God always gives us a way of escape, therefore we never have to sin
So you're saying, that if we sin after we're saved from condemnation, we'll never make it into heaven? Wow, you must give out tons of warm fuzzy feelings, saying that we'll never be saved until we're totally sinless, which we can't be...so you're preaching an impossible salvation.

Sure it can, on earth as it is in heaven. Christ in you assures that.

How can you be sure that God's will is for people to be sinless? Show me exactly where in Scripture it says "God's will for our lives is to be sinless."

And how many times do I have to repeat myself? Jesus didn't come to make men sinless, but He came so we could be saved from condemnation, so we could be forgiven. FORGIVEN. Not sinless, FORGIVEN. If we were TRULY forgiven/saved from condemnation only AFTER we were sinless, then why would we need forgiven/saved from condemnation?

(Answer: We wouldn't!!!)

God does not want us to sin:

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

But we do, and will.

1 John 1:8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Ok, ya got me on 1 John 2:1...

But the real question is: Where does it say we need to be 100% sinless in order to be saved?

Never said that either
which we can't be
Of course we can be, unless God is a liar.
so you're preaching an impossible salvation.
Only by your straw man understanding.

False gospel 101.

The false gospel tells us that we have been saved from Hell/ The true gospel teaches us we have been saved from self, sin, and death

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Romans 6
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

To believe that Jesus came to save us from the penalty of sin only is a dire mistake. Jesus came to save us from sin itself, and thereby saving us from the penalty of sin. The word tells us in Hebrews 10:26-31, and 2nd Peter 2:20-22 that those that continue in sin after coming into faith with Jesus will not only suffer in Hell with unbelievers, but will suffer a greater damnation than those that have never believed.

lil, shroom is right it doesnt. You do not understand me at all. I am not saying we must live our entire live without sin, I am saying we are able to by the ability given to us by the indwelling Spirit of God.

I don't get what you mean by straw man. I'm being perfectly serious when I ask this: Are you saying as in a scarecrow type of straw man?? So I don't listen to God, but a Scarecrow??

A Strawman is creating a false belief or having a false understanding of what someone is saying. Then arguing against the false belief you have ascribed to them, rather than what they actually believe.

Salvation is only impossible because the false way your perceive what I say. Not that salvation is actually impossible according to what I believe. As a matter of fact I believe me and you both are saved. However there are many one these boards that i do not believe to be truly christians.

Well, I wouldn't go as far as saying others aren't Christian because they don't support what you're saying

I was just handing out cookies while you drank milk and I washed your feet. If you do not want cookies or milk. Fine.

Does that mean you do not want me to wash your feet either?

Perhaps you should open your mind to the possibilty that this statement really does have great meaning.

Luke 7:38 HCSB "and stood behind Him at His feet, weeping, and began to wash His feet with her tears. She wiped His feet with the hair of her head, kissing them and anointing them with the fragrant oil."

Now to me this is a awesome simile of the Body of Christ, his wife. Washing His feet, so how much more should we wash each other's feet.

Easy does it Fenceman . I was kidding around bud :)

Of course they are not not saved because they do not support what I say. you havent been supporting what I say and i believe you to be saved. There are other reason and factors that cause me to question whether or not they are truly following Christ

This i can agree with

No you can't ...... unless you are double-minded. This is what you said in post #611 :

"Continuing in sin is false humity,.... AND .... claiming God cannot free you of your sin is borderline blasphemy."

Make up your mind(s) already.

Continiuing in sin as some type of false humility of never obtaining sinlessness, and sinning once and repenting is not the same thing or eve sinning 100 times and repenting. If one continues in sin they will perish, that doesnt negate forgiveness. The problem is not that I am double minded. The problem is you do not know the word or the gospel.

Continuing in sin is not accepting Jesus Christ.

Wait...I'm confused now. When you said "Make up your mind(s) already" did you mean me too? I don't think you did...but I dunno
