This is part of something I just posted on another thread.

When we receive Christ, our spirits become purified, THROUGH HIM.

That pure, holy spirit in us is housed in the temporary shell of SINFUL FLESH.

In our spirits, we desire to be perfect even as God is perfect. Our spirit wills us to be holy, while our flesh has a nasty tendency to pull us the other direction.

When we receive Christ's Spirit in us, our sins are forgiven. Our sinful flesh is WHY we CONTINUE to NEED FORGIVENESS.

"My spirit is willing, but my flesh is so weak"....

We've been supporting what we say with Scriptures, also. The struggling with sin from Romans 7, for instance. We are not EXCUSING sin with it, we are NOT saying it's fine to continue in sin.

God Himself knew that even once we have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus, we still would sometimes be tempted in our flesh, and He ALLOWS FOR THAT IN HIS WORD, so that His children would understand that it IS the flesh that causes us to stumble, but we ARE still His children...EVEN IF WE MAKE MISTAKES IN OUR FLESH.

Does God CONDONE what His children sometimes do in their flesh? NO. We therefore strive not to disappoint the Father.

But thanks to being born of sin, thanks to our purified spirits being temporarily confined in sinful flesh, sometimes we DO stumble.

We are not truly perfect in Christ until our spirits depart from this flesh and we join God in Heaven.

I certainly do not seek to mislead anyone, or to tell anyone that it's acceptable to continue on in sin once they accept Christ. But I personally find it misleading to tell people that once they receive Christ, they will no longer struggle with sin.

Pure and Holy is withut sin.

Yes but even our 14 year old little sis recognized it for what it was so... I think we should heed God's words on the matter and "let them alone".

Just a recommendation. you all can pray and ask God what to do on the matter.

Matthew 15:14
Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

2 Peter 2
then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.

12 But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. 15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.[c]

18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped[d] from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption;

I'm still reminded of the playground bully and his lackeys. the bully who cries victim whenever anyone of authority is watching but who torments the other kids when they think they can get away with it.

I think we should not allow the cries of being a victim hold any weight. If we do not give the bully or his lackey's any words to fashion into fiery darts to sling at us.

I was thinking earlier today.

Are your words a two edged sword that cuts both you and the hearer or are they darts that you shot at others but never apply to yourself?

I think the answer is very telling to the nature of the spirit living inside of both the speaker and the hearer: what is spoken and how the person responds.

anyways I'll catch you girls and gents on another thread, where the person wields a doubled edged sword and not just slinging darts.

Gary you mutate. Not uncommon. Spread dillusions then refer back to nearly sound doctrine, when
it serves your purpose.

Red, there is a truth to keep a level of respect to all men. And especially to keep love
among the brethren even when their doctrine is in flux as they are growing. Although
the timing of your reproof again shows you havnt followed the discourse and taken oppurtunity
to throw a jab. In trying to make small the beauty of the unity of the body that rejoices in the
truth and make it sound as if its a flesh ridden gang formation is really unwarrented, and
has caused you to align your self with a man who you think has good insite. Very well
thats where you want to stand...well its your choice. You therefore have approved of
misleading and false teaching of a very serious kind. And again you have made it all personal.

Love as in making a whip and driving out the money changers? Come on man face a little reality that is in Christ.

Jabs? You need to take a long look at who you are. It isnt I who is denying they can have the Christ in them and live in His perfections. And it isnt I who says He cant come and take away your sins and be one in Him. Read your own confessions and compare them to what Christs you shouldt to be. Examine that what is in you. You just might see you are a sinner insetad of His righteousness as you say you are.

LOL.
your christ isn't the One i know, and am known of.
came to give me his "faith"?

I agree with you 100% -- The Christ that came to me and made me one with Him and as He is and took away my sin and made me the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is not the one you serve.

The one you serve holds you ot sin and that He cant take that from you and you cant be in Him and one with Him with the same Spirit, and that you cant walk as he or have the same mind as He.

I am in Agreement with you on that one for sure. You serve a diffent God from Him who does all these things as He promised.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
( Colossians 1:27-29 )

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 )

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. ( Ephesians 4:6 )

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
( John 17:21-23 )

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
( 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 )

I am feeding off of Gods SPirit in me. I am called here to be a witness of Him. I am sent as an ambassador to witness the Christ that resides in man. If you cant relate to Christ in you, dont accuse me of drawing attention to myself whan all I have done is witness Christ in YOU.

Absoutly ... Thank you. It is everything God would have us be.

There are somethings that GaryMac says that seem to be confused. However, there are some things that he has posted that even you do agree with and have the same understanding about but you don't want that known by certain of the brethren, less they pile on you as you and others have piled on GaryMac. Back home as a kid we would play this game that if someone did or said something outrageous or stupid we jumped on him physically and cry out, "PIG PILE'. When we did that so many times to certain ones through repetition they started to think that they were being rejected and stopped associating with the group and isolated themselves. Oh, how stupid and reckless we were.

There seems to be a 'groupie' here that likes to pile it on certain ones who they don't agree with and they add a mocking spirit to their ridicule. They call is right doctrine but it's like that 'hippie' of the 60's and 70's, who wore their weird clothes, who thought they knew better and rebelled against authority but they had their 'peace movement' and the gov't was always wrong and civil authority was a beast. Well there are Christians that have the same spirit and have never been converted away from that spirit and they love to project it upon others, all in the name of proper doctrine and we know better. It becomes very easy for others to join in and start piling on, being humored and enamored with their own efforts of endorsing each other in the name labeling what they have deemed to be 'gnostic' and a 'false gospel' and take pride in rejecting those they consider false teachers.

you got a secret about zoney Redster?
don't keep anybody in suspense...telll everybody what it is.

"you all" know better?........who is "you all"?

One of the most grotesque aspects of the sociology of modern American protestantism is the phenomenon of Christian Zionism.

~

The Scofield Reference Bible is the transparent bible forgery for changing fundamental Christianity into Rothschild’s Zionism. Today it shamefully dominates the bible colleges and seminaries, beginning with the Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary and pulpits of evangelical churches of America.

let's talk about false gospels

i'll start another thread: IS DISPENSATIONAL THEOLOGY HERESY?

you can defend your certain knowledge of the truth.
if you can prove it Biblically, i will concede.

Then why are you still sinner?
I'm tired of this game.

I can't take you seriously. I can't take ANYONE seriously who claims they do no wrong.

Your message is NOT Jesus Christ's message, no matter how you try to twist and tweak things to make it SOUND SIMILAR.

Jesus Christ died for MY sins, and YOUR sins (yes, you HAD and STILL HAVE the pesky HUMAN FLESH--oh wait, unless you're going to claim you're not even human...in which case, your entire argument makes perfect sense).

On ly you said I am. Truth is I am Gary who has the same Spirit in me Jesus had in him. If you had in you that what Jesus had in him,you could do it yourself.

Even Jesus couldnt do many mighty works in some because of their doubt and unbelief. If I hoped on a plane, which is impossible, and came to you, you wouldnt believe it anymore then you believe Him now. If you believe Him it would be YOU laying hands on the sick and they recover, for these signs DO follow those who believe. It is that you dont believe Him at all.
