Looks like you're very friendly with AI.

Too bad you're not as friendly with God.

HE has all the answers
Well looks like it only took 100 posts for you to get there but here’s you post #266
Just,,, I don't think I've ever insulted you.
Ad hominums are just not my style.
I hope you agree.

Thought that wasn’t your style. Check another off the list. I’m glad you know how my relationship with God is better than I do.

Are you really unable to answer that question?
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE'

Those that gave you a like will be happy to help you out, I'm sure.

@mailmandan
and
@Dino246

And did you STILL MISS my replies to you???
Maybe you jsut don't care to read them?

Check out my post no. 335

And stop asking silly questions that are not worthy of a Christian that CLAIMS to understand his faith.
Yea I didn’t ask either of them. I asked you and you yet again didn’t answer a question.

I understand my faith. I’m trying to understand yours but it seems impossible. I read 335 which was just a copy and paste from another where you still didn’t answer the questions. You actually stated this:
Will check to see what questions I've dismissed
Guess that didn’t happen.

I’ve said this before on here there are multiple answers to every question. If I ask is the sun hot, possible answers include yes or no,, maybe, I don’t know, or I’d rather not answer. There is also the option to ignore but I find that one not to be too polite. Many times pride or fear prevents us from saying I don’t know or I’d rather not answer so instead avoidance and deflection is used.

I'd imagine these verses will irritate some people.
I guess they don't want to know all that the Lord teaches in His Word.

The the Lord says this thru the Apostle John:

1 John 3:7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOES righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Exactly true.

Some say that faith alone makes the man righteous, without doing righteousness.

The Lord says we are what we are doing, either righteousness of God, or evil of the devil.

Jhn 8:34
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever is committing sin is the servant of sin.

1Jo 3:8
He that is committing sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Then the Lord said the following through the Apostle James
James 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:20
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

James 1:21,22
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness (walking after the flesh – see Gal 6:7,8), and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Exactly again. Having faith alone without works, is having ears without deeds.

When we get past all the high sounding speeches and glories about faith alone justification, with lip service to the 'signs' of works, it always comes down to one simple thing:

That a person's faith alone in Christ justifies them, while committing sin with the devil.

All the talk about being justification 'without works', is cover for not talking about being justified with sinful works.

They are not trusting in Jesus Christ to keep them doing good, and not evil, but only trusting in Christ to justify them while doing evil, because they have faith alone in Him to do so.

But, in what Christ does any man have faith alone in, to justify them while doing unrighteousness? Certainly not Jesus Christ the righteous.

Gal 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man is sowing, that shall he also reap. For he that is sowing to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sowing to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting…For there is no respect of persons with God.

1 Peter {1:15}
Be ye holy, for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

If we're transgressing God's commandment like any other man, then we are condemned as any man transgressing His commandment:

Rom 2:3
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?...For there is no respect of persons with God.

And none of our glorious faith alone in any Christ, will justify us with the righteous God. He is not an unjust judge to condemn strangers, but not His own people...

And yet walking after the flesh which is doing bad works which is sin causes people to be separated from the Lord.

The wages of sin is still death and death is being separated from the Lord.
Amen. The wages of sin is still death, and sin still separated man from God.

Faith alone ideology seeks to change the law of sin and death, into sin and life.

Once again, it's just people seeking to be justified by their faith alone, while committing sin with the world.

Job 27:8
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

The hope of faith alone justification, not judgment by works.

Thanks ATG
I was starting to lose hope.

Amen! Saved for good works, not by them. It was the original intention for us to follow the commandments and save ourselves. We couldn't.... The wages of sin is death, our wage... Jesus took that wage so we wouldn't have to. Our requirement? To believe in Him. Saved.... Now go and sin no more.
know what's wrong with YOU GUYS Standard....

you either don't read the entire NT
or
you don't understand it.

And to think that Jesus spoke in a very clear and plain way because what He was saying was so important
and it was so important that those listening UNDERSTOOD what He was saying.

Do you suppose Jesus was a really bad communicator and couldn't get across what He wanted to teach?

And to think it took over 3 years and He even had to hang on a cross to get His message across.

And yet YOU GUYS just don't seem to understand what He was TRYING to teach.

Guess it didn't work.

Sad.

The unanswered question in all these “works are necessary for Salvation or to prove Salvation” , is what exactly constitutes a “work” that would satisfy the requirement and the work inspectors here?
Jhn 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Any and all good works will do. So long as it's not evil displeasing God, right?

We can all begin with the first work of the spirit by Jesus Christ:

Luke 10
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

And the work of the mouth for Jesus Christ:

Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

And all works of faith toward God:

Heb 11:31
By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

1 John 3:17
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

So long as they are not evil works, right?

In all your non-inspection of works, do you avoid knowing if works are evil or good? Do they not matter to God? Let's see if like God you judge by works, or are nonjudgmental by faith alone:

Is any man doing evil, justified by his faith alone? Or, only when doing good?

Let's hear you view on the sin of presumption backed up by scripture.
I'm kind of hoping @Nedsk does not reply to you.

Your hatred of the CC is shocking.
Trinity is not found anywhere in the bible and yet it's true.

