The way I understand the gospel:
The Holy Spirit convicts of our sins by bring our transgression of the law to our attention, then we request forgiveness daily from Jesus for our sins i.e transgression of the law. This is justification.
The second step is sanctification, a lifetime of following the promptings of the Holy Spirit and receiving not only forgiveness of our sins but also the ability to resist every temptation presented by Satan as we grow in faith.
The third step is glorification which will be given to us at the return of Jesus.

Yes, the wages of all sin is death- God's version, not mans. The Sabbath is all throughout the NT, still a commandment Luke 23:56, kept faithfully by everyone we are to follow.
