Here is the definiton of SIN OF PRESUMPTION
The sin of presumption is a theological vice—an excessive, unwarranted hope in God's mercy—where a person continues in sin, assuming they will be saved or forgiven without repentance, effort, or turning away from their sinful behavior. It is considered a form of pride, often characterized as a "rationalization" that abuses God's goodness.

Key Aspects of the Sin of Presumption:
- Misplaced Trust: Believing that one will be saved without personal effort or that God will grant salvation regardless of one's actions.
- Delayed Repentance: Intentionally committing sins with the plan to ask for forgiveness later.
- Ignoring Justice: A disregard for God's justice, assuming He will not punish sin.
- False Confidence: Relying on one's own abilities rather than on God's grace, or assuming that one can reach heaven despite living in habitual, unrepentant sin.
Isn't it wonderful that I've been telling you the above for years and years and now I finally know what it's called.
And if it's Catholic....I THANK the CC for explaining this so well.
Somebody had to do it.
And you want
@Nedsk to support the above with SCRIPTURE?!
Have you been reading my posts for the past 10 years?
I've supplied PLENTY of passages that prove that we are to have the correct behavior or we will lose our salvation.
We need to ask forgiveness for our sins.
We need to repent. Do you REALLY know what repent means? I'm doubting it.
Abusing God's goodness, as stated above, is also known as
cheap grace
easy believism
A rose by any other name....
