What Kind of Popcorn/Favorite Snack are YOU Bringing to the Next Forum Hot Topic Event?

  • Kettle corn/mixture -- why choose just one kind of naughty when you can have them all at once?!

  • Candy without chocolate -- I'm so edgy, all I need is the sugar. Adding caffeine would be overkill!!

Oh, P'shaw. That peanut butter thread wasn't even controversial! Everybody's like, yeah that's good! No controversy, lol. And I never even brought Orange Marmalade into the mix!

Uh oh, Everyone.

Mr. Edward is telling us we need to step up our game.

He's tired of the CIVILIZED controversial threads we've been having -- obviously, wants to see yelling, chairs being thrown, people having to be held back, hands being thrown, and blessed assurances being kicked!

You know, something like this, but hopefully without all the paternity tests.

I mean, if we can't start a fight over ORANGE MARMALADE... I guess we REALLY must be slacking!

*Seoulsearch hangs her head in defeat at having gotten too old to fight, becoming much too docile and meek, and losing all of her edge.*

Obviously, this is a challenge to get back into fighting shape and start bringing some REAL controversy into the threads!!!

Who's with me, Rocky?!

Speaking of Hot Button topics, I am looking forward to the annual slew of pagan holiday thread. Alway a high-entertainment venue for sure. Halloween is just around the corner. Yeah, "Let's get ready to rumble". My snack of choice will be chocolate candy bars of various types. Probably some candy corn too.

For Halloween the choice should be simple. Old and mold popcorn. That should cover the pagan part as well.

Everyone says candy corn is the worst, every year it's voted as the worst. But I like them. I like them in decorations and in candy form. Guess I have different taste buds.

Lol!

I love all the comradery and enthusiasm people are bringing to this thread!!

I'm envisioning forming a group "The CC Fighting, Food, & Fellowship Committee," where we "scouts" would keep a lookout for "passionate discussions" across the forum.

A group text/message alert would be sent, and all available members would then descend on such threads -- with all our food and fixin's in hand -- and basically form a big Christian flash mob, to watch and observe.

The best part is, we wouldn't have to worry about the stress of trying to organize or set up events to go to or sell tickets for -- we're bound to find something else at any given time (Seoulsearch checks her watch; she's guessing 15-minute intervals between new rumbles -- tops.)

Proceeds from ticket sales could be split to cover costs for those who bring snacks, and any remaining funds could be donated to CC.

I did not know these existed, I did some research for the thread. Did y'all know there is banana popcorn, banana split, baked apple, salt and pepper, cheesy pickle, Buffalo wing and ranch pizza and BBQ "King"??! Check it out, there's more!!

I'm bringing pudding cups. It doesn't seem that anyone could eat them without some degree of civility.
With that said, I'll be bringing this catty pudding for my own enjoyment.

Isn't it Brachs' Candy Corn that has sent a lot of dentists kids to college?
:unsure::):giggle:

I'm actually pretty amazed at how this thread is turning out, lol.

It all started with another bit of drama breaking out in the threads (NO! Say it isn't so!), someone saying they were going to get popcorn, and someone else asking what kind of popcorn!

Now we have people offering to bring an entire slew of goodies, along with homemade dips, entrees, and even grilled delicacies!!

I guess it's really true.

There really ain't no party like a CC Forum Party!! (Especially when there's free entertainment.)

I think we've pretty much proven that if an Introvert Party is online, there ain't no stoppin' it! :D

You're not SAVED !
I AM. You're not!

Now obviously, @Eli1 is someone who REALLY understands the TRUE spirit of this thread!! He has even GENEROUSLY supplied the entertainment for the day!!

Everyone get your food ready, and start bringing it in!!! This is EXACTLY what we've been waiting for!! We don't even have to go looking for a fight, Eli brought the fight TO us!! THANK YOU ELI!

Now, we just need to have this thread looking like the prize display at a church potluck, pronto.

Does everyone have a comfy seat (no fighting over the first row, at least NOT until Eli and I have finished this first round!) and a plateful of snacks?

GREAT!!! LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!

As for Eli's HARSH and COMPLETELY ALLEGED allegations that I AM NOT SAVED -- all I can say is...

I WANT TO SEE THE PATERNITY!!! I'M NOT THE FATHER, I'M TELLING YOU!!!

Oh wait. That must have been the fight I was in THIS MORNING... I guess I'm in some kind of a DIFFERENT fight now??? (That's another hallmark of forum drama -- it can be hard to tell where one fight ends -- IF it does... and when another fight begins.)

I'll have to change gloves 🥊and get back to you on this one, @Eli1! (And you'd better be prepared, because I'm going to be bringing my LAMINATED "I Am Too Saved, You Heathen!" card and putting it on full display!!!

Until then, I deny all allegations until I have secured legal(istic) counsel!!!

(For anyone who doesn't remember or has never heard of "The Jerry Springer Show," it was an American talk show starting in the 90's that became famous for its many, many brawls that both the guests and the audience would break into. Security was always holding people back and dragging them off stage or away from someone else.

Some of the most famous episodes were the ones in which guests would present a paternity test to a panel of men (all of whom could have supposedly been the father,) resulting in an eruption of accusations and denials afterwards.)

I hope this gives everyone enough time to go grab a second round of snacks... And don't forget a nice cold beverage to wash it down! (Surely someone is bringing the beverages?!)

Awesome to see you in the thread @Eli1!!

Please feel free to stop by anytime.

*Seoulsearch is cleverly stalling by way of flattery while gathering up all the IRREFUTABLE evidence that she IS INDEED saved!!*

*Necessary Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape, or form trying to mock or belittle the very serious business of becoming or being saved. However, what I AM poking gentle fun at, is when some people seem to think they have the 100% accurate "ability" to ALWAYS be able to tell exactly who is and isn't saved, especially when all they know about them are a few glimpses of who they are on an online forum. But yet, anyone who disagrees with them over ANYTHING -- always conveniently gets thrown into the "UNSAVED!!!" bucket.*

Don't really know why but when it is candy corn season in the store, I always buy a bunch. Not much taste but somehow it satisfies my sweet tooth. It has to be Brach's though. It's the best. Same brand for jelly beans at Easter too. Another sweet fave of mine.
