What boggles the mind is that "they" are quick to loosely interpret verses that plainly teach a post-trib thousand year millennial kingdom, but "they" insist on the strictest adherence to scripture relating to satan being bound so he cannot "deceive the nations". "They" are so screwed up with "their" "amillennial stuff" and all the rationalism "they" have to use to make things fit "their" warped interpretation of scripture that "they" ignore plainly written scripture which does teach dispensationalism. We are suppose to believe that because "they" have done "their" homework that "they" know what they are talking about and should be honored for their error and constant misunderstanding of the scriptures because "they" won't submit to dispensations truth. "They" are way out there and maybe one day will come back to the truth that "they" blindly refuse to hear.

...just sayin'.
Oops........ My apologies, Red. I read too fast and responded too quickly without realizing what you were saying. Sorry.

It is future.

Dead people are DEAD. Our hope (if we die before the rapture) is in being resurrected FROM THE DEAD. "The DEAD in Christ shall rise first". -NOBODY- has been raised to eternal life except Christ.

They WERE souls. John saw them in a vision, by revelation.

The first resurrection is future, at the very end of the trib.

Yes. Dead. In the grave.

The Christian church (dead and alive) will be resurrected or changed and get their new bodies at the rapture. OT believers and trib believers at the first resurrection.

People DIE, zone. The hope is in being resurrected, which will happen in the future.

...looks like we're a bajillion miles apart.
where did enoch and elijah go?
who was standing on the Mt of Transfiguration with Jesus?

in your fantasy scenario where everything happens in the millennium, how does Rev 20 fit your version of the first resurrection (which it states clearly those people have attained)?

and in your scenario, then, with all the bad guys in their graves for 1,000 years, WHO IS ALIVE AND PROCREATING DURING THE MILLENNIUM?

alongside disembodied souls (no second resurrection yet) and a glorified Christ?

and since Rev says all who take the mark go in the lake of fire, why would they bungle through 1,000 years with it just to go into the lake?

what if this is the first resurrection? what if after you die and God wishes He raises the dead and has them reign with Him NOW in Heaven? Since Satan was tossed out of Heaven and is BOUND from going up there again.

or do you think Satan can still access God's throne?
that's exactly what happens....The Kingdom is active NOW in heaven and on earth.
they are nearer than we know....and vice versa.

when you die, that's where you go. at the Second Advent the dead in Christ )asleep) who are with Him now come with Him to "rapture the rest"/Resurrection (bodies)Judgment/New Heavens...New Jerusalem.

Hi Ananda, I dont believe that was the first resurrection, I believe it was dead bodies raised back to life so that the Lord would be glorified and that the people would believe and realize what had truly happened.

You are asking the wrong people here because you already know that they will jump on the opportunity and claim that YES, SATAN IS BOUND!,,
If you read Rev. 19 and onwards it is crystal clear that satan is bound AFTER Christ returns to earth with the saints. There is nothing they can say to dispute this, although they will of course try. Dont buy into this amillenial junk.
oh please. we dont need to "jump on" anything.
go read SuperDave's post, do some homework on it for heaven's sake.

its not that hard

Shroom....what did the writer mean in the first verse...

6) But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Was he letting the Hevrews know about a better covenant for their future ancestors in 2000 years or was he talking about now?
excellent doc.
Amen, thank You Lord You are Our Mediator.

The chapters of Rev are not in chronological order.

They are a set of visions that often describe the same period of time more than once.
right.
sometimes called progressive parallelisms,
or recapitulation,
or as Still mentioned, the NEAR/FAR portions of visions/prophecies

Satan has no more hold over death and hell (it is finished) Jesus on the cross/... Satan cannot tempt and deceive anymore ( it is done) Jesus after his return. only then is he bound. Sin still abounds because satan is still
around....dont you get it?
how many times must we ask you to refer ONLY to the texts in this matter and stop projecting your imagination into God's important message.

please actually READ IT

and see the one thing he is restricted from doing.

Since the new covenant is for Israel, and it's quite obvious the things described are not in place, he is talking about the future.
ridiculous.
that means you got no Saviour either.

Do you believe this is in effect NOW?
10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11) And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

I sure don't see it, but maybe you live in a better neighborhood that I do.

