not sure about that, the RCC changed it, the Sabbath is still the Sabbath.
You at present do not understand.

Much to learn. If you desire to learn sound doctrine.

Many hate sound doctrine....

2 Timothy 4:3a...

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine.
NIV

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine...
21st Century King James Version

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction...
Amplified Bible

And, many other translations agree!

Look here! https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/2 Timothy 4:3

Christians who live by their subjective emotions will get away from sound teaching!

It is a good thing...

For, every time I see an X encircled in red, I know at least you read what God wanted you to be aware of.

Then, at the evaluation before the Lord there will be no excuse used of ignorance....

See? It is a good thing!

It makes God's judgment simpler. 1738714843911.jpeg

Yes, he did stop.... After they served their purpose.
I have no doubt that God stopped creating miracles for you.

But I saw a miracle that even the doctors claimed was a miracle just a week ago because I am in the Will of the Father unlike those who no longer see God working.

On occasion... He will provide for me what could be called his grace support.
As a baby, I might have called it a miracle.
It's just called a normal walk with God when you become adjusted.

Are you a baby Christian?
That can shed light on this discussion if I knew you are.

LOL

I have been in the Ministry since I was age 5, over 50 years now. You are the most uninformed person I have ever communicated with. Considering I have been sharing Jesus to non educated believers for nearly my entire life. I can safely say they knew more about God than you do.

When we think about the Gifts of the Spirit of God we see it all began in the era that Paul called the Gentile Reign. And we know when the Gentile Reign ends that is basically when we believe the Rapture happens. So it truly seems that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit of God is designated for the era known as the Gentile Reign. And there's no reason to believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit of God won't continue until the Gentile Reign ends.

Actually, it makes sense that the entire Gentile Reign is all about the Holy Spirit of God and the Gifts. After all, the majority of people still being saved today are GENTILES.

Yes... That is true.
For they do know more about God, as you would want them to know God.

But, as Christians, we are not to remain non-educated.

For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ but their own emotions,
and by ingratiating and flattering speech, they beguile the hearts of
the unsuspecting and simpleminded [people].
Romans 16:18

And, some notes taken from a Bible lesson by my pastor. (who is well educated)

And, by their 'smooth and flattering speech' {chrestologia kai eulogia}
{Chrestologia means 'bland/smooth/fraudulent speech' plus eulogia means 'good communication'
and comes to mean flattering}, they deceive {exapatao} the hearts {kardia} of the 'unsuspecting'/'non-discerning' {akakos} {means those without solid doctrine in their souls are operating on emotions
and are deceived - those who are ignorant of doctrine and therefore 'unsuspecting' and taken in by false teaching. A warning to stick as close to the Word as you can (and as close to the original language and meaning as is possible)}.

{Note: This is a warning that without doctrine, a person is self-centered, emotional, and blind in the soul.
This person can be taken in by a charismatic teacher to whom they are emotionally drawn. This person emphasizes a 'pleasant personality' in their lives instead of solid doctrinal teaching as the right criteria.}

So be it.....

My first pastor was bold and used to call them spiritual retards...
His congregation understood, and appreciated his honesty in protecting them.

We got to keep growing up in grace and truth, or die on the vine.

:coffee::coffee::coffee: so be it....

doesn't sound like your pastor was conformed to the image of the Son.:(:oops::unsure:
The one you prefer and imagine him to be? No.

Is this the same loving Jesus you want us to accept?

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer
many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he
must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have
in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” Matthew 16:21-23

And, a little exegesis would not hurt in better clarifying what too many translations deny us of knowing.

{Stiffest Repute to any disciple - Jesus to Peter}

But He whirled about aggressively and said to Peter, "Go away, Satan!" "You are a stumbling block to Me, because you do not think the things of God {divine viewpoint} . . . but the things of man {human viewpoint}."
{Note: Peter was hard headed. Jesus hit him over the head with a shovel by calling him Satan! He was not Satan and both knew it! And, Jesus said 'Hupago Satanas'. We would say 'Drop DEAD SATAN!
Jesus was not always nice and sweet. He could be tough, like when he tossed over the heavy tables covered with gold and silver coins. Those tables weighed hundreds of pounds, and he just tossed them around!

And, he did not have long hair and looking like a hippy. That image came from pagan converts whose concept of a holy man was derived from what they saw with their pagan priests (whom many were temple prostitutes) Sacred prostitution in ancient Greece

In Christ......

If it were painful and unrewarding, I would not bother with those whom I know will initially desire to reject truth.

The reason I asked is because I can show verses that show that salvation is of grace and not of works.
It's not that I don't believe salvation to be attended by supernatural and natural works. I definitely do. Salvation itself is supernatural. But I for one have never spoken in anything other than learned human language. I have been baptized by the Spirit into Christ and baptized by Christ with the Spirit...which, incidentally, are separate spiritual experiences. One is performed by Christ and the other by the Spirit.
Fruit is how one measures the reality of a changed heart.
I agree that receiving the Holy Spirit does not automatically occur when a person is baptized in water in the name of Jesus. This idea is not consistent with scripture.

Consider, however, at what point, and what evidence confirms the arrival of the Holy Spirit into one's body. The accounts I shared reveal both points. (Acts 2:4, 38-42, 8:12-18, 9:17-18, 10:43-48, 19:1-7, 22:16)

Consider Acts 2:4, the Holy Spirit was received by those who had, prior to the event, accepted that Jesus was the resurrected Son of God.

Consider those in Acts 8. The people knew that had not received the Holy Spirit. How did they know this?

Consider Jesus' words in Luke 11:13. God gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask. How does one know they need
to ask?

Consider Paul's question in Acts 19:2. And what the entire account reveals about when the Holy Spirit is actually
received, and the evidence that proved the experience took place. (Acts 3:7)

Lastly, consider that Paul understood there is no difference in the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ, they are one in the same:
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God
dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:9
