No i am not SDA i promoteur mainLy the t’en commandements, the covenant and Jesus that some know by name but not much more more, i am non denominational and still looking for a Church close to home
Anyone promoting the 10 commandments is fine in my book. I believe that they are the foundation of God's government.

Because if Jesus was pulling your weight, your focus would be on Him and not the law.

A sheep never worries if everything is going as it should if it is simply following the shepherd. Likewise, a Christian never worries about the law when they are following the Shepherd. The Shepherd leads them in paths of righteousness...Psalm 23:3.

If you're being led, your focus will simply be on following the Shepherd. You seem to be focusing on what the Shepherd said and not on where He is leading in the present. That's why you keep going back to what He said. You aren't following Him in the present.
Legalists seem not to take the inner presence and influence of the Holy Spirit into account. Yet that is one of the main differences between the Covenant of Moses and the New Covenant Jesus made on the Cross. Under the Old Covenant relatively few people had the Spirit. That was a prophecy both Joel as well as Jesus affirmed. It only became an experiential realty in Acts 2.

Okay explain, to us the difference between devotion and worship that ordinary "unenlightened" Christians do not understand. As for your two scripture references, I have found, by experience, that you rarely if ever offer a balanced interpretation of a text so I am going to have to challenge you on those too.
Devotion is dedicating time to God which we should do daily though study of His word, prayer, praise etc.

Worship according to Jesus is a deeper commitment He related it to keeping the commandments of God I will quote the verses in its entirety to see what Jesus was speaking about.
Matthew 15:3-4 refers to how the Pharisees through their traditions actually ended up violating the command to honor their parents which God gave. No doubt you think this is meant for ANYONE who disagrees with you any point whatsoever. However, the passage you cited is specifically talking about God's will with respect to "honoring our parents" It has nothing to do with the matters we have been discussing. If you think any of us are trying to replace truth with tradition then you are obliged to make your case by telling us WHICH particular tradition you have in mind. Unless, you can draw that connection this is nothing more than a GRATUITOUS ASSERTION.

Mark7:7-13 is mostly about the same thing as the passage in Matthew except that this one brings up the Pharisees practice of ritual hand-washing which was not done to remove bacteria (which they knew nothing about). Rather, it was about ceremonial/ritual hand washing. Obviously all you are trying to make some point about obedience but since you fail to draw any direct connection to what any of us here have been saying no one is convinced by your scriptures.

Mat 15:3 He (Jesus) answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ (Quoting directly from the Ten Commandments Exo20:12) and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ 5 But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,” 6 he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God. 7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:

8 “ This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
9 in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

Jesus could not condemn this practice more of keeping mans traditions over the commandment of God quoting directly from the Ten Commandments. He said it makes the word of God void-that's serious. He said it makes ones heart far from Him because God placed His laws in the hearts and minds of His believers Heb8:10 rejecting them we make the word of God void and our worship to Him in vain. No wonder why Jesus taught not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments as its the path He said leads to sin and Judgement again quoting from the Ten Commandments Mat5:19-30

So, your claim is that what God wrote on stone tablets is, in some way, more truthful and more "authoritative" than the IDENTICAL WORDS Moses quoted God as saying when he recorded His words on PAPER? How do you figure? Don't the same commands (whether written on stone or paper) express the same truths? Also, since we no longer possess the original tablets but only the version Moses wrote how is anyone to read the what was recorded on stone at all? Your question about "how a human being with a sinful nature could be MORE AUTHORITATIVE than God is irrelevant since, as far as I know, nobody has claimed this. Your conclusion is just as much a straw man as your other arguments.
So you are going to gaslight me? Where did I say the Ten Commandments written by God is more truthful than the law of Moses. You didn't address any of the Scriptures that shows how these 2 laws are very different and served different purposes. One defines what sin is when breaking 1John3:4 James 2:11 Rom7:7 Mat5:19-30 the other was added because of sin. Gal3:19 different laws one written by a human the other by the Spirit of the living God Exo31:18

I think we are at an impasse and no matter how much Scripture is shared seems is going to matter. Its time I move on and God will sort this out in His time.

Take care.

I disagree with this somewhat. The Spirit was poured out on Pentecost. In the OT, the Spirit was sprinkled. One must always have had the Spirit to be saved...Romans 8:9. The operation of the Spirit was less powerful or of a lesser degree. Much like Jesus breathing on the disciples before His death, but the Spirit falling upon them on Pentecost.

I believe the difference is in the administration. One Spirit; different operations and degree.