The hypostatic union is nowhere in the NT and yet it's true.

Isn't it most terrible that it had to be the CATHOLIC CHURCH to come up with explaining WHO Jesus is?

Ya know Dan...
Maybe the CC was wrong!

Maybe we should ditch the Trinity and the hypostatic union altogether.

You must hate that the CC came up with ALL of Christian theology which YOU are obligated to follow
IF you want to be defined as Christian.

@PennEd has been asking this silly question for years now.

All of THESE GUYS ask the same silly question.

Seems like they want to get as close to the line of demarkation without crossing it.
Know what I mean?
I'm sure you do.

Well, maybe I'll have recooped by the AM and will be able to give you some help here.

THESE GUYS sure do need it.

Here is the definiton of SIN OF PRESUMPTION

The sin of presumption is a theological vice—an excessive, unwarranted hope in God's mercy—where a person continues in sin, assuming they will be saved or forgiven without repentance, effort, or turning away from their sinful behavior. It is considered a form of pride, often characterized as a "rationalization" that abuses God's goodness.
Catholic Answers +4
Key Aspects of the Sin of Presumption:

  • Misplaced Trust: Believing that one will be saved without personal effort or that God will grant salvation regardless of one's actions.
  • Delayed Repentance: Intentionally committing sins with the plan to ask for forgiveness later.
  • Ignoring Justice: A disregard for God's justice, assuming He will not punish sin.
  • False Confidence: Relying on one's own abilities rather than on God's grace, or assuming that one can reach heaven despite living in habitual, unrepentant sin.

Isn't it wonderful that I've been telling you the above for years and years and now I finally know what it's called.
And if it's Catholic....I THANK the CC for explaining this so well.

Somebody had to do it.

And you want @Nedsk to support the above with SCRIPTURE?!

Have you been reading my posts for the past 10 years?

I've supplied PLENTY of passages that prove that we are to have the correct behavior or we will lose our salvation.
We need to ask forgiveness for our sins.
We need to repent. Do you REALLY know what repent means? I'm doubting it.

Abusing God's goodness, as stated above, is also known as
cheap grace
easy believism

A rose by any other name....

I don't promote a license to sin/license for immortality so I would not presume I had eternal life if I was living like the devil. I've heard Roman Catholics accuse believers of the sin of presumption simply for saying they know they have eternal life based on 1 John 5:13 and then those same Roman Catholics twisted 1 John 5:13 to mean the opposite of what the verse actually says.

Exactly. If our faith in Jesus remains steadfast, then also our works will remain good, and not evil.

5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God is not sinning; but he that is begotten of God is keeping himself, and that wicked one is not touching him.

If we do evil, we have forsaken faith in Jesus Christ.

1Jo 3:8
He that is committing sin is of the devil; for the devil is sinning from the beginning.

It's only hard for the transgressor not to do evil. It's not hard at all for those with Jesus' faith to do good, and not evil.

Mat 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Mat 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

What 'other' works?

Sorry if it wasn't clear... I'm referring to acts in general if we think that will see us saved. We're saved by grace

I'd love to go through those verses but it's 12:30 AM here and I'm leaving.
I will say this.....you need to stop talking to CATHOLICS and start talking to Catholic theologians who know what the CC teaches.

Here's something I've probably said other times:
I know YOU don't live a sinful life.
But some do and they think they're saved because of OSAS.
It's a dangerous doctrine.

I get pushback for stating that we're to obey God....
including from you with the ole' strawman of FAITH SAVES US AND NOT WORKS...
mixing up justification and sanctification.

The other comment is this:
I studied with a friar (monk?) for years in a sanctuary about 40 minutes north of me.
Know why? Because there are no Protestant churches around.
So I figured I'd close my ears to Mariology and give it a try.
It was wondeful !
Nothing strange was taught.
I know a priest that's a theologian.
Wonderful !

Try talking to these type persons......
I'm not here to protect the CC, just to tell you that there's something wrong with what you hear.

But your mind will not be changed.

This sin presumption doctrine is correct !
No use in discussing it ad infinitum....but it's exactly what the NT teaches.

Anyway, I'm outta here.
'night.

lol! You’ve been here for six months! What do you know about “years” of questions?

Unless of course you were here before and banned, came back under a different name, or lie, by refusing to say who you were.

Can’t have it both ways Refer to members past remarks you saw as a different screen name, and then refuse to say who you were.

That’s the kind of tactic the deceiver uses.

OSAS becomes a dangerous doctrine when you attach a license to sin/license for immortality to it, just like NOSAS becomes a dangerous doctrine when you attach type 2 works salvation/salvation by works at the back door to it.

We are to obey God. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto/for good works that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) You can get carried away with the word MUST at times in which must or else obey God can quickly turn into legalism.

Nah you’re probably good. According to some though you don’t have it yet. According to others you just lost it. Some say you can get it back and some say you can’t. According to at least one on here, both you and I have been kicked out of the body of Christ already, but I’m guessing he hasn’t gotten to 1 John 2:1 yet.

Does the name Wondering bring back Amy memories?

Maybe you'll stop asking silly questions as you gain Christian maturity.

Oh. And if you stop accusing brethren, that would be nice too.