The same? No.

As you noted earlier, Hebrews is addressing Israel, the Jews. God has a plan for Israel, which was interrupted by this dispensation of grace. The old and new covenants concern Israel, not Christians.
huh?
DISPENSATION OF GRACE?

PLAN INTERRUPTED?

BY WHAT? THE rejection and death of Jesus?????

get serious. nothing was interrupted. that's BLASPHEMY. classic DARBY/SCOFIELD DISPIE LIES!!!! the Kingdom was NOT postponed....NO PLAN B!

Daneil 9 is fulfilled and some natural branches WERE CUT OFF...gentiles grafted in.

they can be grafted back in if THEY BELIEVE.

BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH. END OF STORY.

no second chances for anybody.

1 John 2:26-27
King James Version (KJV)
26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

John 14:26
King James Version (KJV)
26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

And all of Romans 8
good one Mikey

What boggles the imagination is the tenacity they use against those that believe in the gift of apostles and prophets or anyone that speaks a word of prophecy, yet they are so screwed up with this 'amillennial stuff' and all the rationalization they have to utilize just to make things fit into their warped understanding by taking so many things out of context and certain time frames of dispensation, that if they could they would put us back under Noahide laws and try to put the church inside the ark for safe keeping. We are suppose to believe that because they have done their homework that they know what they are talking about and should be honored for their error and constant misunderstanding of the scriptures because they won't submit to dispensations truth. They are way out there and maybe one day will come back to the truth that they have forsaken.
you never even heard of them til i came here warning you. and put up with all your unbelief and ridicule back then too.

unless you're one of them.

wow Red. you're really something.

i guess i made to the right call after all concerning you.

The church is one of the fruits of the New Covenant. It would be impossible for the New Testament church to exist apart from the New Covenant. The New Covenant produces new hearts through the ministry of the Holy Spirit:

2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone, 3 revealing that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18).

So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away - look, what is new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
such beautiful passages....such wonderful REALITY.

denied by Dispensationalism.

there's no end to what they have to ERASE.

this kind of thing DID NOT ABRAHAM.

where did enoch and elijah go?
They died. It says in Heb 11:13) These all died in faith, not having received the promises.

Enoch was translated (moved by God) so he would not see death (be killed). Elijah was taken into heaven (the air) to punctuate the transfer of power to Elisha. Elijah eventually died. All men die.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die,

who was standing on the Mt of Transfiguration with Jesus?
It was a vision, as it plainly says in Mat 17:9.

in your fantasy scenario where everything happens in the millennium, how does Rev 20 fit your version of the first resurrection (which it states clearly those people have attained)?
Where it is "clearly stated" that enoch, elijah, and moses have attained the first resurrection? The first resurrection is still future.

and in your scenario, then, with all the bad guys in their graves for 1,000 years, WHO IS ALIVE AND PROCREATING DURING THE MILLENNIUM?
People who made it through the trib, people raised in the first resurrection, and us, will be alive. The folks who made it through the trib will be procreating.

alongside disembodied souls (no second resurrection yet) and a glorified Christ?
Not sure what you mean.

and since Rev says all who take the mark go in the lake of fire, why would they bungle through 1,000 years with it just to go into the lake?
They won't. They will be killed in Armageddon and later raised and judged at the great white throne judgement..

In the millennial kingdom will be Christians, those raised at the first resurrection, and those who made it through the trib. And Christ reigning as king, of course. Christians and those raised at the first resurrection will have their spiritual bodies, and everlasting life, those who made it through the trib will still have soul-based bodies. They'll be the one's procreating, and dying (albeit at a much older age). Isaiah 65:17ff.

Yup...fellowship sounds great...debating is also good...but picking out only a select few who happen to agree with your theory is not and treating those who disagree as stupid is not. Thats whats going on here. Of that i want no part. And trying to be shipped off to read someone else's thread or post to "help me understand" just goes to show that there is very little tolerance to discuss in a nice and loving manner. Thats all. This is a thread about amill. And if you just want those in here who agree with this theory, then why bother opening it up in the first place? Just make a yahoo group and then you can keep us dumb and ignorant people out. ;)