And now a word from our sponsor

I just saw JC Penney has a sale on towels. Nice too. Anyone want the link?

Who do you think we are making happy when we claim obeying God's commandments the way God said both written and spoken directly by God Exo31:18 that He says keep them if you love Me Exo20:6 John14:15 and turned into "that's a legalist" I can tell you its not God and if we are not serving God Rom6:16KJV Isa56:6 who are we serving. Like obeying God is bad and disobeying God is good. Its a very sad doctrine.

Anyone promoting the 10 commandments is fine in my book. I believe that they are the foundation of God's government.
Yet Jesus did not become the sacrifice just so we could obey the law better. Now we have the opportunity to be completely born anew by the Holy Spirit who takes up permanent residence in us. John the Baptizer foresaw what was coming and prophesied:
11 I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11)
This would produce a profound change in the people of God that even John the Baptist did not get to experience. As Jesus said:
11Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Matthew 11:11)

Sure, Jesus is the perfect example to follow. When was the last time you walked on water and raised the dead? Never? So you are not following the example of Jesus. So your obedience is incomplete and you will not make it into heaven.
You are twisting the truth.

Jesus is our example and we may not be walking on water but praise God for this example of faith because I have found it very useful.

When we are surrounded by trials and problems. The best thing we can do is fix our eyes on Jesus and trust in His power to cause us to walk on water without sinking. When I look at self and take my eyes off Jesus I sink.

I have the aim of being like Jesus in every way I can. He is the perfect example of love and goodness.

Praise God for the example of Jesus.

And I hope you desire to be like Jesus too. What you behold is what you become. And all of the life and example that Jesus gave us shows a life in perfect obedience to the 10 commandments.

Do you desire to be like Jesus?

What Christ said is important, but what he did is what gave us salvation. That is first and foremost.
But the thing that is twisted is WHAT salvation is.

Many are saying that everything was achieved at the cross and our salvation is only about imputed righteousness or justification.

Justification by faith and the cross is very important. They are a large part of salvation but Jesus did not die and give us His robe of righteousness so we can continue to sin.

He wants to restore God's image in us which is reflected in Christ.

He wants to save us from all sin.
Not just our guilt and past sins but from the bondage of sin and the chains of slavery.

We are asked to crucify self, take up the cross and follow Jesus.

Salvation is about forgiveness and freedom from guilt and ALSO freedom from sin by being born again.

Through imparted righteousness or by sanctification Jesus will transform us and mold us into His image.

One gives all to Jesus and is willing to be renewed by faith.
One believes in the cross but will not change or surrender their sins..

WHICH IS TRUE SALVATION?

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

2Co 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Phi 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Phi 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

There are some who debate if salvation was done on the cross or after he rose from the dead. I personally believe it was on the cross as he said it is done, and also told the thief next to him that he would be in paradise with him that day. But faith alone is what saves and washes all who believe from sin. One should not use Christ's redemption of mankind to continue in sin, but the fact is, faith alone in him is the way to salvation. No works or meeting God half way through.

I believe the gentiles were under the law of Noah.

Israel was in covenant to obey the ten commandments.

Gentiles are not under the law but under grace.

Romans 6:15
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!

Shall we murder and steal because we are not under the law?

May it never be!

That's the heresy in your own words above.

"They are a large part of salvation"

You either accept salvation as a free gift or you reject salvation, TMS.

There is no division in who is responsible for our salvation none whatsoever.

Salvation belongs only to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

There is also no division in the law given to the chosen nation at Mt Sinai.

Stop dividing the law, salvation, and the Christian world.

You have been poorly taught.

Luke 22:20
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you
is the new covenant in My blood."

John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

A new covenant IN HIS BLOOD and a new commandment.

Scripture is easy.

And I'm still waiting for a verse that you can quote tells the Gentiles to follow the Mosaic law since you made a claim that there are 55 of them
I have been waiting for so long.

They offered two verses in the O.T.

Both required you to be sojourning in Israel and to be circumcised.

There is no other way for a Gentile to be under the law.

Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

God did hence Ten Deut 4:13 Exo34:28 and after God wrote and spoke His commandments Exo31:18 the Ten Comamndment He added no more Deut5:22 if God didn't add anymore to them who are we to do so? The law of Moses was another law that served a different purposes revealed in Scripture if we allow the Bible to interpret Itself.
Like I said people who support the Mosaic law don't know what they're talking about the ten commandments are apart of the Mosaic law

More importantly is the request from any of you guys to state that it is binding on the Gentiles we have been set free from the Mosaic law
