sense that I’m speaking to those who may be more whole than I am and I can’t wait to continue to share my spirit with everyone here and learn from you all.

Hi Sean,

I've been reading a few of your posts and just wanted to say I'm really sorry for all you've been through. I'm very glad to hear that you are sorting things out with God's help. You are definitely not alone. Every person here has a story and tragedy/trauma they are working through, so you will definitely find people who can relate.

You are right in that you will run into opposition here, but we also have a great group of people you'll get to know as you hang out in the threads (right now we've been spending a lot of time in the Singles and Family parts of the forum, but also sometimes Miscellaneous.)

Sometimes our conversations are serious, sometimes silly, and sometimes downright obnoxious. But it all works together to help us get to know each other, carry each other's burdens through prayer, and even have a good laugh -- which is what I'd like to think good quality fellowship is all about. :)

Welcome in and we're glad you're here!
